Perinatal hypoxic-ischemic(HI)brain injury is a leading cause of morbidity and longstanding disability in newborns(Millar et al.,2017).Improved neonatal intensive care has increased survival in infants with pregnancy and birth related ***,many surviving neonates exhibit neurological abnormalities that can persist throughout life(Millar et al.,2017).Early neuroprotective strategies have the potential to improve neurological outcomes and attenuate developmental delay in ***,hypothermia is the only currently approved intervention for HI encephalopathy in fullterm infants,which is only partially protective(Millar et al.,2017).Findings in preterm and full-term infants suggest that elevations in proinflammatory cytokines are important in the pathogenesis of HI-related brain injury(Millar et al.,2017).The high mobility group box-1(HMGB1),a representative damage associatedmolecular pattern(DAMP)protein,has been reported to be implicated in a variety of brain related inflammatory diseases including traumatic brain injury,epilepsy,and stroke(Nishibori et al.,2019).Anti-HMGB1 therapies have gained increasing interest to treat inflammation related disorders in the brain(Nishibori et al.,2019).However,there is a paucity of information regarding the pathology of HMGB1 in HI-related brain injury during the perinatal *** current perspective discusses the potential contributions of HMGB1 to HI-related brain injury during the perinatal period and also addresses the potential of HMGB1 as a therapeutic target of the brain ***,this perspective emphasizes the potential for combinational therapeutics for hypothermia with anti-HMGB1 monoclonal antibodies(mAb)in perinatal HI brain injury.

A new process for electrolytic production of a perfluorinated compound, （CF3）3N, using lanthanum nickel oxide-coated Ni sheet anode in the （CH3）4NF· 4.0HF melt at room temperature, was developed. Thin films of the lanthanum nickel oxides were prepared on Ni sheets by sol-gel coating method using polyvinlylpyrrolidone（PVP）. The main components of the thin films were La2O3, LaNiO3, and La2NiO4 at 500, 750 and 1000℃, respectively. The anode performance in the （CH3）4NF·4.0HF melt depends greatly on the main component of the thin film, and the LaNiO3-coated Ni sheet anode gives the best anode performance. The potential of LaNiO3-coated Ni sheet anode remains constant at 5.9 V during electrolysis at 20 mA·cm^-2 in the （CH3）4NF·4.0HF melt for 100 h. This is because LaNiO3 and NiF3 and/or Ni2F5, the latter of which was formed during electrolysis, in the film give a high electronic conductivity to the surface film during electrolysis. The maximum mole fraction of （CF3）3N （21.4%） was obtained at 20 mA·cm^-2 in （CH3）4NF·4.0HF melt using the LaNiO3-coated Ni sheet.

During nerve reconstruction,nerves of different thicknesses are often sutured together using end-to-side neurorrhaphy and end-to-end neurorrhaphy *** this study,the effect of the type of neurorrhaphy on the number and diameter of regenerated axon fibers was studied in a rat facial nerve repair *** inflow-type end-to-side and end-to-end neurorrhaphy model with nerve stumps of different thicknesses（2：1 diameter ratio） was created in the facial nerve of 14 adult male Sprague-Dawley *** 6 and 12 weeks,nerve regeneration was evaluated in the rats using the following outcomes：total number of myelinated axons,average minor axis diameter of the myelinated axons in the central and peripheral sections,and axon regeneration ***-to-end neurorrhaphy resulted in a significantly greater number of regenerated myelinated axons and rate of regeneration after 6 weeks than end-to-side neurorrhaphy;however,no such differences were observed at 12 *** the regenerated axons were thicker at 12 weeks than at 6 weeks,no significant differences in axon fiber thickness were detected between end-to-end and end-toside ***,end-to-end neurorrhaphy resulted in greater numbers of regenerated axons and increased axon regeneration rate during the early postoperative *** rapid reinnervation is one of the most important factors influencing the restoration of target muscle function,we conclude that end-to-end neurorrhaphy is desirable when suturing thick nerves to thin nerves.

Light field cameras are becoming popular in com- puter vision and graphics, with many research and commercial applications already having been proposed. Various types of cameras have been developed with the camera array being one of the ways of acquiring a 4D light field image using multiple cameras. Camera calibration is essential, since each application requires the correct projection and ray geometry of the fight field. The calibrated parameters are used in the fight field image rectified from the images captured by multiple cameras. Various camera calibration approaches have been proposed for a single camera, multiple cameras, and a moving camera. However, although these approaches can be applied to calibrating camera arrays, they are not effective in terms of accuracy and computational cost. Moreover, less attention has been paid to camera calibration of a light field camera. In this paper, we propose a calibration method for a camera array and a rectification method for generating a light field image from the captured images. We propose a two-step algorithm consisting of closed form initialization and nonlinear refinement, which extends Zhang＇s well-known method to the camera array. More importantly, we introduce a rigid camera constraint whereby the array of cameras is rigidly aligned in the camera array and utilize this constraint in our calibration. Using this constraint, we obtained much faster and more accurate calibration results in the experiments.

We report new petrological, phase equilibria modeling, and fluid inclusion data for pelitic and mafic granulites from Rundv?gshetta in the highest-grade region of the Neoproterozoic Lützow-Holm Complex(LHC),East Antarctica, and provide unequivocal evidence for fluid-rock interaction and high-temperature metasomatism in the presence of brine fluid. The studied locality is composed dominantly of well-foliated pelitic granulite(K-feldspar+quartz+sillimanite+garnet+ilmenite) with foliation-parallel bands and/or layers of mafic granulite(plagioclase+orthopyroxene+garnet+ilmenite+quartz+biotite). The boundary between the two lithologies is defined by thin(about 1 -20 cm in thick) garnet-rich layers with a common mineral assemblage of garnet+plagioclase+quartz+ilmenite+biotite ? orthopyroxene. Systematic increase of grossular and decrease of pyrope contents in garnet as well as decreasing Mg/(Fe+Mg) ratio of biotite from the pelitic granulite to garnet-rich rock and mafic granulite suggest that the garnet-rich layer was formed by metasomatic interaction between the two granulite lithologies. Phase equilibria modeling in the system NCKFMASHTO demonstrates that the metasomatism took place at 850 -860℃, which is slightly lower than the peak metamorphism of this region, and the modal abundance of garnet is the highest along the metapeliteemetabasite boundary(up to 40%), which is consistent with the field and thin section observations. The occurrence of brine(7.0 -10.9 wt.% Na Cleqfor ice melting or 25.1 -25.5 wt.% NaC leqfor hydrohalite melting) fluid inclusions as a primary phase trapped within plagioclase in the garnet-rich layer and the occurrence of Cl-rich biotite(Cl = 0.22 -0.60 wt.%) in the metasomatic rock compared to that in pelitic(0.15 -0.24 wt.%) and mafic(0.06-0.13 wt.%) granulites suggest infiltration of brine fluid could have given rise to the high-temperature metasomatism. This paper proposes a framework for critical element identification and demolition planning of frame *** quantitative indices considering the severity of the ultimate collapse scenario are proposed using reinforcement learning and graph *** action is defined as removing an element,and the state is described by integrating the joint and element features into a comprehensive feature vector for each *** establishing the policy network,the agent outputs the Q value for each action after observing the *** numerical examples,it is confirmed that the trained agent can provide an accurate estimation of the Q values,and handle problems with different action spaces owing to utilization of graph ***,different behaviors can be learned by varying hyperparameters in the reward *** comparing the proposed method and the conventional sensitivity index-based methods,it is demonstrated that the computational cost is considerably reduced because the reinforcement learning model is trained ***,it is proved that the Q values produced by the reinforcement learning agent can make up for the deficiencies of existing indices,and can be directly used as the quantitative index for the decision-making for determining the most expected collapse scenario,i.e.,the sequence of element removals.

The vacuolar (H+)-ATPases (V-ATPases) are ATP-driven proton pumps with multiple functions in many organisms. In this study, we performed structural and functional analysis of vha55 gene that encodes V-ATPase subunit B in the smokybrown cockroach Periplaneta fuliginosa (Blattodea). We observed a high homology score of the deduced amino acid sequences between 10 species in seven orders. RNAi of the vha55 gene in R fuliginosa caused nymphal/nymphal molting defects with incomplete shedding of old cuticles, growth inhibition, as well as bent and wrinkled cuticles of thoraxes and abdominal segments. Since growth inhibition caused by vha55 RNAi did not interfere in the commencement of cockroach molting, molting timing and body growth might be controlled by independent mechanism. Our study suggested V-ATPases might be a good candidate molecule for evolutionary and developmental studies of insect molting.

Two-dimensional quantum transport of multivalley （111） surface state in topological crystalline insulator SnTe thin films

The magneto-transport properties of （111）-oriented single-crystal thin films of SnTe were investigated. SnTe （111） thin films were epitaxially grown on a BaF2 substrate by molecular beam epitaxy. By optimizing the growth conditions and the thickness of the films, the bulk carrier density could be reduced, making it possible to detect the surface transport. Magneto-conductance （MC） measurements show a cusp-like feature around zero magnetic field, which is attributed to the weak-antilocalization effect of the transport in the topological surface state. Detailed analysis of this negative MC reveals a reduced number of transport channels contributing to the surface transport, suggesting strong coupling between Dirac valleys on the SnTe （111） surface, as a characteristic feature of the transport in the multivalley structure of topological crystalline insulators.
