In this paper,the Ram. distribution(RD)is considered,and a new m.del called extended Ram. distribution(ERD)is *** new m.del involves the sum.of two independent Ram. distributed random.*** probability density function(pdf)and cum.lative distribution function(cdf)are obtained and *** is found that the new m.del is skewed to the *** m.them.tical and statistical properties are derived and *** properties studied include m.m.nts,coefficient of variation,coefficient of skewness,coefficient of kurtosis and m.m.nt generating *** sim.lations are undertaken to illustrate the behavior of these *** addition,the reliability analysis of the distribution is investigated through the hazard rate function,reversed hazard rate function and odds *** param.ter of the distribution is estim.ted based on the m.xim.m.likelihood *** distributions of order statistics for ERD are also *** perform.nce of the suggested m.del is com.ared with several other lifetim. distributions based on som. goodness of fit tests on a real *** turns out that the suggested m.del is m.re flexible than its com.etitors considered in this study,for m.deling real lifetim. data.

An Efficient Billing Schem. for Trusted Nodes Using Fuzzy Logic in Wireless Sensor Networks

Extending the lifetim. of the wireless sensor networks (WSNs), where recharging sensors is not always possible, has been a m.jor concern for researchers for the past decade. In this paper, we study the cooperation between nodes in wireless sensor networks in forwarding packets to others, and we propose a new collaboration technique which stim.lates interm.diate nodes to forward packets toward their destination. Som. nodes show selfish behavior by denying the forwarding packets to other nodes in com.ercial networks in an effort to preserve their own energy. This paper applies a technique which is used to prolong the network lifetim., based on a node’s energy and trust value, and additionally incorporates fuzzy logic, which stim.lates nodes to forward packets by rewarding cooperation. According to sim.lation results, the proposed approach surpasses the Nuglets (virtual currency) approach and the Reputation approach in network energy and thus prolongs the network lifetim.. Additionally, our proposed approach dem.nstrates better results in the num.er of dropped packets, PDR and forwarded packets to neighboring nodes.

Changes in m.ternal Lifestyle during Ram.dan Altered Placental Developm.nt

People born with low birth weight are at a greater risk of developing later life diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and cancer. Recent studies have pinpointed the placenta as a critical factor involved in developm.ntal program.ing. Changes in m.ternal lifestyle or dietary habits can alter placental developm.nt and increase the risk of developm.ntal program.ing of adult diseases. Saudi people, including pregnant wom.n, change their lifestyle and eating habits during the holy m.nth of Ram.dan. Previous studies found that the exposure to Ram.dan lifestyle reduces placental weight;however, effects on other placental aspects rem.ined unknown. We aim.d to further exam.ne the effects of exposure to Ram.dan lifestyle on full-term.placental m.rphom.trics, histology and gene expression of key glucose transporters. To exam.ne this, fresh placentas were collected from.60 healthy Saudi wom.n. Sam.les were equally classified into two groups;not exposed to Ram.dan lifestyle (control) or exposed to Ram.dan lifestyle in the first. Placental weight, length and breadth were recorded and placental surface area was calculated. Placental tissue was processed and stained with eosin and hem.toxylin for histological exam.nation. Apoptosis was assessed using TUNEL assay. The gene expression of the glucose transporters GLUT1 and GLUT3 was evaluated. The results show that wom.n exposed to Ram.dan lifestyle have m.re elongated placentas with less central cord insertion. Placental weight and surface area were significantly lowered in wom.n exposed to Ram.dan lifestyle. Placental length was not affected but the breadth was significantly sm.ller in than control. Placentas exposed to Ram.dan lifestyle had fewer and less-developed syncytial knots and thicker syncytiotrophoblast cells. Apoptosis was detected in placentas exposed to Ram.dan lifestyle. Validity of Existing Rain Water Harvesting dam. within Part of Western Desert, Iraq

The study area is located within the western part of Iraq between Latitude (32°45'0'' - 34°0'0'') North and longitude (39°30'0'' - 40°45'0'') East within Anbar Governorate. It covers an area of 4767.423 Km. with elevation ranges from.360 to 840 m. The general slope decreases from.southwest to northeast. Five old dam. identified in the study area. The results of SWAT m.del showed high curve num.er (70 - 85) indicating low filtration and runoff rate (1.2 - 8.2) m. for the period (1994-2014). These dam. have catchm.nt areas ranged between (118.03 - 673.41) km.. They were to be used for agricultural purposes. The results according to the Food, Agriculture Organization (FAO) standards for their distance from.agricultural areas using a GIS showed that all are not suitable except dam.num.er (1). The distance to roads showed that dam. (1, 4) are highly suitable, (2, 3) are low suitable and dam.(5) is not suitable. The average annual quantity of rain water that can be harvested from.the 5 dam. is about 12.9 m.llion cubic m.ters.
