Background:Congenital heart disease(CHD)is a chronic medical condition often diagnosed at birth and requires surgical intervention,multiple hospitalizations,and lifelong *** can put signiﬁcant stress on the family,leading to altered maternal mental health,bonding and attachment issues,and the potential for child *** purpose of this study is to explore the characteristics of a sample of young children with CHD who experienced hospitalization with concurrent concern for child abuse in a free-standing pediatric tertiary care ***:Electronic medical records were reviewed for children aged 0–5 years old who were hospitalized with concern for child abuse between 2016 and *** were extracted related to the history of presenta-tion,and sociodemographics including SDOH,admission,and discharge condition/*** statis-tics were used to characterize the sample and correlations to identify an association with abuse ***:Out of 251 hospitalizations involving concern for child abuse,49(19.5%)had a diagnosis of *** majority of cases were neglect(51%),<1 year of age(80%),male(57%),Hispanic ethnicity(45%),and publicly insured(90%).CHD severity was moderate to severe(71%)with multiple co-occurring medical conditions(genetic syn-drome,failure to thrive(FTT),prematurity,history of a feeding tube,developmental delay,and intrauterine drug exposure).Correlations associated with physical abuse were age,maternal mental health,head injury,and history of Child Protective Services(CPS)*** correlated with age,FTT,head injury,history of a feeding tube,previous CPS involvement,and substance *** speciﬁcally related to prenatal substance use included age,maternal mental health status,history of domestic violence,CPS involvement,feeding tube,FTT,lack of housing,employment status,and public ***:Our study highlights the risk for abuse in children with CHD,regardless of defect *** most com

Background:Participation in sports is associated with many benefits to all aspects of health;however,it also comes with the risk of injury,particularly ***-disclosure and care seeking following a concussion are especially important because of the lack of outwardly visible signs and/or *** recent research has explored factors affecting concussion disclosure,use of isolated methodologies limits the ability to contextualize how disclosure or nondisclosure ***,the purpose of this study was to describe the factors and expectations of National Collegiate Athletic Association(NCAA)athletes that may influence concussion ***:This mixed-methods convergent parallel research study included 25 NCAA Division I athletes representing 13 sports,all of whom completed a concussion-education session with pre-/post-test surveys and a semistructured *** athletes were at least 18 years old and on an NCAA *** surveys focused on previous concussion-related disclosure behaviors,knowledge,attitudes,beliefs,norms,and intentions about disclosing *** focused on the athletes’experiences related to concussion *** data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Mann-Whitney U *** were analyzed using a Consensual Qualitative Research ***:Participants had good concussion knowledge(median=46.0),positive attitudes(median=38.0),strong beliefs(median=13.0),and strong intentions to disclose concussion symptoms(median=7.0).None of the constructs differed by participants’*** quantitative findings were mostly positive,interview data highlighted factors that may explain why some participants are successful in disclosing concussions and why others may find disclosure *** efforts,sport culture,and medical professional presence were the primary facilitators discussed by ***,pressure,and a lack of team support were perceived as di

Patterns of floristic inventory and plant collections in Myanmar

Myanmar is one of the most biodiverse countries in the Asia-Pacific region due to a wide range of climatic and environmental *** diversity in Myanmar is largely unknown,resulting in a lack of comprehensive conservation *** developed a database of higher plants in Myanmar derived from herbarium specimens and literature sources,and analyzed patterns of diversity inventories and collection inconsistencies,aiming to provide a baseline floristic data of Myanmar and act as a guide for future research *** collected 1,329,354 records of 16,218 *** show that the collection densities at the township level was variable,with 5% of townships having no floristic *** ecoregion had an average collection density of greater than 1 specimen/km2and the lowest collection density was found in the kayah-karen Montane Rainforests,which covered 8% of Myanmar’s total *** highest sampling densities were found in Mandalay Region,Chin State,and Yangon *** floristic collections over the past three centuries,knowledge of the distribution of the vast majority of plant taxa remained limited,particularly for gymnosperms,pteridophytes,and *** botanical surveys and further analyses are needed to better describe Myanmar’s floristic *** important strategy to promote knowledge of the biodiversity patterns in Myanmar is to improve the collection and digitalization of specimens and to strengthen cooperation among countries.

INTRODUCTION Evolution of behavioral responses is often dependent on the existence of modified structures that enable the development of the behavioral suite(kay 1978;Lundrigan 1996;Alfaro et al.2004;Goyens et al.2015;Higham et al.2015;Sharp et al.2018;Schendel et al.2019).Occasionally,structural modifications are so important that a direct link between morphology and behavior can be inferred(Fleagle 1977;Rodman 1979;Losos 1990a;Higham et al.2015).

目的 :在早期类风湿关节炎(rheumatoid arthritis,RA)的诊断中,1987年美国风湿病学会(AmericanCollege of Rheumatology,ACR;旧称AmericanRheumatism Association,ARA)的诊断标准因为缺乏敏感度而受到质疑。本研究的目的是建立新的RA分类标准。方法 :由ACR和欧洲抗风湿病联盟(EuropeanLeague Against Rheumatism,EULAR)共同组成的工作小组,分三个阶段建立RA新的分类标准。研究的目标人群是初发的未分化关节炎患者,主要研究目的是寻找能够预测这些病人发展为RA的危险因素,并将RA疾病特点定义为持续性和/或侵蚀性关节炎。结果 :在新的分类标准中,确诊RA至少需要一个关节有明确的滑膜炎表现,除外其他可能导致滑膜炎症的疾病,同时以下四项评分的总分≥6分(最高10分):受累关节的数量和部位(0-5分)、血清学自身抗体异常(0-3分)、急性期反应物升高(0-1分)和症状持续时间(共分两级;0-1分)。结论 :既往诊断RA比较依赖骨破坏这一RA晚期表现,而新的分类标准着重于疾病早期表现而不是晚期特点,将疾病特点重新定义为持续性和/或侵蚀性滑膜炎。这一新标准的推出将再次强调了RA早期诊断的必要性以及早期有效治疗对于预防或减少不良后遗症的发生具有重要意义。
