Applying multi-criteria analysis to select the most appropriate broiler rearing environment

The present study aimed to assess the most appropriate rearing system for broiler housing in tropical regions using the Analytical Hierarchy Process(AHP).The research was done using data sampling from a field study carried out in eight mechanically-ventilated commercial broiler *** had positive ventilation(open-sided conventional system),and the other four had negative pressure systems,which were named according to the curtains color and light management(blue-house with blue curtains,and dark-house with black side curtains).The data from the field research(rearing dry-bulb temperature and relative humidity;ammonia and carbon dioxide concentrations;energy use;litter type and quality;and broiler performance)were organized,and the multi-criteria analysis AHP was *** the process,the decision-maker must define the problem and chose the criteria to evaluate the alternatives to make a suitable *** alternative selected needs to be according to the stakeholders’*** alternatives consisted of houses using three ventilation systems(conventional,blue-house,and dark-house).The different chosen criteria were the thermal and aerial environment,broiler productivity,energy consumption,and litter *** selected data collected from the field experiment and from current literature to subsidize the selection of the *** computation was done using field data results,knowledge from existing literature,and the expertise of three *** the first time,the AHP technique is applied to select the most suitable broiler housing,considering the complex variables involved in the *** indicated the conventional system as the most appropriate *** of the conventional system showed the highest scores on most criteria in the pairwise *** considered broiler performance,gasses concentration,and electricity cost,providing natural ventilation open-sided conventional house as the most appropriate rearing system

introduction:Communities situated in protected areas generate conflicts among park administrators,residents and *** they stay or should they go?This article presents a positive example of a community existing in a state *** study describes the community’s governance process as well as how the park administration and the community solve the conflicts that arise and achieve a method of co-management in a multi-level governance ***:The analysis is based on the Management and Transition Framework(MTF).We used a case study approach and collected data via document study,participatory observation and qualitative ***:We find that the agreed system of community-based co-management has improved the implementation and enforcement of the state park’s rules through negotiation and communication mechanisms in the park *** relative success is due to the construction of social capital,equality and ***:For state parks in similar situations,the findings suggest that:1)a community should have at least a minimal level of self-organization;2)the empowerment of the community in the decision-making process is useful;3)the park administration should gain the trust of the residents;and 4)the effective management of ecosystem services can create a win-win situation for the community as well as the park.

The main purpose of this study was to determine the validation of construct and reliability of the image instrument in educational institutions. A non-random sample selection of 314 high school students from Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon was made. An instrument with 25 statements was created to measure the image of The University of Montemorelos （reliability a = 0.956）. The methodologies that were utilized in the validation were factorial analysis and confirmatory analysis, with the latter made with structural equations. in the factorial analysis, it was observed that the statements were grouped into four dimensions, as it was initially planned. With the exception of one item, all the other statements were grouped in the proposed dimension. in the confirmatory validation utilizing structural equations, all the selected criteria were fulfilled.

New patterns of the tree beta diversity and its determinants in the largest savanna and wetland biomes of South America

This paper aims to present the historical constitution of the Deaf Movement （Movimento Surdo） and theirrespective events and claims in the national socio-political scene. Among the numerous social movements operatingin the country and the world we identified the Deaf Movement while present in the social struggles and the poorvisibility conferred on it in the context of listener culture, considering their undeniable importance in the currentform of society. Search up from the use of surveys and interviews to understand this movement as the set of actionsdeveloped by the deaf community around the historical issues, identity, cultural, social and political. Among themany claims of this movement highlights the proposed bilingual education for deaf people seeking socialknowledge of deafness would mean not only the best form of education for the deaf, but also for themaintenance/affirmation of deaf culture.

There are many natural sources to obtain pharmaceutical grade starch, one of which is banana (i>i>Musai> × i>paradisiaca Li>.i>);nevertheless, the use of native starch has certain disadvantages compared to modified starches, whose disintegrating properties are better. in this study, starch extracted from rejected fruits of i>i>Musai> × i>paradisiaca Li>.i>, was modified by acetylation, under the following optimized experimental conditions: 130 mL acetic anhydride, 3 mL sodium hydroxide 50% p/v for each 15 grams of native starch, at 123℃ during 3 hours. The reaction resulted in a modified green banana starch with twice as much swelling capacity compared to unmodified (native) starch;acetylation was verified by infrared spectroscopy and degree of substitution of acetyl groups by back titration. The dissolution profiles of ibuprofen tablets made with banana modified starch and commercial disintegrant, have no differences according with their similarity factor, fi>2. It is concluded that it is feasible to use green banana starch modified through acetylation as a pharmaceutical disintegrant.

Androgen deficiency is strongly associated with erectile dysfunction （ED）. inadequate penile arterial blood flow is one of the major causes of ED. The blood flow to the corpus cavernosum is mainly derived from the internal pudendal arteries （iPAs）; however, no study has evaluated the effects of androgen deprivation on iPA＇s function. We hypothesized that castration impairs iPAs reactivity and structure, contributing to ED. in our study, Wistar male rats, 8-week-old, were castrated and studied 30 days after orchiectomy. Functional and structural properties of rat iPAs were determined using wire and pressure myograph systems, respectively. Protein expression was determined by Western blot and immunohistochemistry. Plasma testosterone levels were determined using the iMMULiTE 1000 immunoassay System. Castrated rats exhibited impaired erectile function, represented by decreased intracavernosal pressure/mean arterial pressure ratio. iPAs from castrated rats exhibited decreased phenylephrine- and electrical field stimulation （EFS）-induced contraction and decreased acetylcholine- and EFS-induced vasodilatation. iPAs from castrated rats exhibited decreased internal diameter, external diameter, thickness of the arterial wall, and cross-sectional area. Castration decreased nNOS and α-actin expression and increased collagen expression, p38 （Thr180/ryr182） phosphorylation, as well as caspase 3 cleavage. in conclusion, androgen deficiency is associated with impairment of iPA reactivity and structure and increased apoptosis signaling markers. Our findings suggest that androgen deficiency-induced vascular dysfunction is an event involving hypotrophic vascular remodeling of iPAs.
