Loss of drilling fluid is a common problem during the drilling of wells and it restricts the appropriate functionality of *** fluid loss significantly increases drilling costs and non-productive time as well as the drilling operation *** investigations have been carried out in order to find appropriate mud additives that either block fractures and pores or reduce fluid loss by improving the fluid ***,environmentally friendly and effective additives are still required by the drilling ***,the application of available materials in each region,to produce appropriate additives,is a challenge for the oil *** this study,Eucalyptus Camaldulensis(EUC)bark powder has been chosen as a new,fibrous,cheap,environmentally friendly and available material to control fluid loss,particularly in southern *** characterization tests,such as acid dissolution and fluid loss control,were carried out to study the performance of the new proposed *** by hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid were studied at various acid concentrations and *** fluid loss was also measured at different EUC *** study showed that EUC powder can reduce the final fluid loss by 88-97%,the initial fluid loss by 45-66%,and the total loss by 87e94%,which is a satisfactory level.

Polyphenols are a large family of more than 10,000 naturally occurring compounds,which exert countless pharmacological,biological and physiological benefits for human health including several chronic diseases such as cancer,diabetes,cardio-vascular,and neurological *** role in traditional medicine,such as the use of a wide range of remedial herbs(thyme,oregano,rosemary,sage,mint,basil),has been well and long known for treating common respiratory problems and cold *** review reports on the most highlighted polyphenolic compounds present in up to date literature and their specific antiviral perceptive properties that might enhance the body immunity facing COVID-19,and other viral infec-tious *** fact,several studies and clinical trials increasingly proved the role of polyphenols in controlling numer-ous human pathogens including SARS and MERS,which are quite similar to COVID-19 through the enhancement of host immune response against viral infections by different biological ***,polyphenols ought to be considered as a potential and valuable source for designing new drugs that could be used effectively in the combat against COVID‐19 and other rigorous diseases.

A computational analysis of magnetized hybrid Darcy-Forchheimer nanofluid flow across a flat surface is presented in this *** the study of heat and mass transfer aspects viscous dissipation,activation energy,Joule heating,thermal radiation,and heat generation effects are *** suspension of nanoparticles singlewalled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs)and multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs)are created by hybrid ***,single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs)produce nanofluids,with water acting as conventional fluid,*** partial differential equations(PDEs)that describe the ultimate flow are converted to nonlinear ordinary differential equations(ODEs)using appropriate similarity *** ODEs are dealt with numerically by means of MATLAB’s inbuilt routine function ***,temperature,and concentration profiles are explained pictorially whereas Sherwood number,local skin friction coefficient,and Nusselt number values are represented through bar *** radiation and activation parameters shows direct impact on flow ***,hybrid nanofluid admits a higher magnitude of velocity and temperature than nanofluid,but the concentration profile exhibits the opposite *** notable findings of the present investigation have significant applications in heat combustion and cooling chambers,space technology,the ceramics industry,paint and conductive coatings,bio-sensors,and many more.

Localization of sensor nodes in the internet of underwater things(IoUT)is of considerable significance due to its various applications,such as navigation,data tagging,and detection of underwater ***,in this paper,we propose a hybrid Bayesian multidimensional scaling(BMDS)based localization technique that can work on a fully hybrid IoUT network where the nodes can communicate using either optical,magnetic induction,and acoustic *** communication technologies are already used for communication in the underwater environment;however,lacking localization *** and magnetic induction communication achieves higher data rates for short *** the contrary,acoustic waves provide a low data rate for long-range underwater *** proposed method collectively uses optical,magnetic induction,and acoustic communication-based ranging to estimate the underwater sensor nodes’final ***,we also analyze the proposed scheme by deriving the hybrid Cramer-Rao lower bound(H-CRLB).Simulation results provide a complete comparative analysis of the proposed method with the literature.

Electrospinning is a simple technique used to fabricate polymeric nano-fibrous *** nano-fibers have found a wide range of valuable applications in the biomedical ***,it has not been utilized with solid high explosives ***,the electrospinning technique has been used to fabricate polystyrene(PS)/1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazinane(RDX)composite *** governed electrospinning parameters,voltage,distance from the collector,flow rate,mandrel rotating speed,time,and solution concentration,that greatly affect the morphology of the obtained nanofibers were *** fabricated PS/RDX nano-fibers were characterized using scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffractometer(XRD),and Fourier Transform Infrared(FTIR)*** impact and friction sensitivities of PS/RDX were also *** thermal behavior of the prepared composite and the pure materials were studied by the thermal gravimetric analysis technique(TGA).SEM results proved the fabrication of PS/RDX fibers in the nano-size via *** spectroscopy confirmed the existence of the characteristic functional groups of both PS and RDX in the composite *** sharp peaks showed the conversion of amorphous PS into crystalline shape via electrospinning and also confirmed the formation of PS/RDX *** PS fibers absorbed the heat and increased the onset decomposition of the pure RDX from 181.5 to 200.7℃in the case of PS/RDX ***,PS/RDX nano-fibers showed the relatively low impact and friction sensitivities of 100 J and 360 N *** results could introduce PS/RDX nanofibrous composite in the field of explosives detection with high levels of safety.

Friction-stir-welded overaged 7020-T6 alloy joint: an investigation on the effect of rotational speed on the microstructure and mechanical properties

Commercial A7020-T6 plates in the overaged state were subjected to friction stir welding with four different tool rotational speeds of 500, 710, 1000, and 1400 r/min and a single traverse feed rate of 40 mm/min. The resultant changes in the welding heat input, microstructure, and the mechanical properties of the joints were investigated. The changes were related to the processes of growth, dissolution, and re-formation of precipitates. The precipitate evolution was examined by differential scanning calorimetry, and the microstructural analysis was conducted using optical, scanning, and transmission electron microscopes. The results showed that the grain size in the stirred zone(SZ) decreased substantially compared with the base metal, but increased with tool rotational speed because of the rise in temperature. We found that the width of the heat-affected zone increased with tool rotational speed. The hardness and the tensile strength in the SZ increased with increasing heat input compared with the base metal in the overaged condition. This recovery in mechanical properties of the joints can be attributed to the dissolution and re-formation of precipitates in the SZ and the thermomechanically affected zone. This process is referred to as an "auto-aging treatment."

许多年来,巴基斯坦面临着严重的能源短缺。该国的能源危机已经影响到巴基斯坦的其他经济领域。在当代世界,各国的经济严重依赖于不间断的能源供应。以更高的成本提供的能源反而会增加产品的制造成本。2030年的能源需求将会是如今的七倍,将需要超过3.61亿吨的能源。此外,石油价格是波动的,将升至每桶100美元以上,这将直接影响该国的经济。来自生物质的能量是集中的,并且转换技术是高效的。此外,从不可再生能源向可再生能源的转变更加便宜、环保,并且足以解决国家的能源问题。由于巴基斯坦是一个农业国,农作物残留物在全国广泛产生和分布,目前的研究集中在从最常见的巴基斯坦原料中回收能量,包括棉花、稻壳、甘蔗渣和锯末。在目前的工作中,通过应用热重分析进行生物质的动力学研究,收集近似和最终结果,并监测所选生物质之间的组成差异。热重分析结果表明,生物质在三个不同的区域降解。在第一个降解区域,水分被蒸发。而在第二降解区,生物质中的纤维素和半纤维素被分解。在第三分解阶段,生物质中的木质素在惰性或氧气燃烧环境下被降解。目前的研究调查了在这种情况下利用当地生物质废物进行能源生产的情况,TGA分析被用来确定生物质中潜在的挥发性物质碳含量及其燃尽残渣。热重分析结果表明,生物质在三个不同的区域降解,在第一个区域,水分被蒸发。在惰性环境下观察样品的高热值(HHV),SD样品为15.79 MJ·kg,RH样品为12.36 MJ·kg,SB样品为16.83 MJ·kg,CS样品为15.11 MJ·kg。而在氮气环境下,SD的活化能为53.46 k J·mol,RH为52.9 k J·mol,CS为79.10 k J·mol,SB为68.32k J·mol。此外,对于上述样品序列,在燃烧环境下计算的活化能分别为123.28 k J·mol、118 k J·mol、106.31k J·mol和122.6 k J·mol。这些结果对于利用当地生物质作为能源以及减少环境污染具有重要意义。
