Objective:To evaluate the possible in vitro interaction between ethanolic extracts of Rhus coriaria[***)(seed),Sacropoterium spinosum(***)(seed),Rosa damascena(R. damascene)(flower) and certain known antimicrobial drugs including oxytetracycline HCl, penicillin C,cephalexin,sulfadimethoxine as sodium,and enr of *** synergy study was carried out against 3 clinical strains of multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (***).Methods:Evaluation of synergy interaction between plant extracts and antimicrobial agents was carried out using microdilution ***:The results of this study showed that there is a decrease in the MIC in case of combination of ethanolic plant extracts and test antimicrobial *** most interesting result was that the combination between R. coriaria and these antibiotics,showed a high decrease in minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC), and a strong bactericidal activity against these ***:These results may indicate that combinations between *** extract and these antibiotics could be useful in fighting emerging drug-resistance ***,which may due to that *** extract contain natural inhibitors working by different mechanisms or inhibiting efflux *** we have experiments underway leading to the identification of the active molecules present in ***,in vivo experiments are needed to confirm pseudomonal protection.

Objective:To assess the effect potency,and the immunomodulatory response of garlic oil extract in enhancing the host's immune system against the disorders caused by Schistosoma mamoni(***) in mice at different stages of worm ***:A total of 70 male CD-I Swiss albino mice were divided into 7 *** Ⅰ:healthy *** Ⅱ:garlic oil group orally administrating 100 mg garlic oil extract /kg ***.3 d a week for 6 *** Ⅲ:infected with *** cercariae and left untreated for 42 *** Ⅳ:treated with garlic oil extract from day 1 to day 7 post infection(PI).Group Ⅴ:treated with garlic oil extract from day 14 till day 21 *** Ⅵ:administrating garlic oil extract from day 35 until day 42 *** Ⅶ received oil extract from the first day of infection for 42 ***:Garlic oil extract showed changes in the parasite tegument with a significant decrease in worm burden,hepatic and intestinal ova count with a decline in granuloma number and *** alterations were accompanied with a reduction in serum TNF- α,ICAM-1,IgG and IgM after 7 and 42 d post *** cercarial ***:Results obtained confirmed the effect of garlic oil extract on the larval and mature stage of the parasite and in enhancing the host's immune system against the disorders caused by *** in mice.

Synthesis of Green Adhesive with Tannin Extracted from Eucalyptus Bark for Potential Use in Wood Composites

Recently,the exploitation of renewable plant resources in the formulation of adhesives is very promising for their availability at low coast,as well as their richness in biomolecules such as *** this way,many research studies tannins extracted from different sources such as mimosa,quebracho,and pine have been the subject of very satisfactory recent *** this paper,a new complete characterization of the tannins extracted from the bark of eucalyptus globulus harvested from two regions in Algeria was *** structural characterization enabled us to confirm the richness in condensed tannins,particularly in procyanidin and prodelphinidin *** most reactive tannins obtained during extraction at 70℃(yield:27.1%)have a Stiasny number of 75.92%.This extract was used for the formulation of adhesives(tannin/hexamine).The thermal characterizaction of the adhesives showed higher stability for the tannin formulation of eucalyptus/hexamine as well as an excellent mechanical performance with a MOE of 2807 MPa at 180℃and shear strength of 689.4 N/mm^(2).

In this paper, we address the problem of structure identification of Volterra models. It consists in estimating the model order and the memory length of each kernel. Two methods based on input-output crosscumulants are developed. The first one uses zero mean independent and identically distributed Caussian input, and the second one concerns a symmetric input sequence. Simulations are performed on six models having different orders and kernel memory lengths to demonstrate the advantages of the proposed methods.

Ultrasonic machining （USM） is of particular interest for the machining of non-conductive, brittle materials such as engineering ceramics. In this paper, a multi-tool technique is used in USM to reduce the vibration in the tool holder and have reasonable amplitude for the tools. This can be done via dynamic absorbers. The coupling of four nonlinear oscillators of the tool holder and tools representing ultrasonic cutting process are investigated. This leads to a four-degree-of-freedom system subjected to multi-external and multi-parametric excitation forces. The aim of this work is to control the tool holder behavior at simultaneous primary, sub-harmonic and internal resonance condition. Multiple scale perturbation method is used to obtain the solution up to the second order approximations. The different resonance cases are reported and studied numerically. The stability of the system is investigated by using both phase-plane and frequency response techniques. The effects of the different parameters of the tools on the system behavior are studied numerically. Comparison with the available published work is reported.

Many cities in Egypt have been built recently with spatial characteristics that differ structurally from the spatial configuration of the ancient Arab *** is a growing interest in understanding how social and economic phenomena related to the community are transformed in new cities,particularly those that extend from the old city,as is the case with the city of New *** have developed an analytical framework to study the effects of spatial configuration on the pace of growth of the new city and identify its characteristics in terms of phenomena related to movement and the distribution of economic activities,as well as urban vitality.A framework for combining quantitative and qualitative analysis helps in understanding phenomena related to the morphology of the development of the new *** syntactic analysis,place syntax and field observation,the spatial characteristics of the city of New Cairo were investigated,then compared with Old Cairo to determine which features were enriched in terms of the city’s vitality or what has been lost during the expansion phases,based on the planning concepts that were *** study concluded that changes in the characteristics of the spatial configurations of the new Egyptian cities by increasing the flow of vehicular traffic via wide arterial roads do not reflect the requirements of the local community,but instead impede local movement within the city and reduce the integration of its neighbourhoods,turning them into isolated *** greatest impact of this is the way in which the characteristics of society in these cities have been limited,resulting in isolation and a lack of connection with the identity of the place and the customs and traditions of the *** paper presents an analytical framework for evaluating similar cities in terms of the characteristics of this planning configuration,identifying the extent to which the old has been preserved or changed and emphasising the validity of the meth
