Grape powdery mildew(PM),caused by the biotrophic ascomycete Erysiphe necator,is a devastating fungal disease that affects most Vitis vinifera *** have previously identified a panel of *** accessions from central Asia with partial resistance to PM that possess a Ren1-like local *** this study,we show that in addition to the typical Ren1-associated late post-penetration resistance,these accessions display a range of different levels of disease development suggesting that alternative alleles or additional genes contribute to determining the outcome of the interaction with the *** identify potential Ren1-dependent transcriptional responses and functions associated with the different levels of resistance,we sequenced and analyzed the transcriptomes of these central Asian accessions at two time points of PM *** were compared to identify constitutive differences and PM-inducible responses that may underlie their disease resistant *** to *** in all resistant accessions were characterized by an early up-regulation of 13 genes,most encoding putative defense functions,and a late down-regulation of 32 genes,enriched in transcriptional regulators and protein *** Ren1-dependent responses included a hotspot of co-regulated genes on chromosome *** also identified 81 genes whose expression levels and dynamics correlated with the phenotypic differences between the most resistant accessions‘Karadzhandahal’,DVIT3351.27,and O34-16 and the other *** study provides a first exploration of the functions associated with varying levels of partial resistance to PM in *** accessions that can be exploited as sources of genetic resistance in grape breeding programs.

Dynamic Spacer Installation of Multifunctionalities into Metal-Organic Frameworks for Spontaneous One-Step Ethylene Purification from a Ternary c_(2)-hydrocarbons Mixture

Simultaneous ethane and acetylene removal from a c_(2)-gases mixture(c_(2)h_(6),c_(2)h_(4),and c_(2)h_(2))through a one-step separation process for ethylene purification is of great importance yet challenging in petrochemical industry,owing to their similar molecule sizes and physical ***,a series of multifunctionalized metal–organic frameworks(MOFs),LIFM-XYY-1∼8(LIFM stands for Lehn Institute of Functional Materials,and XYY are the initials of the first author),are constructed via a dynamic spacer installation(DSI)approach to optimize the pore-nanospaces for efficient c_(2)h_(4) isolation from the ternary c_(2)-gases *** of variable organic-spacers into the prototypical MOFs,LIFM-28 or PcN-700,results in dramatically improved pore volume/surface area,contracted pore size,and functionalized pore surface,which in turn bring out high c_(2)-gases uptake capacities,enhanced c_(2)h_(6) and c_(2)h_(2) adsorption selectivities over c_(2)h_(4),and fast adsorption kinetics,providing an effective strategy to achieve delicate trade-off among these indexes for adequate separation ***,optimized LIFM-XYY-7 presents four-times c_(2)h_(6) and c_(2)h_(2) adsorption capacities than *** breakthrough experiments reveal that poly-grade c_(2)h_(4)(>99.9%)can be obtained from binary or ternary c_(2)-hydrocarbon mixtures through a single separation *** with themolecular simulations,this work demonstrates a promising protocol of porenanospace engineering via multi-functional optimization by the DSI approach to screen out MOFs for a formidable task.

There are five vital signs that healthcare providers assess: temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and pain. Normal levels for the five vital signs are published by the American heart Association, and other specialty organizations, however, the sixth vital sign (resilience) which adopts the measure of immune resilience is suggested in this paper. Resilience is the ability of the immune system to respond to attacks and defend effectively against infections and inflammatory stressors, and psychological resilience is the capacity to resist, adapt, recover, thrive, and grow from a challenge or a stressor. Individuals with better optimal immune resilience had better health outcomes than those with minimal immune resilience. The purpose of this paper is to conceptualize, contextualize, and operationalize all six vital signs. We suggest measuring resilience subjectively and objectively. Subjectively, use a 5-item guided interview revised from the connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (cDRc), a scale of 10 items. The revised cDRc scale is a 5-item scale. The scale is rated on a 5-point Likert scale from 0 (not true) to 4 (true all the time). The total score ranges from 0 to 20, with higher total scores indicating greater resilience. The scale demonstrated good construct validity and internal consistency (α = 0.85) during the development of the scale. The cD-RISc had a good cronbach’s alpha level of 0.85. The Revised cD-RISc can be completed in 2 - 4 minutes. To measure resilience objectively, we suggest using Immune Resilience (IR) levels, the level of resilience to preserve and/or rapidly restore immune resilience functions that promote disease resistance and control inflammation and other inflammatory stress. IR levels are gauged with two peripheral blood metrics that quantify the balance between cD8 and cD4 T-cell levels and gene expression signatures tracking longevity-associated immunocompetence and mortality- or entropy-associated inflammation. Medication beliefs predict medication adherence in ambulatory patients with decompensated cirrhosis

AIM To investigate the impact of medication beliefs, illness perceptions and quality of life on medication adherence in people with decompensated *** One hundred adults with decompensated cirrhosis completed a structured questionnaire when they attended for routine outpatient hepatology review. Measures of self-reported medication adherence(Morisky Medication Adherence Scale), beliefs surrounding medications(Beliefs about Medicines Questionnaire), perceptions of illness and medicines(Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire), and quality of life(chronic Liver Disease Questionnaire) were examined. clinical data were obtained via patient history and review of medical records. Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator and stepwise backwards regression techniques were used to construct the multivariable logistic regression model. Statistical significance was set at alpha = *** Medication adherence was " high " in 42 % o f participants, "Medium" in 37%, and "Low" in 21%. compared to patients with "high" adherence, those with "Medium" or "Low" adherence were more likely to report difficulty affording their medications(P ception of treatment helpfulness(P = 0.003) and stronger medication concerns relative to medication necessity beliefs(P = 0.003). People with "Low" adherence also experienced greater symptom burden and poorer quality of life, including more frequent abdominal pain(P = 0.023), shortness of breath(P = 0.030), and emotional disturbances(P = 0.050). The Effect of Obesity and Diabetes on Intermediate to high Grade Prostate cancer Patients Treated with Radical Prostatectomy

Aims: The relationships between obesity, diabetes and prostate cancer are unclear. A retrospective study was performed to determine the effects of body mass index (BMI) and diabetes on patients with intermediate to high grade prostate cancer treated with radical prostatectomy. Methods: We reviewed 582 patients with Gleason score ≥ 7 non-metastatic prostate cancer treated with radical prostatectomy. Patients were stratified by BMI. End points were biochemical failure free survival (BFFS), overall survival (OS), and cancer specific survival (cSS). Results: Mean pre-treatment PSA decreased with increasing BMI (12.5, 7.6, 7.8 and 5.3 ng/mL with BMI 35, respectively;p 35, respectively. however, for overall mortality the adjusted hazard ratio was 0.39 (0.18, 0.82;p = 0.01) for overweight patients (BMI 25 - 30) compared to patients with a BMI in the normal range. Patients with a BMI of 30 - 35 and > 35 had increased rates of positive margins than those with a BMI of 25 - 30 or 35 2.04) on multivariate analysis, margin positivity alone was not a significant factor. conclusions: Patients with increasing BMI tend to have a lower PSA at diagnosis but are more likely to have biochemical failure after radical prostatectomy. In our cohort, this was not due to the increased incidence of positive margins. having diabetes had no effect.

This work is focused on the determination of the optimal reaction conditions to synthesize the ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride([EMIM][cl]) and assess its suitability for the pretreatment of rice husk. The modified UNIFAc(UNIversal quasi-chemical Functional-group Activity coefficients)approach for ionic liquids is used to develop a thermodynamic model that describes the reactive system methylimidazole(MIM), chloroethane(c_(2)h_(5)cl) and [EMIM][cl]. The model allows to study the phase equilibria coexistence(vapor–liquid equilibria and solid–liquid equilibria) and yields the theoretically optimal conditions to synthesize the ionic liquid. The model predictions are validated with the available experimental and reported data. By implementing the developed model, a simple way to synthesize ionic liquid [EMIM][cl] was found allowing to study its influence on the structure and morphology of pretreated rice husk. The lignocellulosic materials involved in this study are characterized by their composition, enzymatic digestibility, scanning electron microscopy, and crystallinity. compared to untreated material, [EMIM][cl]-pretreated rice husk produces cellulose that can be efficiently enzymatic hydrolyzed with high sugar yields. This work offers a suitable methodology to include the synthesis and thermodynamics of the solvent media within the design of low-cost ionic liquids for lignocellulosic biomass pretreatment.

Optogenetic inhibition of medial prefrontal cortex projections to the nucleus accumbens core and methyl supplementation via L-Methionine attenuates cocaine-primed reinstatement

DNA methylation has been identified as a powerful and activity-dependent regulator of changes in the brain that may underlie neuroadaptations in response to various types of stimuli,including exposure to drugs of ***,the medial prefrontal cortex(mPFc)projections to the nucleus accumbens(NAc)are critically important for reinstated cocaine-seeking in a rodent model of cocaine *** circuitry undergoes several epigenetic modifications following cocaine exposure,including changes in DNA methylation that are associated with drug-seeking *** have previously shown that methyl supplementation via L-Methionine(MET)administration attenuates cocaine-seeking behavior and reverses expression and methylation patterns of the immediate early gene c-fos,suggesting that MET may act by altering the excitability of this circuitry during cocaine *** the current study,male rats were microinjected with an adeno-associated virus overexpressing halorhodopsin in the mPFc,optical fibers were surgically implanted into the NAc,and the rats were given injections of MET *** underwent acquisition of cocaine self-administration(0.75 mg/kg/infusion,2-h sessions)followed by extinction training in the absence of drug-paired *** reinstatement tests were conducted:cue-induced reinstatement without optogenetic manipulations and cocaine-primed reinstatement with optogenetic inhibition of mPFc-to-NAc *** were no group differences before the cocaine-primed reinstatement session,and all groups showed robust cue-induced *** rats treated with MET and rats that received mPFc-to-NAc inhibition showed an abolishment of cocaine-primed reinstatement,suggesting that systemic methyl supplementation may act through this critical circuity.

目的:建立使用3T3-L1脂肪细胞评价药物影响促酰化蛋白(ASP)分泌的细胞模型和测定ASP分泌的ELISA方法,观察代谢相关药物二甲双胍、罗格列酮钠及立莫那班对ASP分泌的影响及机制,以及与补体c3、非酯化脂肪酸(NE-FA)释放、甘油三酯总量(TG mass)、脂肪酸摄取量的关系。方法:以3T3-L1前脂肪细胞为实验对象,诱导细胞分化,分别加入乳糜微粒、二甲双胍、罗格列酮钠及立莫那班作用48 h。采用ELISA法测定ASP、c3含量,使用酶标比色法测定NEFA含量,脂肪细胞FA摄取速度在荧光酶标仪进行动力学方法测量,采用分光光度法测定TG含量,考马斯亮蓝染料结合法测定细胞总蛋白。结果:乳糜微粒刺激ASP分泌(达411%±133%Pc3分泌(-37%～-65%,Pc3分泌无影响;二甲双胍降低TG含量(达-60%,P<0.05)和FA摄取速度(达-75%,P<0.05)。结论:成功建立了评价药物影响促酰化蛋白(ASP)分泌的3T3-L1前脂肪细胞模型,并建立了测定ASP分泌的ELISA方法。
