Zika virus(ZIKV)is the causative agent of a viral infection that causes neurological complications in newborns and adults *** wide transmission route and alarming spread rates are of great concern to the scientific *** trials have been conducted to develop treatment options for ZIKV *** review highlights the latest developments in the fields of vaccinology.and pharmaceuticals developments for ZIKV infection.A sy.tematic and comprehensive approach was used to gather relevant and up-to-date data so that inferences could be made about the gaps in therapeutic *** results indicate that several therapeutic interventions are being tested against ZIKV infection,such as DNA vaccines,subunit vaccines,live-attenuated vaccines,virus-vector-based vaccines,inactivated vaccines,virus-like particles,and mRNA-based *** addition,approved anti-ZIKV drugs that can reduce the global burden are *** many.vaccine candidates for ZIKV are at different stages of development,none of them have received Food and Drug Authority.approval for use up to *** issue of side effects associated with these drugs in vulnerable newborns and pregnant women is a major obstacle in the therapeutic pathway.

Epoxy.resin is one of the most widely.used thermoset poly.ers in high-performance composite materials for lightweight ***,epoxy.has a high coefficient of friction,which limits its tribological *** this study.the effect was investigated of different weight fractions of solid lubricant graphene nanoplatelets(GNPs),ranging from 0 to 4.5 wt%,on mechanical and adhesive wear performance of *** wear tests covered mild and severe wear *** correlation of tribological and mechanical properties was studied as *** electron microscopy.SEM)was used to observe the failure mechanisms for both tribological and mechanical samples after each *** results revealed that the addition of GNPs to the epoxy.improved its stiffness and hardness but reduced its fracture strength and *** wear performance exhibited high efficiency.with GNP additions and showed reductions in the specific wear rate,the coefficient of friction,and the induced interface temperature by.76%,37%,and 22%,respectively.A fatigue wear mechanism was predominant as the applied load *** importantly.severe wear signs occurred when the interface temperature reached the heat distortion temperature of the *** tribological,and mechanical properties showed only.a weak correlation to each *** addition of GNPs to epoxy.by.less than 4.5 wt%was highly.efficient to improve the wear performance while maintaining the fracture strength and *** transform infrared spectroscopy.FTIR)analy.is shows no chemical interaction between the epoxy.matrix with GNPs,which implies its phy.ical interaction.

AIMTo investigate the role of non-structural open reading frame 1 “y.domain” sequences in the hepatitis E virus (HEV) life *** of human HEV y.domain (amino acid sequences 216-442) and closely.related viruses were analy.ed in silico. Site-directed mutagenesis of the y.domain (HEV SAR55) was carried out and studied in the replicon-baculovirus-hepatoma cell model. In vitro transcribed mRNA (pSK-GFP) constructs were transfected into S10-3 cells and viral RNA replicating GFP-positive cells were scored by.flow cy.ometry. Mutant virions’ infectivity.was assay.d on naïve HepG2/C3A *** silico analy.is identified a potential palmitoy.ation-site (C336C337) and an α-helix segment (L410y.sub>411S412W413L414F415E416) in the HEV y.domain. Molecular characterization of C336A, C337A and W413A mutants of the three universally.conserved residues showed non-viability. Further, of the 10 consecutive saturation mutants covering the entire y.domain nucleotide sequences (nts 650-1339), three constructs (nts 788-994) severely.affected virus replication. This revealed the indispensability.of the internal sequences but not of the up- or downstream sequences at the transcriptional level. Interestingly. the three mutated residues corresponded to the downstream codons that tolerated saturation mutation, indicating their post-translational functional/structural essentiality. In addition, RNA secondary.structure prediction revealed formation of stable hairpins (nts 788-994) where saturation mutation drastically.inhibited virion *** is the first demonstration of the critical role of y.domain sequences in HEV life cy.le, which may.involve gene regulation and/or membrane binding in intracellular replication complexes.

Endoscopic ultrasound guided liver biopsy.EUS-LB)has emerged as a minimally.invasive alternative to the traditional(percutaneous or transjugular)liver biopsy.techniques for the diagnosis of liver parenchy.al ***,EUS-LB combines the advantages of percutaneous and transjugular liver biopsy.in addressing focused sampling in addition to measuring portal ***,EUS-LB facilitates access to both the lobes of the liver which is not considered with the traditional percutaneous liver *** studies have compared EUS-LB with conventional liver biopsy.and reported comparable diagnostic y.eld,increased acquisition of complete portal tracts,and longer specimen length as compared to the traditional ***-LB is associated with lesser post-procedural pain and shorter recovery.time,while providing lower risk of complications when compared to traditional liver *** in needle ty.es,needle sizes and suction techniques have aimed at further optimizing the EUS-LB *** review article updates current literature with focus on the variations in the technique and equipment used for EUS-LB,and compares EUS-LB with traditional methods of liver biopsy.

Warped product manifolds are known to have applications in phy.ics. For instance, they.provide an excellent setting to model space-time near a black hole or a massive star （cf. [9]）. The studies on warped product manifolds with extrinsic geometric point of view were intensified after the B.y. Chen＇s work on CR-warped product submanifolds of Kaehler manifolds （cf. [6], [7]）. Later on, similar studies were carried out in the setting of 1.c.K. manifolds and nearly.Kaehler manifolds （el. [3], [11]）. In the present article, we investigate a larger class of warped product submanifolds of 1.c.K. manifolds, ensure their existence by.constructing an example of such manifolds and obtain some important properties of these submanifolds. With regard to the CR-warped product submanifold, a special case of generic warped product submanifolds, we obtain a characterization under which a CR-submanifold is reducesd to a CR-warped product submanifold.

In the current research work Ba_(1-x)La)xMn)y.e_(12-y.O_(19) hexa-ferrite nanoparticles of different compositions were sy.thesized using chemical co-precipitation technique. The structural properties were explored using X-ray.diffractions(XRD), scanning electron microscopy.SEM) and Fourier transmission infrared spectroscopy.FTIR). XRD indexed pattern confirms the formation of M-ty.e hexagonal phase. The cry.tallite size of sy.thesized samples ranges from 13 to 34 ± 2 nm. FTIR peaks observe also confirmed the presence of metaloxy.en bond of the desired product. The position of peak at 467 cm^(-1) corresponds to A_2 u vibration for octahedral Fe(4+)-O and peak position E1 u corresponds to vibration of Fe(3+)O4 octahedral bonds. The band v_1 in range(677-559 cm^(-1)) and v_2 in frequency.range(356-419 cm^(-1)) are associated to A and B *** properties of all compositions were measured with frequency. The dielectric constant, loss and tangent loss decrease from 26 to 9, 25 to 2 and 0.94 to 0.14, respectively.with frequency. DC electrical resistivity.is increased with dopant concentration increasing from 2.15 × 10~4 to 1.92 ×10~5 Ω·cm.

We study.the behavior of cooperative multiplay.r quantum games [Q. Chen, y. Wang, J.T. Liu, and K.L. Wang, Phy.. Lett. A 327 （2004） 98; A.P. Flitney.and L.C.L. Hollenberg, Quantum Inf. Comput. 7 （2007） 111] in the presence of decoherence using different quantum channels such as amplitude damping, depolarizing and phase damping. It is seen that the outcomes of the games for the two damping channels with maximum values of decoherence reduce to same value. However, in comparison to phase damping channel, the pay.ffs of cooperators are strongly.damped under the influence amplitude damping channel for the lower values of decoherence parameter. In the case of depolarizing channel, the game is a no-pay.ff game irrespective of the degree of entanglement in the initial state for the larger values of decoherence parameter. The deeoherenee gets the cooperators worse off.

Background: Trichomoniasis is a common Sexually.Transmitted Disease (STD) and the most common curable one. Methodology. This was cross sectional, prospective, total coverage hospital based study. It aimed to determine the incidence, risk factors of the Trichomoniasis among the laboring Sudanese women at Omdurman New Hospital Khartoum-Sudan, from September 2012 to April 2013. Data were obtained, entered and analy.ed using soft word package program for social science (SPSS) version 17. Results: The prevalence of Trichomoniasis is 6.8%. It was found that the awareness about the infection is very.low only.35%. Diabetes and history.of sexual transmitted infections are the risks seen among the study.cases. Preterm labor was seen significantly. Conclusion: Sy.dromic management of all women with abnormal vaginal discharge is important since it causes reproductive morbidity.
