Efficient optical network management poses significant importance in backhaul and access network communicationfor preventing service disruptions and ensuring Quality of Service(QoS)*** emerging faultsin optical networks introduce challenges that can jeopardize the network with a variety of *** existingliterature witnessed various partial or inadequate *** the other hand,Machine Learning(ML)hasrevolutionized as a promising technique for fault detection and *** traditional fault managementsystems,this research has three-fold ***,this research leverages the ML and Deep Learning(DL)multi-classification system and evaluates their accuracy in detecting six distinct fault types,including fiber cut,fibereavesdropping,splicing,bad connector,bending,and PC ***,this paper assesses the classificationdelay of each classification ***,this work proposes a fiber optics fault prevention algorithm thatdetermines to mitigate the faults *** work utilized a publicly available fiber optics dataset namedOTDR_Data and applied different ML classifiers,such as Gaussian Naive Bayes(GNB),Logistic Regression(LR),Support Vector Machine(SVM),K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN),Random Forest(RF),and Decision Tree(DT).Moreover,Ensemble Learning(EL)techniques are applied to evaluate the accuracy of various *** addition,this work evaluated the performance of DL-based Convolutional Neural Network and Long-Short Term Memory(CNN-LSTM)hybrid *** findings reveal that the CNN-LSTM hybrid technique achieved the highestaccuracy of 99%with a delay of 360 *** the other hand,EL techniques improved the accuracy in detecting fiberoptic ***,this research comprehensively assesses accuracy and delay metrics for various classifiers andproposes the most efficient attack detection system in fiber optics.

The Koyna-Warna seismogenic region overlying the Deccan volcanic province of Western India has been experiencing the recurrence of earthquakes since 1967 soon after the impoundment of the Koyna Dam.A large number of small to medium-magnitude shallow focus earthquakes(>100,000)have been detected in this intraplate region during the last six *** the present study,the core samples recovered from the borehole‘KBH3’drilled upto 1134 m depth in the pre-Deccan granitoids basement rocks of this region have been subjected to mineralogical and geochemical studies.

Effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on semen quality in male partners of infertile couples: a hospitalbased observational study

The effects of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic on male fertility have received considerable attention because human testes contain high levels of angiotensin-converting enzyme-2 receptors,through which severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)can *** studies showed decreases in semen quality during and after recovery from ***,no semen quality studies have examined the effects of widespread subclinical and mild disease,as well as changes in lifestyle,psychosocial behavior,intake of dietary supplements,and *** cross-sectional study compared semen quality parameters in male partners of infertile couples between men who underwent semen analysis before the COVID-19 pandemic(prepandemic group)and men who underwent semen analysis during the pandemic period(pandemic group);the analysis sought to clarify the overall effects of the *** participants in the pandemic group had experienced clinically overt *** the 239 participants,mean body weight(P=0.001),mean body mass index(P<0.001),median sperm concentration(P=0.014),total sperm count(P=0.006),and total percentages of motile(P=0.013)and abnormal cells(P<0.001)were significantly greater in the pandemic group(n=137)than those in the prepandemic group(n=102).Among abnormal cells,the percentages of cells with excess residual cytoplasm(P<0.001),head defects(P<0.001),and tail defects(P=0.015)were significantly greater in the pandemic group than those in the prepandemic *** the exception of morphology,the overall semenogram results were better in the pandemic group than those in the prepandemic group.

Palaeodiet of Miocene Producers and Depositional Environments:Inferences from the First Evidence of Microcoprolites from India

This paper reviews research on coprolites from India,providing the first evidence of microcoprolites from the early Miocene(Aquitanian)Khari Nadi Formation sedimentary succession,exposed about 1.5 km northeast of the village of Kotada,Kachchh(Kutch)District,Gujarat State,western *** and size comparisons(in a statistical framework)with known coprolites from the Mesozoic-Cenozoic successions of India(including those recorded herein)and globally suggest that fishes were the likely producers of the Kotada *** electron microscopy confirms the presence of fish dental remains within the coprolites,while both Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM)and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy(EDS)reveal the phosphatic nature of the microscopic coprolite specimens(recorded herein)hinting that the producer(s)were predominantly carnivorous(ichthyophagous)in their ***,X-Ray Fluorescence(XRF)analysis of the host and associated lithologies allows us to deduce that the Kotada coprolites were deposited in a shallow marine environment,with possible aerial exposure of the host lithology occurring at some point after *** the best of our knowledge,the present report is the first record of microscopic fish coprolites from India,as well as being the first from the Aquitanian of India and the oldest Neogene record from India.

采用带有气体保护装置的TIG自熔焊技术以对接接头结构形式焊接厚度为3 mm的Ti-6Al-4V合金板。在适当热输入条件下获得完全熔透的焊接接头后,结合较高焊接电流和扫描速度以减少热输入开展后续实验。对不同热输入条件下获得的焊接接头进行深入的显微组织分析。结果表明,显微硬度、拉伸强度和断裂强度之间存在强相关性。采用较低的热输入可以显著提高焊接接头的力学性能。这是由于在较低热输入条件下,热输入的变化导致初生α相、初生β相和马氏体α相发生改变,从而改善了焊接接头的力学性能。随着热输入从0.406 k J/mm降低到0.232k J/mm,焊接接头的拉伸强度和断裂强度分别从1020和1015 MPa增加到1070和1950MPa。在最小热输入(0.232k J/mm)的情况下,接头的拉伸强度达到基材的98%。实验结果证明在低热输入条件下TIG焊焊接Ti-6Al-4V合金的潜力。

This work reports the cost-effective growth of Mg:PbI2 nanostructures with 0,1,2.5 and 5.0 wt.%Mg doping ***,vibrational,morphological properties are analyzed using x-ray diffraction(XRD),Raman spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).XRD and Raman studies confirm the monophasic hexagonal system of Mg:PbI2,and no additional impurity peaks are *** Scherrer formula is used to determine sizes of crystallites to be in the range of 47-52 ***/SEM e-mapping analyses confirm the incorporation of Mg in PbI2 matrix and its uniform distribution throughout the *** hexagonal nanosheet-and nanoplate-like morphologies are detected in SEM images for pure and Mg-doped *** optical band gap of nanostructures is obtained from Tauc’s relation to be in the range 3.0-3.25 *** and electrical properties are found in significant enhancement as Mg doping in PbI2 matrix,also the conduction mechanism is discussed.

Evaluation of functional outcome and stability of sutureless scleral tunnel fixated IOLs in children with ectopia lentis

AIM:To evaluate functional outcome of sutureless scleral tunnel intraocular lens(SSTIOL)in children with crystalline lens subluxation of more than 7 clock ***:A prospective interventional study was conducted consisting of 45 eyes of 44 children in age group 6-18 y having>7 clock hours of lens subluxation who underwent lensectomy-vitrectomy followed by SSTIOL *** outcome was improvement in best corrected visual acuity(BCVA)and secondary outcomes were assessment of intraocular lens(IOL)tilt using ultrasound biomicroscopy(UBM),mean change in astigmatism at last follow-up of 1 y and associated ***:The mean preoperative and postoperative BCVA was 1.05±0.28 and 0.64±0.45(log MAR)respectively(P=0.001)at last *** mean astigmatism preoperatively and postoperatively was-4.17±2.69 D and-1.86±1.25 D respectively(P=0.011).Significant IOL tilt(>5 degrees)was present in 5 *** mean percentage endothelial loss was 3.65%±1.92%.The most serious complication encountered was retinal detachment seen in 2 ***:SSTIOL implantation provides efficient visual rehabilitation in children provided there is stringent case *** recommend caution in children having white-to-white distance>12 mm and presence of peripheral retinal degenerations.

Comparison of conventional and Hang-back methods of inferior oblique recession in V-pattern strabismus with inferior oblique overaction

AIM:To compare outcomes of conventional and Hangback methods of inferior oblique(IO)recession in V-pattern strabismus with inferior oblique overaction(IOOA).METHODS:Comparative randomized study was conducted consisting of 50 patients,age 6 to 35 y having V-pattern strabismus[>15 prism diopter(PD)]with *** were divided equally in two groups and underwent IO recession,group A by conventional method and group B by Hang-back *** evaluated were reduction in V-pattern and IOOA,shift in torsion,improvement in binocular *** was a residual V-pattern of less than 10 PD at 1 y of follow ***:The mean V-pattern preoperatively and postoperatively at 1 y was 24±5.4 PD and 4.2±3.51 PD in group A and 23.44±6.44 PD and 5.76±3.8 PD in group B *** mean reduction in V-pattern was 20±6.78 PD in group A and 18.2±5.48 PD in group *** mean correction of IOOA was 18.48±3.13 PD in group A and 16±2.93 PD in group *** shift in extorsion was 3.08±1.8 degree in group A and 3.72±2.14 degree in group ***:Both the procedures achieve a significant and comparable reduction in V-pattern and ***-back recession being a landmark free surgery eliminates the need for intrascleral suturing thereby reducing the risk of scleral perforation with possible postoperative adjustment of *** may be considered as a good alternative for IO recession in patients of V-pattern strabismus with mild to moderate amount of IOOA.
