Background: 4D-CT has be.n use. to localize.the.parathyroid ade.omas and hype.plasia since.2006 as a se.ond line.study afte. TC-99 m MIBI and ultrasonography. Howe.e., multiple.studie. have.shown that 4D-CT is a robust imaging me.hod with high diagnostic accuracy, be.oming incre.singly popular among surge.ns and radiologists. Purpose. To asse.s the.diagnostic pe.formance.of 4D-CT scans to ide.tify the.pathologic gland(s), using pathology and intraope.ative.findings as gold standards. Me.hods: We.analyze. patie.ts with primary and se.ondary hype.parathyroidism who had intraope.ative.re.orts, pathology, parathyroid hormone.le.e.s, and pre.pe.ative.4D-CT. Histology, surgical findings, and de.re.se. parathyroid hormone.le.e.s we.e.use. as gold standards. The.se.sitivity, spe.ificity, positive.pre.ictive.value.(PPV), ne.ative.pre.ictive.value.(NPV), accuracy and 95% confide.ce.inte.val we.e.calculate.. Fle.ss’ kappa was use. to asse.s the.inte.-obse.ve. agre.me.t. Re.ults: Sixty-se.e. patie.ts we.e.include.. Sixty-two patie.ts had a single.ade.oma, and five.patie.ts had a multiple.gland dise.se.(ade.omas or hype.plasia). A total of 72 glands we.e.prove. to have.parathyroid ade.omas or hype.plasia. The.se.sitivity, spe.ificity, PPV, NPV and accuracy are.85%, 97%, 96%, 87% and 91% for late.alization and 76%, 96%, 85%, 92% and 90% for quadrant localization, re.pe.tive.y in single.gland dise.se. The.se.sitivity, spe.ificity, PPV, NPV and accuracy are.88%, 100%, 100%, 50% and 90% for late.alization and 71%, 100%, 100%, 60% and 80% for quadrant localization re.pe.tive.y in multiple.gland dise.se. Fle.ss’ kappa value.is 5.6 (mode.ate.inte.-obse.ve. agre.me.t). Conclusion: 4D-CT is a robust me.hod in the.localization of hype.functioning parathyroid glands with high accuracy and at le.st mode.ate.inte.-obse.ve. agre.me.t.

The.stable.fly, Stomoxys calcitrans （L.）（Dipte.a： Muscidae., is a blood-fe.ding, e.onomically important pe.t of animals and humans worldwide. Improve. manage.e.t strate.ie. are.e.se.tial and the.r de.e.opme.t would be.e.it from studie. on ge.e.ic di- ve.sity of stable.flie.. e.pe.ially if done.on a global scale. such re.e.rch could ge.e.ate.information ne.e.sary for the.de.e.opme.t and application of more.e.ficie.t control me.h- ods. He.e.n we.re.ort on a ge.e.ic study of stable.flie. using amplifie. fragme.t le.gth polymorphism, with sample. of 10-40 individuals acquire. from a total of 25 locations in the.Ne.rctic, Ne.tropic, Pale.rctic, Afrotropic and Australasian bioge.graphical re.ions. We.hypothe.ize. that ge.e.ic diffe.e.tiation would e.ist across ge.graphical barrie.s. Although Fsx （0.33） was mode.ate.y high, the.Gsx （0.05; re.re.e.ting ge.e.ic dive.sity be.we.n individuals） was ve.y low; Nm value. （re.re.e.ting ge.e.flow） we.e.high （9.36）. The.mismatch distribution and te.ts of ne.trality sugge.te. population e.pansion, with no ge.e.ic diffe.e.tiation be.we.n locations.
