Chickpea is an important food legume crop of Turkey and is largely grown for human consumption on low moisture or salt-affected soils. The objective of the study was to find the effects of NaCl stress at electrical conductivities of 4.5, 8.6, 12.7 and 16.3 dS/m and seed sizes （7, 8 and 9 mm） on germination and early seedling growth of three popular chickpea cultivars （AKN-97, Gokce and Uzunlu-99）. Mean frequency of germination, germination time, germination index, root length, shoot length and seedling fresh weight showed seed size-dependent responses ofcultivars to salt stress. In general, small seeds germinated and grew more rapidly compared to medium and large seeds of the same cultivars against all levels of salt stress, with the best results in cultivar Uzunlu-99. No effect of NaCl treatments was observed on frequency of germination; however, a drastic decrease in early seedling growth was recorded at increased NaC1 concentrations. Regression analysis results showed a significantly positive relationship （P〈0.01） between seed size and mean germination time, whereas a significantly negative relationship was recorded between seed size and germination index, root length, shoot length. Moreover, linear regression values apparently confirmed that increased seed size in each cultivar affected decreased germination index, root and shoot lengths with enhanced mean germination time. Thus, it was concluded that the use of small seeds could considerably reduce the production costs of chickpea in salt-affected soils.

非酒精性脂肪性肝病（NAFLD）是一种累及全身多个系统的临床疾病，其疾病谱包括肥胖、2型糖尿病、代谢综合征、心血管疾病、慢性肾病、非肝脏恶性肿瘤、认知障碍和多囊卵巢综合征等诸多肝外表现。心血管疾病是NAFLD患者最常见的死亡原因，其次是非肝脏恶性肿瘤、2型糖尿病和其他肝脏相关并发症。不仅如此，这些肝外疾病的严重程度与NAFLD的严重程度密切相关。在临床中，认识并了解合并疾病之间的相互关系对疾病谱启动迅速且及时的筛查和多学科治疗管理具有重要意义。2020年，来自22个国家的专家达成共识，将NAFLD重新定义为代谢（功能障碍）相关性脂肪性肝病（MAFLD），这也导致了这一患者群体得到重新定义。尽管MAFLD患者和NAFLD患者大部分重合，但两个群体仍具有一定的差异性。因此，将NAFLD患者和MAFLD患者发生的主要肝外合并症进行对比，并探讨其相互间的影响。

Nano graphene platelet(Gr)reinforced nano composites with a zinc–aluminum alloy(ZA27)matrix were produced by powder metallurgy at four different mass ratios(0.5wt%,1.0wt%,2.0wt%and 4.0wt%)and three different sintering temperatures(425,450,and 475°C).In order to investigate the effect of sintering temperatures and nano graphene reinforcement materials on the composite structure,the microstructures of the composite samples were investigated and their densities were determined with a scanning electron ***,transverse rupture,and abrasion wear tests were performed to determine the mechanical *** to the test results,the porosity increased and the mechanical strength of the nano composites decreased as the amount of nano graphene reinforcement in ZA27 ***,when the composites produced in different reinforcement ratios were evaluated,the increase in sintering temperature increased the mechanical structure by positively affecting the composite structure.

The influence of hydrostatic pressure, temperature, and impurity on the electronic and optical properties of spherical core/shell/well/shell （CSWS） nanostructure with parabolic confinement potential is investigated theoretically. The energy levels and wave functions of the structure are calculated by using shooting method within the effective-mass approximation. The numerical results show that the ground state donor binding energy as a function layer thickness very sensitively depends on the magnitude of pressure and temperature. Also, we investigate the probability distributions to understand clearly electronic properties. The obtained results show that the existence of the pressure and temperature has great influence on the electronic and optical properties.

The Acıgöl Graben in SW Turkey,ca.50-55 km in length and 11-15 km in width,formed during the Miocene to Quaternary *** graben is bounded by active normal faults of MaymundağıFault(MF)to the northwest and the GemişFault Zone(GFZ)to the southeast that have triggered significant earthquakes,causing considerable *** study focuses on the Bozkurt segment of the MF,which caused a damaging earthquake(Mw 6.0)in 2019 and another significant earthquake in 1886 during historical times.A paleoseismological trench survey along the Bozkurt segment revealed at least two faulting events,with the last event producing a vertical displacement of 0.25 *** Optical Stimulated Luminescence(OSL)dating indicates that the last earthquake occurred 3.13±0.33 ka BP,while the penultimate earthquake occurred 4.0±0.72 ka *** dates correspond to a long-term slip rate of approximately 0.36±0.11 mm/a and a mean recurrence interval of 2.08 ka,short-term slip rate 0.78±0.16 mm/a and recurrence interval of 0.96 ka,and compatible with the mean sedimentation rate of 0.26 mm/a,calculated from drill logs in Acıgöl *** the 6 km length of the Bozkurt segment and its vertical displacement of 0.25 m in the last event,this segment has the potential to generate earthquakes ranging from 5.6 to 5.9 ***-term slip rates derived from geomorphological data are 0.56 mm/year to the north and 0.64 mm/a to the south of the graben,indicating higher subsidence on the southern *** rates are in accordance with the slip rates calculated from the paleoseismological trench survey and sedimentation rate from the *** indications show that the Bozkurt segment is an active Holocene fault with relatively long recurrence intervals and low-slip ***,the paleoseismological studies in combination with geomorphological data are important tool to assess seismic hazards and to define the characteristics of individual fault segments.

An adapted-bubbles approach which is a modification of the residualfree bubbles(RFB)method,is proposed for the Helmholtz problem in 2D.A new two-level finite element method is introduced for the approximations of the bubble *** the other equations such as the advection-diffusion equation,RFB method when applied to the Helmholtz equation,does not depend on another stabilized method to obtain approximations to the solutions of the ***-bubbles(AB)are obtained by a simple modification of the *** modification increases the accuracy of the numerical solution *** provide numerical experiments with the AB method up to ch=5 where c is the wavenumber and h is the mesh *** tests show that the AB method is better by far than higher order methods available in the literature.

The dissolution behavior of Caldag lateritic nickel ore subjected to a sequential organic acid leaching method was investigated. The effects of the type of organic acid, acid concentration, leaching time, and leaching temperature on the lateritic nickel ore were examined. Organic acids were used individually prior to sequential leaching. Citric acid was more effective than the other two acids for the selective leaching of nickel and cobalt. An increase in the citric acid concentration negligibly affected the dissolution of the metals, whereas temperature exhibited a strong beneficial effect. Oxalic acid was determined to be the most appropriate organic acid for the second leaching step. After 8 h（4 h ＋ 4 h） of leaching with organic acids（0.5 M citric ＋ 0.5 M oxalic） in sequence at 90°C, 89.63% Ni, 82.89% Co, and 69.63% Fe were leached from the lateritic nickel ore. A sequential citric ＋ oxalic acid leaching method could represent a viable alternative for the dissolution of metals from lateritic nickel ore.

The oxidative polycondensation reaction conditions of 4-m-tolylazomethinephenol （4-TAMP） in the presence of air O2 and NaOCl as oxidants were studied in an aqueous alkaline medium between 50 and 90℃. The structures of the obtained monomer and oligomer were confirmed by FT-IR, UV-Vis, ^1H- and ^13C-NMR and elemental analysis techniques. The physical characterization was made by TG-DTA, size exclusion chromatography （SEC） and solubility tests. At the optimum reaction conditions, the yield of oligo-4-m-tolylazomethinephenol （O-4-TAMP） was found to be 62.50% （for air O2 oxidant） and 90.0% （for NaOCl oxidant）, respectively. According to the SEC analysis, the number-average molecular weight （Mn）, weight-average molecular weight （Mw） and polydispersity index （PDI） values of O-4-TAMP were found to be 2310, 2610 g tool 1 and 1. 13, respectively, using air O2, and 1390, 1710 g mol^-1 and 1.23, using NaOCl, respectively. According to TG-DTA analyses, O-4-TAMP was more stable than 4-TAMP against thermal decomposition. The weight losses of 4-TAMP and O-4-TAMP were found to be 68% and 58% at 1000℃. Electrical conductivity of the O-4-TAMP was measured, showing that the polymer is a typical semiconductor. Electrochemically, the highest occupied molecular orbital （HOMO）, the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital （LUMO） and electrochemical energy gaps （E＇g） for 4-TAMP are -5.96, -3.22 and 2.74 eV, respectively. The HOMO, LUMO and （E＇g） for O-4-TAMP are -5.78, -3.44 and 2.34 eV, respectively. According to UV-Vis measurements, optical band gaps （Eg） of 4-TAMP and O-4-TAMP were found to be 3.45 and 3. 1 0 eV, respectively.
