The molecular factors involved in the three-way interaction between plant, pathogenic fungi and antagonistic/biocontrol fungi, such as Trichoderma, are still poorly understood, even if they represent a matter of interest for improving crop management and developing new strategies for plant diseases control. The aim of this work is to investigate the components involved in this interaction and, for this purpose, a proteomic approach was used. 2-D maps of the protein extracts from the single components in various interactions between plants (potato, bean, tobacco or tomato), pathogens (Botrytis cinerea, Rhizoctonia solani or Pythium ultimum) and biocontrol fungi (Trichoderma atroviride strain P1 or Trichoderma harzianum strain T22) were obtained. The proteome of each partner was collected separately and extracted by acetone precipitation in presence of trichloroacetic acid and a reducing agent (DTT). The extracted proteins were separated by isoelectrofocusing (IEF), using IPg (Immobilized pH gradient) strips, followed by SDS-PAgE. In order to improve resolution the separations were performed both on wide than narrow pH range and on different gel lengths. Differential spots were noted in the proteome of the three-way interaction when compared to each single component. These were further characterized by mass spectrometry and in silico analysis with the aim of identifying and cloning the relative genes. During the in vitro interaction of T. harzianum strain T22 with tomato and the culture filtrate or cell walls of pathogens, the spot number was higher than in the presence of pathogen biomass. In terms of Trichoderma differential proteins displayed on 2D gels, the most important changes were obtained in the presence of P. ultimum . During the in vivo interaction with tomato, the antagonist proteome changed much more in presence of soilborne fungi R. solani and P. ultimum than with the foliar fungus B. cinerea, both in terms of total and increased or novel spots. 背景与目的脂肪获取和处理技术的差异可能会影响脂肪移植的成功率。本研究利用裸鼠模型，对比不同处理方法获取的脂肪移植物的性质，并评估移植脂肪组织中存活组织的体积。方法第一阶段，通过负压吸引辅助脂肪抽吸或超声辅助脂肪抽吸2种方式获取脂肪，并利用2种孔隙尺寸的筛网进行过滤。对移植材料的如下方面进行分析：平均团块大小，油脂、脂肪和水溶性成分的构成比，以及基质血管细胞群（stromalvascularfraction，SVF）的产量。将过滤物及滤液注入无胸腺的裸鼠皮下。第二阶段，将仅通过负压吸引吸脂术中获取脂肪抽吸物，进行离心、纱布摇匀或过滤处理，然后利用相似的规范进行研究。结果与负压吸引脂肪抽吸术相比，超声辅助的脂肪抽吸术获取的脂肪在SVF含量和脂肪移植体内研究成活量情况均相似。通过超声辅助的脂肪抽吸术仅比负压脂肪抽吸术产生稍微多的油脂；通过500μm或800μm孔径的滤网进行过滤均可有效去除液体和油脂。利用纱布法处理的脂肪，其体内移植成活率和SVF产量均最高。对所有移植物的组织学分析均显示为完整的脂肪组织。结论通过超声辅助及负压吸引行脂肪抽吸术获取的脂肪，其在异种移植模型中具有相似的成活率。对于少量填充移植而要求最佳成活率的身体敏感区域而言，利用纱布摇匀的处理方式可能是用于美容性脂肪移植的最佳方法。过滤法和离心法均可有效去除液体成分，其处理过的脂肪具有相似的移植成活率，当所需移植体积较大时，这2种方法均可行。

Background: Topical anesthetics, unlike injectable anesthetics, can be applied painlessly and can provide sufficient pain control to maintain patient comfort throughout a variety of laser procedures. Although the use of topical lidocaine is considered relatively safe, instances of cardiotoxic andneurotoxic adverse events have been reported to occur. Observations: A 52-year-old woman underwent fractional photothermolysis for management of severe hypopigmentation and scarring of several years’duration. Shortly after termination of treatment to her face and neck, which required prolonged exposure to a 30%lidocaine gel compound both before and during surgery, she developed clinical signs and symptoms consistent with systemic lidocaine toxicity. The results of laboratory studies confirmed serum lidocaine levels within the toxic range. We postulate that the combination of the high concentration of topical lidocaine required to achieve sufficient anesthesia, together with the laser induced disruption in epidermal barrier function,may have been responsible for this phenomenon. Conclusions: Application of a 30%topical lidocaine gel to a limited area in conjunction with fractional photothermolysis may generate serum lidocaine levels high enough to elicit systemic toxicity. Laser surgeons should be alert to this phenomenon, particularly in patientswith underlying hepatic, endocrine, cardiac, or central nervous system/ psychiatric dysfunction; in patients with a low body mass index; and in patients who are taking medications that may interfere with hepatic lidocaine metabolism.

Performance Analysis of the Aeration Valves and Its Protections at the generating Units in ITAIPU Hydroelectric Power Plant

With the growing energetic need present in the world, it is increasingly necessary for the researches and facilities to seek a better use of renewable natural resources. This paper is applied in the study of the performance of the aeration system of the Francis turbines present in Itaipu Hydroelectric Power Plant. When a Francis turbine operates off its optimal conditions, a vortex is formed inside the draft tube that, besides produces cavitation and pressure fluctuations, can pulse at frequencies with risk of resonance with hydraulic system, producing efforts and vibrations that may cause structural failures in the turbines, generators and civil parts of the power house. These damaging effects can be reduced using atmospheric aeration of the turbines. Because of this, the availability and effectively of the aeration system is fundamental to smooth the behavior of the turbines, helping preserve the health of the power plant. An analysis of the performance of the aeration system will be done using maintenance records and disturbances analysis reports (RAP), allowing verification of the operating conditions of the turbine and fatality of water inlet in air pipes. Through the improvements detected, it is possible to reduce machine stoppages by tripping, thus increasing the availability of the turbines.

Itaipu Binacional Hydro Power Plant Thrust Bearing Design Optimization for Higher Efficiency

Hydro generators installed in Itaipu Binacional power plant with 824/737 MVA rated output power (50/60 Hz) belong to the largest ones in the world. Among many unique features, the generators are equipped with the largest hydrodynamic thrust bearings ever built (external diameter 5,200 mm, axial load equals approximately 3,600 t). This paper is an attempt to propose a new thrust bearing design with the use of the state-of-the-art technologies and simulation techniques that demonstrate a reduction of friction power losses generated by the thrust bearing. This paper is divided into two parts. Within the first one, the original thrust bearing design which was implemented in the generators is described. Related calculation results based on a TEHD (thermo-elasto-hydrodynamic) calculation software used by Alstom will be presented. A comparison between measurement results gathered in the 1980s is given. In the second part, a potential solution of a more beneficial bearing design is described. The proposed thrust bearing design modification is an implementation of Alstom"s PolypadTM coating. This modern polymer (PEEK) coating material has already been used by Alstom in projects around the world for many years. This coating allows pushing the operating parameters limits toward higher temperatures and lower oil film thicknesses far beyond the limits known for the conventional bearing materials.

[背景]一些城市队列研究已经表明空气污染长期暴露与死亡率相关联。但利用包括非城市人群的大规模人口登记数据分析这种关联的研究却很少。[目的]基于现有的国家数据库,评估荷兰空气污染长期暴露与非意外和死因别死亡率之间的关联。[方法]使用荷兰现有的有关死亡率、个体特征、居住历史、社区特征以及全国空气污染地图的数据库,其中全国空气污染地图是基于土地利用回归(LUR)技术,并针对空气动力学直径≤10μm(PM10)的颗粒物和二氧化氮(NO2)。使用这些数据库建立一个710万人的队列,且队列中研究对象的年龄均≥30岁。跟踪这一队列7年(2004—2011年),采用Cox比例风险模型校正潜在的个体和区域特定的混杂因素。[结果]校正个人和区域特定的混杂因素后,PM10和NO2每增加10μg/m3与非意外死亡[分别为危险比(HR)=1.08,95%CI:1.07~1.09;HR=1.03,95%CI:1.02~1.03]、呼吸系统死亡(分别为HR=1.13,95%CI:1.10~1.17;HR=1.02,95%CI:1.01~1.03)和肺癌死亡(分别为HR=1.26,95%CI:1.21~1.30;HR=1.10,95%CI:1.09~1.11)相关联。此外,PM_(10)与循环系统疾病死亡率(HR=1.06,95%CI:1.04~1.08)相关,但NO_2与其没有关联(HR=1.00,95%CI:0.99~1.01)。在校正了NO_2之后,PM_(10)的关联表现稳健;在校正了PM_(10)之后,NO^2与非意外死亡率和肺癌死亡率间的关联仍然存在。[结论]PM_(10)和NO_2长期暴露与荷兰30岁以上人群的非意外死亡率和死因别死亡率有关联。
