Background: Understanding the role of species identity in interactions among individuals is crucial for assessing the productivity and stability of mixed forests over time. However, there is limited knowledge concerning the variation in competitive effect and response of different species along climatic gradients. In this study, we investigated the importance of climate, tree size, and competition on the growth of three tree species: spruce(Picea abies), fir(Abies alba), and beech(Fagus sylvatica), and examined their competitive response and effect along a climatic ***: We selected 39 plots distributed across the European mountains with records of the position and growth of 5,759 individuals. For each target species, models relating tree growth to tree size, climate and competition were proposed. Competition was modelled using a neighbourhood competition index that considered the effects of inter-and intraspecific competition on target trees. Competitive responses and effects were related to *** methods and information theory were used to select the best ***: Our findings revealed that competition had a greater impact on target species growth than tree size or climate. Climate did influence the competitive effects of neighbouring species, but it did not affect the target species? response to competition. The strength of competitive effects varied along the gradient, contingent on the identity of the interacting species. When the target species exhibited an intermediate competitive effect relative to neighbouring species, both higher inter-than intraspecific competitive effects and competition reduction occurred along the gradient. Dietary exposure to aflatoxin B1(AFB1)is harmful to the health and performance of domestic *** hepatic cytochrome P450s(CYPs),CYP1A1 and CYP2A6,are the primary enzymes responsible for the bioactivation of AFB1to the highly toxic exo-AFB1-8,9-epoxide(AFBO)in ***,the transcriptional regulation mechanism of these CYP genes in the liver of chicks in AFB1metabolism remains ***-luciferase reporter assay,bioinformatics and site-directed mutation results indicated that specificity protein 1(SP1)and activator protein-1(AP-1)motifs were located in the core region-1,063/-948,-606/-541 of the CYP1A1 promoter as well as-636/-595,-503/-462,-147/-1 of the CYP2A6 ***,overexpression and decoy oligodeoxynucleotide technologies demonstrated that SP1 and AP-1 were pivotal transcriptional activators regulating the promoter activity of CYP1A1 and ***,bioactivation of AFB1to AFBO could be increased by upregulation of CYP1A1 and CYP2A6 expression,which was trans-activated owing to the upregulation of AP-1,rather than SP1,stimulated by AFB1-induced reactive oxygen ***,nano-selenium could reduce rOS,downregulate AP-1 expression and then decrease the expression of CYP1A1 and CYP2A6,thus alleviating the toxicity of *** conclusion,AP-1 and SP1 played important roles in the transactivation of CYP1A1 and CYP2A6 expression and further bioactivated AFB1to AFBO in chicken liver,which could provide novel targets for the remediation of aflatoxicosis in chicks.

Aflatoxin B_(1)(AFB_(1))is a naturally-occurring mycotoxin and recognized as the most toxic foodborne toxin,particularly causing damages to *** podocytes are terminally differentiated epithelial ***_(1)induces podocyte inflammation,proteinuria and renal *** the mechanism of AFB_(1)-induced podocyte inflammation and murine kidney dysfunction,we detected that AFB_(1)increased ubiquitindependent degradation of the transcription factor relA through enhanced interaction of relA with E3 ubiquitin ligase tripartite motif containing 7(TrIM7)in mouse podocyte clone-5(MPC-5)and mouse *** of relA resulted in decreasing microrNA-9(mir-9)and activating the chemokine receptor 4(CXCr4),thioredoxin interacting protein(TXNIP),and NOD-like receptor pyrin domain-containing 3(NLrP3)signaling axis(CXCr4/TXNIP/NLrP3 pathway),leading to podocyte *** also determined that downregulation of mir-9 led to CXCr4 expression and the downstream TXNIP/NLrP3 pathway *** of mir-9 or deletion of CXCr4 suppressed AFB_(1)-induced CXCr4/TXNIP/NLrP3 pathway,resulting in alleviating podocyte inflammation and kidney *** findings indicated that ubiquitin-dependent proteolysis of relA,downregulation of mir-9,and activation of CXCr4/TXNIP/NLrP3 pathway played an essential role in AFB_(1)-induced glomerular podocyte *** study revealed a novel mechanism,via relA,for the control of AFB_(1)’s nephrotoxicity,leading to an effective protection of food safety and public health.

Individuals with special needs learn more slowly than their peers and they need repetitions to be ***,in crowded classrooms,it is dif-ﬁcult for a teacher to deal with each student *** problem can be overcome by using supportive education ***,the majority of such applications are not designed for special education and therefore they are not efﬁcient as *** education students differ from their peers in terms of their development,characteristics,and educational qualiﬁ*** handwriting skills of individuals with special needs are lower than their *** makes the task of Handwriting recognition(HWr)more difﬁ*** over-come this problem,we propose a new personalized handwriting veriﬁcation sys-tem that validates digits from the handwriting of special education *** system uses a Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)created and trained from *** data set used is obtained by collecting the handwriting of the students with the help of a tablet.A special education center is visited and the handwrittenﬁgures of the students are collected under the supervision of special education *** system is designed as a person-dependent system as every student has their writing ***,the system achieves promising results,reaching a recognition accuracy of about 94%.Overall,the system can verify special educa-tion students’handwriting digits with high accuracy and is ready to integrate with a mobile application that is designed to teach digits to special education students.
