The problems of stability and state feedback control for a class of discrete-time T-S fuzzy descriptor systems are investigated in this paper. Based on fuzzy Lyapunov function,a set of slack variables is introduced to remove the basic semi-definite matrix inequality condition to check the regularity,causality and stability of discrete-time T-S fuzzy descriptor systems; a new sufficient condition for the discrete-time T-S fuzzy descriptor systems to be admissible is proposed in terms of strict linear matrix inequalities( LMIs). And a sufficient condition is proposed for the existence of state feedback controller in terms of a set of coupled strict ***,an illustrative example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

In this paper,we establish a novel unique continuation property for two-dimensional anisotropic elasticity systems with partial *** precisely,given a homogeneous elasticity system in a connected open bounded domain,we investigate the unique continuation by assuming only the vanishing of one component of the solution in a *** the corresponding Riemann function,we prove that the solution vanishes in the whole domain provided that the other component vanishes at one point up to its second ***,we construct several examples showing the possibility of further reducing the additional information of the other *** result possesses remarkable significance in both theoretical and practical aspects because the required data are almost halved for the unique determination of the whole solution.

Bedding slope is a typical heterogeneous slope consisting of different soil/rock layers and is likely to slide along the weakest *** slope protection methods for bedding slopes,such as retaining walls,stabilizing piles,and anchors,are time-consuming and labor-and *** study proposes an innovative polymer grout method to improve the bearing capacity and reduce the displacement of bedding slopes.A series of large-scale model tests were carried out to verify the effectiveness of polymer grout in protecting bedding ***,load-displacement relationships and failure patterns were analyzed for different testing slopes with various dosages of *** show the great potential of polymer grout in improving bearing capacity,reducing settlement,and protecting slopes from being crushed under *** polymer-treated slopes remained structurally intact,while the untreated slope exhibited considerable damage when subjected to loads surpassing the bearing *** is also found that polymer-cemented soils concentrate around the injection pipe,forming a fan-shaped sheet-like *** study proves the improvement of polymer grouting for bedding slope treatment and will contribute to the development of a fast method to protect bedding slopes from landslides.

The Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) was the coldest period during the previous 20,000 *** have been different points of views on steppe distribution during the LGM period in southern China,partly due to the different interpretations of Artemisia *** make a reliable interpretation of the pollen fossil Artemisia,the modern distribution of Artemisia species and the relationship of pollen with climate and vegetation over a large spatial scale in China was thoroughly *** about Artemisia species and pollen distributions used in this paper were collected from published works completed by other researchers as well as *** southern limit of steppe vegetation during the LGM period was interpreted from the published contour map of Artemisia pollen percentages during the *** species in China are mostly distributed either in the horizontally distributed steppe regions or in the vertically distributed desert-steppe in the desert region,which indicates a cold and dry *** steppe is a distribution center of Artemisia *** of Artemisia in surface pollen assemblages are lower in both the desert and the temperate *** high Artemisia species cover nor high percentages of Artemisia pollen were found in the coast areas of ***-five percent of Artemisia pollen in sediments might indicate a local occurrence of steppe *** of Artemisia pollen in the subtropical and tropical forest are less than 10%.A close relationship between Artemisia pollen and temperate steppe in China is *** southern edge of the steppe vegetation during the LGM might be along the middle reach of the Yangtze *** results support the hypothesis that the isolated high fraction of Artemisia pollen along the northern edge of the South China Sea was transported from a large source area.

Interspecific hybridization between Bursaphelenchus xylophilus and Bursaphelenchus mucronatus

Bursaphelenchus xylophilus is the pathogen that causes pine wilt disease, which has greatly damaged forests and ecosystems in countries of East Asia and *** mucronatus is closely related to B. xylophilus in morphology and host plant specificity. A longrunning debate has existed regarding whether these two species can successfully produce hybrid offspring. In the present study, we performed in the laboratory, hybridization of two B. xylophilus nematode isolates from China and Japan and three B. mucronatus isolates from China, Japan and France. Nematode isolates of B. xylophilus were successfully crossed with B. mucronatus isolates, and the rate of hybridization was relatively high; however, some hybrid offspring died. Successful hybridization occurred between B. xylophilus and B. mucronatus isolates from China, and 22 generations of hybrids were produced. All F1 hybrids could be backcrossed with their parents and produce offspring. Variation in mucro length among the hybrid offspring and their parents was observed. The hybrid offspring and their parents were inoculated into 3-months-old black pine(Pinus tunbergii) seedlings. Weaker pathogenicity of hybrid offspring was observed compared with that of their parents, and significantly fewer offspring nematodes than parents were reisolated from pines. Therefore, the offspring of B. xylophilus and B. mucronatus may exist in the forest and could influence disease epidemics.

Discovery,Identification and Comparative Analysis of Non-Specific Lipid Transfer Protein (nsLtp) Family in Solanaceae

Plant non-specific lipid transfer proteins （nsLtps） have been reported to be involved in plant defense activity against bacterial and fungal pathogens. In this study, we identified 135 （122 putative and 13 previously identified） Solanaceae nsLtps, which are clustered into 8 different groups. By comparing with Boutrot’s nsLtp classification, we classified these eight groups into five types （I, II, IV, IX and X）. We compared Solanaceae nsLtps with Arabidopsis and Gramineae nsLtps and found that （1） Types I, II and IV are shared by Solanaceae, Gramineae and Arabidopsis; （2） Types III, V, VI and VIII are shared by Gramineae and Arabidopsis but not detected in Solanaceae so far; （3） Type VII is only found in Gramineae whereas type IX is present only in Arabidopsis and Solanaceae; （4） Type X is a new type that accounts for 52.59% Solanaceae nsLtps in our data, and has not been reported in any other plant so far. We further built and compared the three-dimensional structures of the eight groups, and found that the major functional diversification within the nsLtp family could be predated to the monocot/dicot divergence, and many gene duplications and sequence variations had happened in the nsLtp family after the monocot/dicot divergence, especially in Solanaceae.

Two model reference adaptive system （MRAS） estimators are developed for identifying the parameters of permanent magnet synchronous motors （PMSM） based on the Lyapunov stability theorem and the Popov stability criterion, respectively. The proposed estimators only need online measurement of currents, voltages, and rotor speed to effectively estimate stator resistance, inductance, and rotor flux-linkage simultaneously. The performance of the estimators is compared and verified through simulations and experiments, which show that the two estimators are simple, have good robustness against parameter variation, and are accurate in parameter tracking. However, the estimator based on the Popov stability criterion, which can overcome parameter variation in a practical system, is superior in terms of response speed and convergence speed since there are both proportional and integral units in the estimator, in contrast to only one integral unit in the estimator based on the Lyapunov stability theorem. In addition, the estimator based on the Popov stability criterion does not need the expertise that is required in designing a Lyapunov function.

Interface bond degradation and damage characteristics of full-length grouted rock bolt in tunnels with high temperature

Full-length grouted bolts play a crucial role in geotechnical engineering thanks to their excellent ***,few studies have been concerned with the degrading performance of grouted rock bolts caused by extensive and continuous heat conduction from surrounding rocks in high-geothermal tunnels buried more than 100 m(temperature from 28C to 100C).To investigate the damage mechanism,we examined the time-varying behaviors of grouted rock bolts in both constant and variable temperature curing environments and their damage due to the coupling effects of high temperature and humidity through mechanical and micro-feature tests,including uniaxial compression test,pull-out test,computed tomography(CT)scans,X-ray diffraction(XRD)test,thermogravimetric analysis(TGA),etc.,and further analyzed the relationship between grout properties and anchorage *** order to facilitate a rapid assessment and control of the anchorage performance of anchors in different conditions,results of the interface bond degradation tests were correlated to environment parameters based on the damage model of interfacial bond stress ***,a thermal hazard classification criterion for anchorage design in high-geothermal tunnels was *** on the reported results,although high temperature accelerated the early-stage hydration reaction of grouting materials,it affected the distribution and quantity of hydration products by inhibiting hydration degree,thus causing mechanical damage to the anchorage *** was a significant positive correlation between the strength of the grouting material and the anchoring *** by the changes in grout properties,three failure patterns of rock bolts typically *** a hot-wet curing regime results in less reduction in anchorage force compared to the hot-dry curing *** findings of this study would contribute to the design and investigations of grouted rock bolts in high-geothermal tunnels.

Influences of Electrolytes on Soap-Free P(ST-MMA-AA) Emulsion Polymerization

Functional polymer microspheres are kinds of polymer particles with special structures, morphologies or functional groups[1] , and have been gained much attention because of their specific properties and their application since 1980s. Although some researches have investigated that the latex particle size and its distribution,as well as the stability of polymerization and the resultant latex were strongly influenced by introducing electrolyte into the emulsion polymerization system[2] , few of them focused on the systematic study of electrolytes on the soap-free emulsion polymerization, which is considered as a conventional approach to synthesize functional polymer microspheres with clean surfaces[2]. In this presentation, the influences of variety and dosage of electrolytes on soap-free emulsion polymerization of St, MMA and AA were studied, and a series of micron or submicron sized latex particles with narrow distribution were obtained.
