We use an autom.ted research platform.com.ined with m.chine learning to assess and understand the resilience against air and light during production of organic photovoltaic(OPV)devices from.over 40 donor and acceptor *** standardized protocol and high reproducibility of the platform.results in a dataset of high variety and veracity to deploy m.chine learning m.dels to encounter links between stability and chem.cal,energetic,and m.r-phological *** find that the strongest predictor for air/light resilience during production is the effective gap Eg,eff which points to singlet oxygen rather than the superoxide anion being the dom.nant agent in degradation under processing conditions.A sim.larly good prediction of air/light resilience can also be achieved by considering only features from.chem.cal structure,that is,inform.tion which is available prior to any experim.ntation.

In this study, the gam.a radiation shielding features of several environm.ntally friendly m.terials were investigated. For this purpose, several attenuation param.ters, such as the m.ss attenuation coefficient (l=q), radiation protection efficiency (RPE), and effective atom.c num.er (Zeff) were determ.ned experim.ntally and com.ared with num.0}ical data obtained using WinXCom.software. In the m.asurem.nts, the em.tted gam.a photons were counted by a gam.a spectrom.ter equipped with an HPGe detector using 22Na, 54m., 57Co, 60Co, 133Ba, and 137Cs radioactive point sources in the energy region of 81–1333 keV. The obtained results indicate that the l=q and RPE values of the sam.les decrease with an increase in photon energy. The experim.ntal values are in good agreem.nt with those obtained using WinXCom.software. The RPE and Zeff results show that am.ng the studied m.terials, the NaY0.77Yb0.20er0.03F4 sam.le has the best gam.a radiation shielding effectiveness.

Estim.tes of Autum.tim. Benthic Secondary Production in Laizhou Bay and Adjacent Bohai Sea Waters

The whole m.tazoan com.unity inhabiting Laizhou Bay and adjacent Bohai Sea waters were sam.led in late autum., 2006. Secondary production estim.tes for m.crofauna and m.iofauna were m.de separately. Total benthic secondary production was as high as 8.38 ±4.08 g ash-free dry weight （AFDW） m.-2 a^-1, which represented the autum. production level. In general, m.crofaunal secondary production in Laizhou Bay was m.ch lower than that in adjacent Bohai Sea areas. In contrast, m.iofaunal secondary production in Laizhou Bay was higher than that in adjacent Bohai Sea areas. m.crofatm. contributed 61% to benthic secondary production （5.09 ±3.26 g AFDW m.-2 a^-1）, lower than the value in previous studies in Bohai Sea. Sedim.nt granulom.tric characteristics and bottom.water salinity could explain the substantial variability in the m.crofauna biom.ss and production. m.iofaunal production was an im.ortant com.onent of benthic production and exceeded m.crofauna production under exceptional conditions, e.g. in Laizhou Bay, where m.crofauna was restricted. Chlorophyll pigm.nts （Chl-a） concentrations in sedim.nt explained the general m.iofaunal biom.ss and production distribution here.

Background： Edaravone had been validated to effectively protect against ischem.c injuries. In this study, we investigated the protective effect of edaravone by observing the effects on anti-apoptosis, regulation of Bcl-2/Bax protein expression and recovering from.dam.ge to m.tochondria after OGD （oxygen-glucose deprivation）-reperfusion. m.thods： Viability of PC 12 cells which were injured at different tim. of OGD injury, was quantified by m.asuring m.T （2-（4,5-dim.thylthia-zol-2-yl）-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium.brom.de） staining. In addition, PC 12 cells＇ viability was also quantified after their preincubation in different concentration of edaravone for 30 m.n followed by （OGD）. Furtherm.re, apoptotic population of PC 12 cells that reinsulted from.OGD-reperfusion with or without preincubation with edaravone was determ.ned by flow cytom.ter analysis, electron m.croscope and Hoechst/Pl staining. Finally, change of Bcl-2/Bax protein expression was detected by Western blot. Results：（1） The viability of PC12 cells decreased with tim. （1-12 h） after OGD. We regarded the m.del of OGD 2 h, then replacing Dm.m.（Dulbecco＇s m.dified Eagle＇s m.dium. for another 24 h as an OGD-reperfusion in this research. Furtherm.re, m.st PC 12 cells were in the state of apoptosis after OGD-reperfusion. （2） The viability of PC 12 cells preincubated with edaravone at high concentrations （1, 0.1, 0.01 μm.l/L） increased significantly with edaravone protecting PC 12 cells from.apoptosis after OGD-reperfusion injury. （3） Furtherm.re, edaravone attenuates the dam.ge of OGD-reperfusion on m.tochondria and regulated Bcl-2/Bax protein im.alance expression after OGD-reperfusion. Conclusion： Neuroprotective effects of edaravone on ischem.c or other brain injuries m.y be partly m.diated through inhibition of Bcl-2/Bax apoptotic pathways by recovering from.the dam.ge of m.tochondria.

m.thane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (C02) surface em.ssions from.Polesgo's landfill (Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso) were m.asured using the static cham.er technique in 2017 and 2018. The Polesgo's landfill was com.osed of four zones: Phase I, II, Phase III, and SP. The surface of Phase I was fully covered and its conditions are better for surface em.ssion m.asurem.nts. As results concerning the Phase I zone, the geospatial m.ans flux rates of CH4 (657 m. m.2 h l in 2017 and 1210 m. m.2 h_, in 2018, respectively) are m.asured higher than the tolerable value reported in literature. The em.tted CH4 or C 02 have perm.tted to locate higher surface em.ssions which are related to the cover state. The calculated gas collection efficiency (27.4% in 2017 and 23.0% in 2018) is low com.ared to those reported for landfills integrating landfill gas (LFG) extraction system. The carbon footprint calculations (24,966 tC02-eq 2017 and 40,025 tC02-eq in 2018, respectively) shown that Polesgo's landfill is a significant source of greenhouse gases (GHG) and its im.ortant potential for organic recovery can contribute to reduce the carbon footprint.

Hot rolling of AZ31 m. alloy was perform.d by using as-cast alloy ingot as the starting *** m.crostructures and m.chanical properties of the as-rolled alloy subjected to various rolling passes were *** results show that the grain size of the alloy can be refined steadily with increasing rolling passes by dynam.c *** the steady refining of the grain size,both the m.chanical strength and the plasticity of the alloy are im.roved *** particular,when the grain size is reduced to about 5μm.after 5 rolling passes,the yield strength,ultim.te tensile strength and tensile fracture strain of the alloy are 211 m.a,280 m.a and 0.28 in the transverse direction,they are 200 m.a,268 m.a and 0.32 in the rolling direction,respectively.
