Quinary oxynitride BaNb_0.5Ta_0.5O_2N crystals were fabricated through the partial nitridation and acidifica- tion of the KCI flux grown Ba_5Nb_2Ta_2O_15 crystals. The parameters of both the solute concentrations and cooling rates are optimized for the KCI flux growth of the larger Ba_5Nb_2Ta_2O_15 crystals with clearer crystal habits. Here, the optimal Ba_5Nb_2Ta_2O_15 crystals mainly have a hexagonal plate-like shape. After the par- tial nitridation and acidification, the porous BaNb_0.5Ta_0.5O_2N crystals maintained the crystal shape of the oxide precursor and had a single-crystalline nature. For the BasNb2Ta2015 crystals, the wavelength of the absorption edge was about 707 nm. Especially, the CoOx-Ioaded BaNb_0.5Ta_0.5O_2N photocatalyst demon- strated the comparatively high amount of O_2 gas （150.7 μmol） during the 5 h visible-light-induced sacri- ficial water oxidation half-reaction, which might be achieved due to the high crystallinity and visible-light absorotion property.

To reduce the collision shock and risk of injury to an infant in an in-car crib(or in a child safety bed)during a car crash,it is necessary to limit the force acting on the crib below a certain allowable *** realize this objective,we propose a semi-active in-car crib system with the joint application of regular and inverted pendulum *** crib is supported by arms similar to a pendulum,and the pendulum system itself is supported by arms similar to an inverted *** addition,the arm acting as a regular pendulum is joined with the arm acting as an inverted pendulum through a linking mechanism for simplicity,and the friction torque of the joint connecting the base and the latter arm is controlled using a brake mechanism,which enables the proposed in-car crib to gradually increase the deceleration of the crib and maintain it at around the target *** system not only reduces the impulsive force but also transfers the force to the infant′s back using a spin control system,i.e.,the impulse force is made to act perpendicularly on the *** spin control system was developed in our previous *** present work focuses on the acceleration control system.A semi-active control law with acceleration feedback is introduced using the sliding mode control ***,a feedback system of the crib acceleration relative to the vehicle is proposed for the high-vibrational ***,a control experiment using scale model is conducted to confirm the effectiveness,and some results are reported.

We study symmetric hyperbolic systems with memory-type dissipation and investigate their dissipative *** treat two cases:memory-type diffusion and memory-type relaxation,and observe that the dissipative structures of these two cases are essentially ***,we show that the dissipative structure of the system with memory-type diffusion is of the standard type,while that of the system with memory-type relaxation is of the regularity-loss type.

The title compounds were synthesized by taking advantage of the Martin ligand. Their structures were determined by X-ray crystallography. Pentacoordinate thiasiliranides were hydrolyzed to give the corresponding thiol. Pentacoordinate chalcogenaphosphiranes were found to have polar P-chalcogen bonds, which were confirmed by their reactions with CF3SO3Me to give the corresponding 1-（methylchalcogena）alkylphosphonium triflates and by the solvent-dependent NMR studies.

The shaft-less impeller of the centrifugal pump, which is driven by the magnetic induction, was developed. Theimpeller rotates under the floating condition without any control device. The floating condition of the impeller isrealized by utilizing the pressure in pump casing. The pump performance and the rotational behavior of the impellerwere investigated experimentally. It has found that the floating position of the impeller become quite unstablein a partial flow rate operation. And the pressure distribution at the casing wall affects the rotational posture ofthe impeller. This paper presents the effect of the casing treatment on the rotational posture of the impeller and thepressure distribution. The reasonable casing treatment is available for the stable rotational posture of the impeller.

Ghrelin, a novel growth hormone-releasing peptide, was originally isolated from rat and human stomach. Ghrelin has been known to increase the secretion of growth hormone (GH), food intake, and body weight gain when administered peripherally or centrally. Ghrelin is also known to stimulate the gastric motility and the secretion of gastric acid. In the previous studies, the action of ghrelin on acid secretion was shown to be as strong as that of histamine and gastrin in in-vivo experiment. In the studies, the mechanism for the action of ghrelin was also investigated. It was shown that vagotomy completely inhibited the action of ghrelin on the secretion of gastric acid suggesting that vagal nerve is involved in the mechanism for the action of ghrelin on acid secretion. As famotidine did not inhibit ghrelin-in-duced acid secretion in the study by Masuda et al, they concluded that histamine was not involved in the action of ghrelin on acid secretion. However, we have shown that famotidine completely inhibited ghrelin-induced acid secretion and histidine decarboxylase (HDC) mRNA was increased in gastric mucosa by ghrelin injection which is inhibited by vagotomy Our results indicate that histamine is involved in the action of ghrelin on acid secretion. Furthermore synergistic action of gastrin and ghrelin on gastric acid secretion was shown. Although gastrin has important roles in postprandial secretion of gastric acid, ghrelin may be related to acid secretion during fasting period or at night. However, further studies are needed to elucidate the physiological role of ghrelin in acid secretion.

Photodynamic Therapy of Cancer Cells with Methanesulfonate Salts of 5-Aminolevulinic Acid and Its Derivatives

A series of 5-aminolevulinic acid and its alkylester methanesulfonates was exploited to photodynamic therapy（PDT） of human lymphocytic cells, U-937 in vitro. The PDT efficiency is influenced by the concentration and incubation time. Generally, for ALA and its alkylester methanesulfonates, the cell survival rate decreases and the accumulation ability of PplX increases with the concentration and incubation time. We found that the longer carbon chain methanesulfonates（C5-S, C6-S, C8-S） exhibit better PDT effect than ALA methanesulfonate. This possibly provides a promising route to the clinical application ofPplX-mediated PDT to cancer cell.

In this paper,we explore the relationship between dual decomposition and the consensusbased method for distributed *** relationship is developed by examining the similarities between the two approaches and their relationship to gradient-based constrained *** formulating each algorithm in continuous-time,it is seen that both approaches use a gradient method for optimisation with one using a proportional control term and the other using an integral control term to drive the system to the constraint ***,a significant contribution of this paper is to combine these methods to develop a continuous-time proportional-integral distributed optimisation ***,we establish convergence using Lyapunov stability techniques and utilising properties from the network structure of the multi-agent system.

To suppress the cavitation in the impellers and to make the turbo-pump lives longer, the inducer was separated from the main impeller and both impellers were driven independently. The performance of the pump and the flow conditions around the impellers were investigated experimentally and the following results were obtained. （1）The main impeller contributes to the flow interaction between the inducer and the main impeller. （2）The rotational speeds of both impellers can be controlled independently in order to suppress simultaneously the cavitation not only in the main impeller, but also in the inducer.

One-Pot Room-Temperature Synthesis of Mg Containing MCM-41 Mesoporous Silica for Aldol Reactions

One-pot synthesis of Mg containing MCM-41(Mg-MCM-41) materials was respectively carried out by a room temperature(RT) method and a hydrothermal(HT) method for aldol condensation of 4-nitrobenzaldehyde and acetone and self-condensation of acetone. The RT method can prepare MCM-41 materials containing large amounts of Mg while maintaining the structural characteristics of MCM-41 even at very low Si/Mg ratios(large Mg loadings), but the HT method cannot. The RT method can also give more active catalysts than the HT method, because the catalysts prepared by the RT method are more basic than those prepared by the HT one. The characterization indicates that Mg atoms in the Mg-MCM-41 prepared by the RT method exist as MgO disperses well on the wall surface of pores, while those in Mg-MCM-41 prepared by the HT method are included in the bulk with a smectite-like structure.
