Relationship between nutritional therapy and beneficial bacteria ratio in severe disease

Objective:To evaluate relationship between changes in the beneficial bacteria in intensive care unit(ICU)patients and nutritional therapy ***:Ten patients aged≥18 years admitted to the ICU between January and December 2020,were *** enteral nutrition was defined as early achievement of target calorie intake through enteral *** ratio of beneficial bacteria at the first and second bowel movements after each patient’s admission was calculated and the patients were classified into the increase or decrease *** all patients,five each were in the increase and decrease *** investigated patient background,changes in sequential organ failure assessment(SOFA)and acute physiology and chronic health evaluation(APACHE)Ⅱscores,nutritional doses or methods,and clinical ***:No relationship was found between changes in the ratio of beneficial bacteria and changes in SOFA/APACHEⅡscores at the time of *** rate of good enteral nutrition was significantly higher in the increase group than in the decrease group(4/5 vs.0/5,P=0.01).Conclusions:An increase in beneficial bacteria may be significantly related to the early establishment of enteral *** the future,accumulating cases may make it possible to establish a new nutritional strategy for critically ill patients from an intestinal microbiota perspective.

2D Finite Element Computer Analysis of Strength for Brazed Joint of Cemented Carbide and Silver Brazing Filler Metal

Brazing has a wide acceptance in industries and its simplicity in variety of application attracts more and more patronage. The strength of brazing joint determines the reliability of brazed engineering components. So the need to ascertain the reliability or to predict its failure （without some destructive testing） becomes high even with a computer aided analysis using the Finite Element Analysis. Here, we have employed the services of FEA software, Abaqus CAE, as a tool for the computer calculation to investigate a joint case of cemented carbide brazed with silver-based filler metal. In this paper, 2D analysis has been adopted because the thickness of the material （in 2D） does not influence the final calculation results. We have applied constant loading and constant boundary condition to explore data from the elastic and plastic strain analysis through which we were able to predict the maximum joint strength with respect to the joint thickness. The pattern of the meshing was also significant. And the result could be transferable to a real-life field situation. The final results showed that there is an optimum thickness of the filler metal with the maximum strength which matches that obtained from experiment.
