Thyroid can.er is relatively rare, about 1% of all can.ers combin.d. However, it accoun.s for 88% of all can.ers of the en.ocrin. organ.. In.recen. years, the in.iden.e of thyroid can.er has in.reased con.iderably compared to other types of en.ocrin. can.ers. The aim of our work is to study the epidemiological profile of thyroid can.er in.the western.part of Algeria an. to determin. the in.luen.e of sex, age an. histological type. Patien.s an. methods: Our study focuses on.1376 cases of thyroid can.er in.patien.s atten.in. the n.clear medicin. departmen. at the un.versity hospital of Tlemcen.over a period of 3 years, from 2013 to 2015. The average age of patien.s is estimated at 43. Each patien. un.erwen. an.an.tomo-histopathological examin.tion.of the surgical specimen. The data en.ry is don. through the SPSS 20 statistical software. Results: The rates of the thyroid can.ers listed durin. the three years of studies (2013-2014-2015) are 32.12%, 34.44% an. 33.43% respectively. Our study shows that the female sex is largely in.rimin.ted (94.75%) compared to the male sex. The age group mostly affected was that ran.in. from 40 to 60 with 45.88%. The an.tomo-histopathological an.lysis revealed that the papillary carcin.ma is the most frequen. histological type with 85.47% followed by the vesicular carcin.ma with 14%, the medullary can.er MTC with 0.43%, an. fin.lly the an.plastic carcin.ma with 0.07%. Con.lusion. the epidemiological surveillan.e con.ributes to a better kn.wledge of thyroid carcin.ma allowin. a good patien. man.gemen. in.Algeria. Early detection.of small size can.ers an. the use of high-performin. techn.logies will result in.a decrease of the mortality rate associated to this type of can.er.

Objectives： In.ectious tricuspid en.ocarditis is kn.wn.to simply require an.ibiotherapy an. to have good progn.sis in.most cases. Few studies focused on.severe episodes man.ged in.ICU. We aimed to describe clin.cal an. microbiological features, an. fmal outcome of in.ectious tricuspid en.ocarditis man.ged in.ICU. Methods： From 1 Jan.ary 2009 to 31 August 2017, all patien.s hospitalized in.in.en.ive care un.t with in.ectious tricuspid en.ocarditis were en.olled. Key fin.in.s： We collected 15 episodes of in.ectious tricuspid en.ocarditis. Median.age was of 39 years. Risk factors were： in.raven.us drug users （n.= 10）, pace maker （n.= 1）, vascular device （n.= 2）, n.n. （n.= 2）. Median.SAPS II, APACHE II an. SOFA on.admission.were 21, 10 an. 2 respectively. Organ.failures on.admission.were： acute respiratory failure （n.= 10）, sepsis （n.= 7）, coma （n.= 1） an. acute kidn.y in.ury （n.= 8）. The most frequen. causative pathogen.was Staphylococcus Aureus. An.ibiotherapy failure happen.d in.10 patien.s from whom 8 un.erwen. cardiac surgery （53.3%）. Most frequen. complication. were acute kidn.y in.ury （n.= 14） an. withdrawal syn.rom. In.ectious tricuspid en.ocarditis relapse on.bioprosthesis occurred within.2 in.raven.us drug users after hospital discharge. Overall in.hospital mortality was 40%. Con.lusion.： In.ectious tricuspid en.ocarditis in.ICU is fitted with poor progn.sis an. high n.ed to cardiac surgery. Special care should be provided to in.raven.us drug users to preven. relapse.
