AIM To investigate w.ether immune mediated diseases(IMD) are more frequent in patients w.th inflammatory bow.l disease(IBD).METHODS In this population based registry study,a total of 47325 patients w.th IBD w.re alive and registered in the Danish National Patient Registry on December 16,2013. Controls w.re randomly selected from the Danish Civil Registration System(CRS) and matched for sex,age,and municipality. w. used ICD 10 codes to identify the diagnoses of the included patients. The IBD population w.s divided into three subgroups: Ulcerative colitis(UC),Crohn's disease(CD) and Both the latter referring to those registered w.th both diagnoses. Subsequently,odds-ratios(OR) and 95%CI w.re obtained separately for each group and their respective controls. The use of Bonferoni post-test correction adjusted the significance level to P w.re estimated using Fisher's exact *** There w.re significantly more w.men than men in the registry,and a greater percentage of comorbidity in the IBD groups(P w.nty different IMDs w.re all significantly more frequent in the IBD group. Sixteen w.re associated w.th UC versus tw.lve w.th CD. In both UC and CD ORs w.re significantly increased(P w.re autoimmune hepatitis,primary biliary cholangitis,Grave's disease,polymyalgia rheumatica,temporal arteritis,and atrophic gastritis. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the w.y healthcare services are delivered. These changes w.ll likely persist as countries recover from the economic crises follow.ng lockdow.s. In developing countries, services for substance use disorders (SUDs) are inadequate and as countries prioritize infectious diseases, individuals w.th SUDs may suffer further neglect. This paper is a narrative review.of peer-review.d and grey literature on the current challenges w.th SUD treatment in Nigeria assesses how.telehealth may positively affect access to evidence-based treatments and suggests strategies for implementation considering the unique challenges and opportunities in the country. If prioritized in her policy, telehealth has the potential to improve treatment outcomes for SUDs in Nigeria.

The general characteristics of Diode Laser Absorption Spectrometry (DLAAS) in low.pressure plasmas particulary w.th respect to the detection of non metals are comprehensively recapitulated and discussed. Furthermore, a detector, w.ich is based on DLAAS in a microw.ve induced low.pressure plasma as an alternative technique for halogene specific analysis of volatile compounds and polymeric matrices is described. The analytical capability of the technique is demonstrated on the chlorine specific analysis of ablated polymer fragments as w.ll as gas chromatographically separated hydrocarbons. Since the measurements w.re carried out by means of a balanced heterodyne detection scheme, different technical noise contributions, such as laser excess and RAM noise could efficiently be suppressed and the registered absorption w.s limited only by the principal shot noise. Thus, in the case of the polymer analysis a chlorine specific absolute detection limit of 10 pg could be achieved. Furthermore, fundamental investigations concerning the influence of hydrocarbons on the dissociation capability of the microw.ve induced plasma w.re performed. For this purpose, the carbon , chlorine and hydrogen specific stoichiometry of the compounds w.re empirically determined. Deviations from the exspected proportions w.re found to be insignificant, implying the possibility of internal standardization relative to the response of a reference sample.

Characterization of energy and performance of sw.ne fed a novel corn-soybean extruded product

Background： A novel extruded product w.s characterized w.th a metabolism and lactation trial to establish the product＇s energy content, and its effects on lactating sow.performance. The product w.s composed of a 60：40 corn-soybean blend, w.ich w.s then extruded. This product containing the co-extruded 60：40 corn-soybean blend w.s commercially developed and is used extensively in sw.ne diets in southw.st Minnesota. GE of dietary treatments w.re determined by isoperibol bomb calorimetry. Tw.lve barrow. （59.9 ± 1.4 kg）, w.re used to determine the digestible and metabolizable energy of the extruded product. DE of treatments w.s determined by subtracting fecal energy from GE provided to barrow. by each respective treatment. ME w.s determined by subtracting urinary energy from calculated digestible energy. Sixty-three sow. w.re used for the lactation trial. Three dietary treatments w.re utilized： CONTROL （an industry standard diet）; PRODUCT （contained the product, vitamins and minerals）; OIL （matched the lysine：ME ratio of PRODUCT by addition of soy oil）. Sow.w.ight, backfat thickness at the right and left last ribs, body condition score, number of piglets, and litter w.ights w.re recorded on the date of farrow.ng （d 0）, （d 9）, and at w.aning. Blood and milk samples w.re obtained at w.aning, and blood w.s analyzed for plasma urea nitrogen （PUN）, milk w.s analyzed for total protein and fat content. Results： On a dry-matter basis, the test diet provided 3,908 kcal/kg DE and 3,833 kcal/kg ME, w.ich w.s significantly greater than the basal diet, w.ich provided 3,633 kcal/kg DE and 3,567 kcal/kg ME （P 〈 0.0001）. These data w.re used to establish the DE and ME of the product, w.ich w.re 3,882 kcal/kg and 3,798 kcal/kg, respectively, on an as-fed basis. No effect of diet w.s observed for changes in sow.backfat （RBF P = 0.24; LBF P = 0.07） or body condition score （P = 0.12） during lactation. The grow.h in the capacity of electric pow.r system creates a demand for the protection of relaying systems. Optical current transducers—OCT that are mainly made up of single mode optical fibers w.ich are subjected to Faraday rotation are used as a replacement for electromagnetic transducers due to their immunity to electromagnetic interference. How.ver, the principal parameter in this system, the sensitivity to magnetic fields or current, depends on the Verdet constant, w.ich is low.in the case of optical fibers. How.ver, the optical path length can be increased to compensate for it by w.nding the fiber around a current carrying element a large number of turns. In this w.rk, w. study a current sensor, w.ich is made up of a conductor coil w.th a fiber inside, thus increasing sensitivity. w. study the effect of the inhomogeneity of the magnetic field induced by the current on the sensitivity of the optical fiber sensor.

This paper presents an extensive survey of the most commonly used tools for diagnosing unbalanced flow.in the atmosphere, namely the Lagrangian Rossby number, Psi vector, divergence equation, nonlinear balance equation, generalized omega-equation, and departure from fields obtained by potential vorticity (PV) inversion. The basic thoery, assumptions as w.ll as implementation and limitations for each of the tools are all discussed. These tools are applied to high—resolution mesoscale model data to assess the role of unbalanced dynamics in the generation of a mesoscale gravity w.ve event over the East Coast of the United States. Comparison of these tools in this case study show. that these various methods agree to a large extent w.th each other though they differ in details.
