Erectile dysfunction(ED)is increasing in prevalence,with estimates that 50%of men between 40 and 70 years of age suffer from the *** to a wide array of available medical interventions,significant focus has been put on combination therapies that can treat ED refractory to first-line treatments such as phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors(PDE5is).However,reviews evaluating monotherapy noninferiority and patient satisfaction of monotherapy versus combination therapy are lacking.A thorough PubMed search was performed to evaluate combination therapy in ED *** published between January 2008 and June 2023 were reviewed,including randomized control trials,retrospective analyses,and cohort *** therapies included PDE5i plus another PDE5i,testosterone supplementation,α-blockers,vacuum erectile devices,intracavernosal injections,and low-intensity shockwave *** on this review,PDE5i monotherapy is not inferior to combination therapy and has increased satisfaction,convenience,and ease of use for patients with *** of current literature on combination therapy include small sample size,limited data on patient satisfaction,possible biases,and limited follow-up *** studies will need larger randomized control trials with follow-up times greater than 1 year.

Utero-cutaneous fistula following cesarean section is a rare occurrence. We present the case of a 34-year-old woman who presented to our department four years after her second cesarean section with a history of pain and blood discharge from a previous Pfannenstiel incision, during menstruation, with an absence of vaginal menstrual flow. Despite a prior surgical repair operation, her symptoms persisted. A pelvic MRI was done to confirm the diagnosis of utero-cutaneous fistula, and surgical management was pursued. This case report aims to contribute to the existing literature on utero-cutaneous fistula and provide insights into the diagnostic considerations and management strategies for this rare complication.

This report describes in vitro micropropagation of Boscia senegalensis,so-called famine foods,that helped the people in Darfur and Kordofan,Sudan survive during the 1984-1985 *** types of explants prepared from green mature zygotic embryos were cultured on Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium augmented with 1-5 mg/L 6-benzyladenine (BA).The highest number of shoots per explant (14.3±0.9) was achieved on MS medium supplemented with 3 mg/L BA,while the highest shoot length [(3.5±0.4) cm] was obtained with 1 mg/L *** shoot cluster,when subcultured to its same medium,significantly increased the rate of shoot multiplication by the end of the third *** maximum mean number of shoots per explant (86.5±3.6) was produced after three multiplication cycles on 3 mg/L BA-supplemented *** vitro induced shoots were excised and rooted on half strength MS medium fortified with 0.25 mg/L indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) to obtain complete ***-regenerated plantlets obtained in vitro for the first time,were hardened and 95% survived under greenhouse conditions.

Malaria is generally considered a major public health problem in Somalia. Providing early diagnosis and effective treatment is the key element of malaria control strategies in malaria-endemic countries, including Somalia. This required to advocate and ensure health worker’s adherence to the national malaria guidelines at all levels of health care service. A well-designed in-service training program may improve the level of health worker’s adherence to national malaria treatment guidelines, although results have been inconsistent. This is an interventional health facility-based pre and post comparative study aimed to assess the effect of an in-service training program on the practice of healthcare workers toward malaria prevention and treatment guidelines, during in pregnancy in health facilities in Jowhar district, Middle Shabelle region of Somalia. The study was implemented in three phases: pre-intervention phase, intervention phase and post-intervention phase. The sample size consisted of (n = 150) health workers who were selected from ten public health facilities using proportional to size sampling;the data collection adopted in this research is composed of a structured interview questionnaire and observational checklist. Data was analyzed through the application of descriptive statistical analysis that includes frequency and percentage and the Chi-square (x2) test was used to test the associations among variables using SPSS software version 25. The study showed that the level of health workers’ awareness of the national malaria guidelines in the treatment and prevention of malaria in pregnancy was found to be good before the intervention 89 (59.3%) and this proportion increased to 150 (100%) post-intervention of the training program. Introduction: Early diagnosis and effective treatment remain critical elements of a malaria control strategy in preventing mortality and reducing the incidence of severe malaria illness in Somalia. In Sub-Saharan African countries showed different levels of adherence to their national malaria guidelines for malaria treatment and prevention in pregnancy, while experiences from many countries indicated several challenges and constraints that may make the implementation of the guidelines difficult. Objective: The study aimed to assess factors affecting adherence to revised national malaria treatment guidelines in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of malaria in pregnancy among health care workers in public health facilities in Jowhar District, Somalia. Methodology: A cross-sectional health facility-based study conducted in Jowhar district. A structured interview questionnaire was used for data collection from (n = 150). Healthcare workers selected from ten public health facilities using proportional to size sampling and an observational checklist was used to assess patient’s medical prescriptions to review their conformity to the guidelines and the availability of antimalarial drug, malaria diagnostic tests (mRDTs and microscopy) and job aids, such as the national malaria treatment guidelines, clinical algorithm (flow chart), malaria rapid diagnosis tests mRDTs’ use of wall charts, and drug dose wall charts at the facilities. Data was analyzed through the application of descriptive statistical analysis that includes frequency, and percentages by using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) Version 25. Results: Healthcare workers interviewed were 89 (59.3%) aware of the existence of the revised national malaria treatment guidelines. However, 61 (40.7%) were not aware of the guidelines and only 46 (30.7%) had been trained for the national malaria guidelines in the treatment and prevention of malaria in pregnancy. Background: The difficulty with histopathology diagnosis is the presence of numerous benign reactive breast lesions with morphological features mimic malignant lesions. Thus, the objective of this study was to assess the merit of morphological patterns of elastic and reticular fibers in differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast lesions. Methodology: Fifty biopsies were obtained from females with breast Lesions (25 breast carcinoma and 25 benign lesions), their ages ranging from 17 to 85 years with mean age of 39 years old. Morphologic demonstrations of elastic and reticular fibers were performed using conventional histochemical procedures. Results: Intense grades of elastic fiber staining were achieved with carcinoma tissues. Dwindled grades of elastic fiber staining were detected with fibrocystic changes. Elastic fibers in breast carcinoma are significantly increased compared to benign breast lesions P Conclusion: Histochemical quantifications of elastic and reticular fibers can assist in routine diagnosis of breast lesions. Elastic fibers significantly increase in breast carcinoma compared to benign breast lesions.
