With the aim of producing simple and effective transparent conducting electrodes, the conducting polymer poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) incorporated with reduced graphene oxide film (rGO) (called rGO-P3HT) was prepared by spin-coating method. Structural, electrical and optical characterization showed that rGO-P3HT films 9.0 wt% P3HT exhibited good stability when exposed to the ambient atmosphere. These composite films of 200 nm thickness possess a sheet resistance and transparency of R□~ 17Ω and T ~ 72%, respectively. Owing to containing conducting polymer, rGO-P3HT-coated glass could be efficiently used in photovoltaic applications, in organic solar cells in particular, with the replacement of the indium tin oxide (ITO) and fluorine tin oxide (FTO) electrodes.

This study focuses on perceived values of entrepreneurship and creativity within a turbulent environment. The initial hypothesis is that a typical entrepreneurial process carries with its ＂creativity-enabling elements＂. In a normal situation, businesses focus on optimizing their resources for commercial gains, thus perceptions about values of entrepreneurial creativity are usually vague. However, in difficult times, the difference between survival and failure may be creativity. This paper examines many previous findings on entrepreneurship and creativity, and suggests a highly possible ＂organic growth＂ of creativity in an entrepreneurial environment and reinforcing value of entrepreneurship when creativity power is present. In other words, the authors see each idea reinforcing the other. The authors survey Vietnamese firms during the chaotic year of 2012 to learn about the ＂entrepreneurship-creativity nexus＂, looking at influential cultural values, namely risk tolerance, relationship, and dependence on resources--to assess how they influence entrepreneurial decisions. A set of 137 qualified responses was obtained for this statistical examination. A categorical data analysis is performed to confirm that creativity and entrepreneurial spirit could hardly be separate, for both entrepreneurial and accomplished companies. Although the most important factor during implementation is still ＂relationship＂, business people are increasingly aware of the need of creativity/innovation in troubled times.

Hip Tuberculosis at Stage IV: Outcomes and Some Conditions for Total Hip Replacement

Background: Treatment of hip disorders during active hip tuberculosis has long been a controversial issue. Some authors have reported performing hip replacement with different strategies with very good outcomes. This study aimed to describe the surgical outcomes and necessary conditions for total hip replacement in active hip tuberculosis. Methods: We conducted a quasi-experimental study. The study enrolled 40 patients with 42 active tuberculosis hips at stage IV treated by total hip replacement from October 2016 to December 2019 at the National Lung Hospital. We followed up with the patients for at least 12 months, evaluated surgical outcomes, and investigated the factors associated with these outcomes by logistic regression analysis. Results: Surgical outcomes showed that 37 patients (88.1%) had excellent hip function, no abscesses, and no sinus tract formation. Four cases (9.5%) had sinus tract formations. One case (2.4%) had good hip function. Binary logistic regression models revealed that sinus tract formation was associated with preoperative tuberculosis infection syndrome. The average time to obtain antituberculosis drug treatment preoperatively was 4.6 weeks. Conclusion: Total hip replacement for active hip tuberculosis is a practical and promising treatment method. Surgeons should consider improving patients’ conditions before performing total hip replacement, administering antitubercular drugs, and arthrotomy to eliminate all abscesses, and decrease the risk of tuberculosis infection syndrome and the inflammatory response.

Characterization of Electrochromic Properties of Polyaniline Thin Films Electropolymerized in H₂SO₄ Solution

Polyaniline (PANI) onto indium-doped tin-oxide (ITO)-coated glass samples were prepared by electroopolymerization in 0.5 M H2SO4 solution. Structure and morphology characterization of the PANI films demonstrated that the films were grown onto ITO substrates in the form of polycrystalline microbelts separated by micropores. By analysing the UV-Vis absorption spectra of the PANI films, the energy bandgap was found to be approximately 2.75 eV. The PANI/ITO films exhibited a good reversible electrochromic display (ECD) performance when cycled in 0.1 M LiClO4 + pro-pylene carbonate. The response time of the ECD coloration was found to be as small as 15 s and the coloration efficiency was found to be 8.85 cm2 C-1. After 100 cycles of the ECD performance, the cyclic voltammetry curve of the working electrode maintained unchanged. This demonstrates that the electropolymerized PANI films can be served as a good candidate for ECD applications, taking advantage of their excellent properties in terms of chemical stability.

The Role of <sup>18</sup>F-FDG PET/CT in Staging Breast Carcinoma in Hanoi Oncology Hospital, Vietnam

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the role of 18F-FDG PET/CT scans in staging breast carcinoma. Materials and Methods: A descriptive study on 46 patients who were diagnosed with breast carcinoma in Hanoi Oncology Hospital, Vietnam from June 2019 to June 2021. Those patients underwent 18F-FDG PET/CT scans for pre-treatment staging. Results: There was a positive correlation between the size of primary tumors and their SUV (p 18F-FDG PET/CT were 75% and 100%, respectively. The rate of distant metastasis detection was 15.2% (7/46 patients). Metastatic lesions were found in bone, lungs, liver, and lymph nodes. There was a significant difference in SUV among organs (p 18F-FDG PET/CT. After PET/CT, 17.4% patients (8/46) had their treatment plan changed. Conclusions: 18F-FDG PET/CT plays an important role in staging breast carcinoma. Determining accurately the breast carcinoma stage by 18F-FDG PET/CT could help alter treatment strategy to best suit with patients, and avoid unnecessary surgery.

Acetabular Defects of Hip Tuberculosis: Recommended Classification and Reconstruction in Hip Arthroplasty

Background: This study aimed to propose a classification of acetabular defects in advanced-stage hip tuberculosis based on preoperative radiographs and intraoperative evaluation, thereby providing options for reconstructing each type of defect in hip arthroplasty. Materials and Methods: We conducted a prospective study with 45 patients with active hip tuberculosis at stage IV who were treated with a total hip replacement strategy. We collected the patients’ acetabular defect data from preoperative radiographs and intraoperative observations. The defects were classified into types based on defect severity and reconstructive complexity. The hip replacement outcomes were evaluated at least 12 months after the operation. Results: The classification system includes three types: type I: localized or extensive defects inside the acetabulum, not affecting the acetabular rim, medial wall, or columns. Type II: extensive defects inside the acetabulum, affecting the acetabular rim or (and) medial wall. Type III: extensive defects inside the acetabulum, causing the medial wall and the acetabular column to lose function. Each type has a corresponding reconstruction. The outcome includes that 41/45 patients had excellent results;3/45 patients had good results. The patients had good results due to nerve and muscle damage caused by tuberculosis not related to the acetabular defects. Conclusion: This is a simple, practical classification system of acetabular defects in hip tuberculosis. The outcome of hip reconstruction using this classification was excellent without any cases of dislocation or protrusion.

The coincidence technique and the coincidence spectroscopy have been developed and applied for over 40 years. Most of popular coincidence measurement systems were based on analog electronics techniques such as time to amplitude conversion (TAC) or logic selecting coincidence unit. The above-mentioned systems are relatively cumbersome and complicated to use. With the strong growth of digital electronics techniques and computational science, the coincidence measurement systems will be constructed simpler but more efficient with the sake of application. This article presents the design principle and signal processing of a simple two-channel coincidence system by a technique of digital signal processing (DSP) using Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) devices at Nuclear Research Institute (NRI), Dalat.

当地球化学数据并不服从正态分布或对数正态分布,甚至连数据转换之后也不服从正态分布时,很难用传统的方法进行统计分析。这里以一个具体的地区为例,应用了基于稳健统计学和EDA技术的地球化学异常下限确定方法,其具有简单和"稳健"的特点,也不要求数据服从任何分布。通过比较分析了基于稳健统计学和EDA技术的地球化学异常下限确定方法与传统方法的优缺点。实践表明,用该方法圈定的地球化学异常符合客观实际,异常范围大,与已知矿床(点)吻合很好。

An optimized formulation of capsules containing Lansoprazole enteric-coated pellets using D-Optimal design with a polynomial statistical model were prepared by using Eudragit?L100 as an enteric coated polymer to provide resistance to simulated gastric acid dissolution in buffer media. D-Optimal experimental design was used to determine the optimal level for three coating layers that were applied to formulate the enteric-coated pellets including a drug loading layer, a sub-coating, and an outer enteric coating. Dissolution studies were performed on the prepared Lansoprazole capsules. Less than 5 percent of Lansoprazole was released in 60 minutes in an acidic dissolution medium (pH 1.2) and greater than 90 percent of active ingredient was released in the next 60 minutes in a buffer dissolution medium (pH 6.8). The Lansoprazole capsules were stable with no observable change in physico-chemical properties in accelerated and normal storage conditions for 6 and 18 months, respectively. The pharmacokinetic parameters Cmax, Tmax, AUC0-t, and AUC0-∞ were determined after administration of the D-Optimal design optimized capsules of LPZ to healthy beagle dogs and were statistically compared to Gastevin? capsules as a reference (KRKA, Slovenia) using the non-compartmental method with the aid of WinNonlin 5.2 software. The analysis of variance showed that the two formulations did not demonstrate bioequivalence using a 90% confidence interval range (80% - 120%) of Cmax, AUC0-t, and AUC0-∞. No significant difference in Tmax was found at the 0.95 significance level using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. D-Optimal Experimental Design provided definitive direction for an optimal formulation of capsules containing enteric-coated pellets of lansoprazole loaded within the coating of pellets that provided similar bioequivalence to Gastevin.
