Experimental study on microwave pyrolysis of eucalyptus camaldulensis leaves:a promising approach for bio-oil recovery

Eucalyptus species are extensively cultivated trees commonly used for timber production,firewood,paper manufacturing,and essential nutrient extraction,while lacking consumption of the leaves increases soil *** objective of this study was to recover bio-oil through microwave pyrolysis of eucalyptus camaldulensis *** effects of microwave power(450,550,650,750,and 850 W),pyrolysis temperature(500,550,600,650,and 700°C),and silicon carbide amount(10,25,40,55,and 70 g)on the products yields and bio-oil constituents were *** yields of bio-oil,gas,and residue varied within the ranges of 19.8–39.25,33.75–46.7,and 26.0–33.5 wt%,*** optimal bio-oil yield of 39.25 wt%was achieved at 650 W,600°C,and 40 *** oxygenated derivatives,aromatic compounds,aliphatic hydrocarbons,and phenols constituted 40.24–74.25,3.25–23.19,0.3–9.77,and 1.58–7.75 area%of the bio-oils,*** acid(8.17–38.18 area%)was identified as a major bio-oil constituent,and hydrocarbons with carbon numbers C_(1) and C_(2) were found to be *** experimental results demonstrate the potential of microwave pyrolysis as an eco-friendly and efficient way for converting eucalyptus waste into valuable bio-oil,contributing to the sustainable utilization of biomass resources.

Deep convolutional neural networks(DCNNs)have shown outstanding performance in the fields of computer vision,natural language processing,and complex system *** the improvement of performance with deeper layers,DCNNs incur higher computational complexity and larger storage requirement,making it extremely difficult to deploy DCNNs on resource-limited embedded systems(such as mobile devices or Internet of Things devices).Network quantization efficiently reduces storage space required by ***,the performance of DCNNs often drops rapidly as the quantization bit *** this article,we propose a space efficient quantization scheme which uses eight or less bits to represent the original 32-bit *** adopt singular value decomposition(SVD)method to decrease the parameter size of fully-connected layers for further ***,we propose a weight clipping method based on dynamic boundary to improve the performance when using lower *** results demonstrate that our approach can achieve up to approximately 14x compression while preserving almost the same accuracy compared with the full-precision *** proposed weight clipping method can also significantly improve the performance of DCNNs when lower precision is required.

The particle structure of a complex system has been explored through a unique Evans' s homogenous nonequilibrium molecular dynamics(HNEMD) simulation technique. The crystalline order–disorder structures(OD-structures) and the corresponding energies of three-dimensional(3 D) nonideal complex systems(NICSs) have been measured over a wide range of plasma states(■, κ) for a body-centered cubic(BCC) structure. The projected technique provides accurate ODstructures with fast convergence and applicable to very small size effect for different temperatures(≡ 1/■) and constant force field(F~*) values. The OD-structure obtained through HNEMD approach is found to be reasonable agreement and more reliable than those earlier identified by simulation approaches and experimental data of NICSs. New simulations of OD-structures show that dusty plasma remains in crystalline(strongly coupled) state at lower temperature and constant F*values, for the whole simulation runs. Our investigations show that the crystalline structure is changed and the particle structure switches from intermediate to disorder(nonideal gaseous) state with an increase of the system's temperature. It has been shown that the long range order shifts toward lower temperature with increasing κ. The presented technique exhibits that the potential energy has a maximum value when the dusty plasma remains in crystalline states(low temperatures),which confirms earlier 3 D simulation results.

Soil contamination with toxic heavy metals[such as cadmium(Cd)]is becoming a serious global problem due to rapid development of social ***(Fe),being an important element,has been found effective in enhancing plant tolerance against biotic and abiotic *** present study investigated the extent to which different levels of Ferrous sulphate(FeSO_(4))modulated the Cd tolerance of rice(Oryza sativa L.),when maintained in artificially Cd spiked regimes.A pot experiment was conducted under controlled conditions for 146 days,by using natural soil,mixed with different levels of CdCl_(2)[0(no Cd),0.5 and 1 mg/kg]together with the exogenous application of FeSO_(4) at[0(no Fe),1.5 and 3 mg/kg]levels to monitor different growth,gaseous exchange characteristics,oxidative stress,antioxidative responses,minerals accumulation,organic acid exudation patterns of *** results depicted that addition of Cd to the soil significantly(P<0.05)decreased plant growth and biomass,gaseous exchange parameters,mineral uptake by the plants,sugars(soluble,reducing,and non-reducing sugar)and altered the ultrastructure of chloroplasts,plastoglobuli,mitochondria,and many other cellular organelles in Cd-stressed *** compared to those plants which were grown without the addition of Cd in the ***,Cd toxicity boosted the production of reactive oxygen species(ROS)by increasing the contents of malondialdehyde(MDA),which is the indication of oxidative stress in *** and was also manifested by hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))contents and electrolyte leakage to the membrane bounded ***,activities of various antioxidative enzymes like superoxidase dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD),catalase(CAT)and ascorbate peroxidase(APX)and non-enzymatic antioxidants like phenolics,flavonoid,ascorbic acid,anthocyanin and proline contents increased up to a Cd level of 0.5 mg/kg in the soil but were significantly diminished at the highest Cd level of 1 mg/kg in the soil compar

Tumor cells induce an immunosuppressive microen-vironment which leads towards tumor immune escape. Understanding the intricacy of immunomodulation by tumor cells is essential for immunotherapy. Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase(IDO) is an immunosuppressive enzyme which mediates tumor immune escape in various cancers including hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). IDO up-regulation in HCC may lead to recruitment of regulatory T-cells into tumor microenvironment and therefore inhibit local immune responses and promote metastasis. HCC associated fibroblasts stimulate natural killer cells dysfunction through prostaglandin E2 and subsequently IDO promotes favorable condition for tumor metastasis. IDO up-regulation induces immuno-suppression and may enhance the risk of hepatitis C virus and hepatitis B virus induced HCC. Therefore, IDO inhibitors as adjuvant therapeutic agents may have clinical implications in HCC. This review proposes future prospects of IDO not only as a therapeutic target but also as a prognostic marker for HCC.

When considering the mechanism of the batteries,the capacity reduction at storage(when not in use)and cycling(during use)and increase of internal resistance is because of degradation in the chemical composition inside the *** optimize battery usage,a battery management system(BMS)is used to estimate possible aging effects while different load profiles are requested from the *** is specifically seen in a case when the vehicle is connected to the net(online through BMS).During this process,the BMS chooses the optimized load profiles based on the least aging effects on the battery *** major focus of this paper is to design an algorithm/model for lithium iron phosphate(LiFePO4)*** model of the batteries is based on the accelerated aging test data(data from the beginning of life till the end of life).The objective is to develop an algorithm based on the actual battery trend during the whole life of the *** the analysis of the test data,the complete trend of the battery aging and the factors on which the aging is depending on is identified,the aging model can then be recalibrated to avoid any differences in the production process during cell *** validation of the model was carried out at the end by utilizing different driving profiles at different C-rates and different ambient temperatures.A Linear and non-linear model-based approach is used based on statistical *** parameterization was carried out by dividing the data into small chunks and estimating the parameters for the individual ***-adaptive characteristic map using a lookup table was also *** nonlinear model was chosen as the best candidate among all other approaches for longer validation of 8-month data with real driving data set.

PPLS: a privacy-preserving location-sharing scheme in mobile online social networks

The recent proliferation of mobile devices has given rise to mobile online social networks(m OSNs), an emerging network paradigm that uses social networks as its main design element. As one of the most critical components in m OSNs, location sharing plays an important role in helping users share information and strengthen their social bonds, which however may compromise users’ privacy, including location information and social relationship details. To address these challenges, some solutions have been proposed. However, none of them considers the privacy of inter-user threshold distance, which effectively can be used to identify users, their friends, and location information, by malicious or undesired elements of the system. To overcome this limitation, we propose a secure distance comparison protocol. Furthermore,we present a privacy-preserving location-sharing scheme(PPLS), which allows users to build more complex access control policies. The safety of our scheme is validated by the security analysis and the experimental results demonstrate the efficiency of PPLS scheme.
