Characterization of convex domains in C^2 with non-compact automorphism group

In the field of several complex variables, the Greene-Krantz Conjecture, whose consequences would be far reaching, has yet to be proven. The conjecture is as follows： Let D be a smoothly bounded domain in Cn. Suppose there exists {gj} C Aut（D） such that {gj（z）} accumulates at a boundary point p ∈δD for some z C D. Then DD is of finite type at p. In this paper, we prove the following result, yielding further evidence to the probable veracity of this important conjecture： Let D be a bounded convex domain in C2 with C2 boundary. Suppose that there is a sequence {gj} Aut（D） such that {gj（z）} accumulates at a boundary point for some point z ∈ D. Then if p E OD is such an orbit accumulation point, OD contains no non-trivial analytic variety passing through p.

The Receptor Interacting Protein(RIP)kinase family consists of seven Serine/Threonine kinases,which plays a key signaling role in cell survival and cell *** RIP family member contains a conserved kinase domain and other domains that determine the specific kinase function through proteineprotein ***1 and RIP3 are best known for their critical roles in necroptosis,programmed necrosis and a non-apoptotic inflammatory cell death *** of RIP kinases contributes to a variety of pathogenic conditions such as inflammatory diseases,neurological diseases,and *** cancer cells,alterations of RIP kinases at genetic,epigenetic and expression levels are frequently found,and suggested to promote tumor progression and metastasis,escape of antitumor immune response,and therapeutic ***,RIP kinases can be either pro-tumor or anti-tumor depending on specific tumor types and cellular *** agents for targeting RIP kinases have been tested in clinical trials mainly for inflammatory *** expression of these kinases in different types of cancer suggests that they represent attractive therapeutic *** focus of this review is to outline the role of RIP kinases in cancer,highlighting potential opportunities to manipulate these proteins in cancer treatment.

Exercise during weight loss improves hepatic mitophagy

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)has recently become a public health concern concurrent with the obesity *** work has shown aberrant mitochondrial content/quality and autophagy in models of NAFLD,whereas exercise is known to improve these *** purpose of this study was to examine the effect of different weight-loss modalities on hepatic mitochondrial content,autophagy and mitophagy in ***-eight male C57BL/6J mice were divided into 1 of 4 groups:low fat diet(LFD,10%fat,18 weeks),high fat diet(HFD,60%fat diet,18 weeks),weight-loss by diet(D,60%fat diet for 10 weeks then 10%fat diet for 8 weeks)or weight-loss by diet and physical activity(D/PA,60%fat diet for 10 weeks,then 10%fat diet plus a running wheel for 8 weeks).Immunoblot data were analyzed by one-way analysis of variance(ANOVA)with significance denoted at p<***-IV protein contents were approximately 50%less in HFD compared to LFD.D/PA had 50%more BNIP3 compared to ***1 content was 40%higher in D and D/PA compared to ***/PARKIN levels were 40%lower in HFD,D,and D/PA compared to *** p-UbSer65 was 3-fold higher in ***3II/I ratio was 50%greater in HFD and D/PA,yet p62 protein content was 2.5 fold higher in ***-fat diet causes disruptions in markers of mitochondrial quality *** activity combined with diet were able to ameliorate these derangements and seemingly improve hepatic mitochondrial quality above control values.
