As well known in the petroleum industry and academia,Ni/ZnO catalysts have excellent desulfurization ***,the sulfur transfer mechanism of reactive adsorption desulfurization(RADS)that occurs on Ni/ZnO catalysts remains ***,a periodic Ni nanorod supported on ZnO slab was built to represent the Ni/ZnO system,and density functional theory calculations were performed to study the sulfur transfer process and the role of H_(2)within the *** results elucidate that the direct solid-state diffusion of S from Ni to interfacial oxygen vacancies(Ov)is more favorable than the hydrogenation of S to sh.H_(2)S on Ni and the subsequent H_(2)S desorption,and accordingly,H_(2)O is produced on Ni rather than on *** initio thermodynamics analysis sh.ws that the hydrogen atmosphere applied in preparing Ni/ZnO catalysts greatly promotes the O_(v)formation on ZnO surface,which accounts for the presence of interfacial O_(v)in fresh.y prepared *** RADS condition,hydrogenation of interfacial O atoms to form O-H groups facilitates the reverse spillover of these lattice O atoms from ZnO to Ni,accompanied with the interfacial O_(v)*** contrast to the classic S transfer mechanism via H_(2)S,the present work clearly demonstrates that the interfacial S transfer is a feasible reaction pathway in the RADS *** importantly,the existence of interfacial O_(v)is an essential prerequisite for this interfacial S diffusion,and H_(2)plays a key role in facilitating the O_(v)formation.

The Paris Agreement has prompted much interest in the societal and health impacts of limiting global warming to 1.5 ℃ and 2 ℃. Previous assessments of differential impacts of two targets indicate that 1.5 ℃ warming target would substantially reduce the impact on human health compared to 2 ℃, but they mainly focused on the magnitude of temperature changes under future climate change scenarios without any consideration of greater frequency of cumulative heat exposures within a day. Here we quantified the health risks of compound daytime and nighttime hot extremes using morbidity data in a megacity of China, and also identified the time-period of heat exposure with higher risks. Then we projected future morbidity burden attributable to compound hot extremes due to the half-degree warming. We estimated that the 2 ℃ warming scenario by 2100 as opposed to 1.5 ℃ would increase annual heat-related ambulance dispatches by 31% in sh.nzhen city. Substantial additional impacts were associated with occurrence of consecutive hot days and nights, with ambulance dispatches increased by 82%. Our results suggested that compound hot extremes sh.uld be considered in assessment of heat-related health impacts, particularly in the context of climate change. Minimizing the warming of climate in a more ambitious target can significantly reduce the health damage.

Based on annual minimum air temperature, the minimum ground temperature, cloudiness, air pressure, wind velocity in Lianyungang City during 1971 -2010 and sounding geopotential height, wind direction, dew point and temperature at related stations, using mathematical stepwise regression method and SPSS statistical software, sh.rt-term prediction equations of daily minimum air temperature and daily minimum ground temperature at the observation station were establish.d. According to the relationsh.ps between frost and temperature, ground temperature, based on local frost forecast standard, the sh.rt-term forecast equation was used to judge if frost occurred in Lianyungang City. Via real-time weather mo- nitoring, accurate and fine forecast and early warning, sh.rt-term objective forecast business system of frost in Lianyungang was establish.d for a full range of effective service.

Different types of explants of China Rose （Rosa chinensis Jacq.） were placed on a Schenk and Hildebrandt （sh. medium containing L-proline and 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid （2,4-D）. Organogenesis was observed on callus induced from both whole leaf and petiole and the high frequency of organogenesis was observed on the whole leaf. sh.ot regeneration was obtained via or- ganogenesis. The effects of pH and concentrations of antibiotics on maintenance of organogenesis capacity were investigated in sub- sequent subcultures. The pH value was found to play a critical role in retaining organogenesis capacity. The binary vector pBI121, carrying the gus gene coding for fl-glucuronidase （GUS） and the npt II gene mediated by Agrobacterium tumefaciens, was used for transformation of organogenic callus using 50 mg·L^-1 geneticin for selection. Six regenerated lines sh.wed GUS activity, of which five were verified for the presence ofnpt Ⅱ gene by PCR.

This study addresses subseasonal variations of oceanic evaporation（E） over the North Pacific during winter,and the connection with the cold air surges（CAS） and atmospheric water vapor transport using the OAFlux and ERA-Interim daily *** performing an empirical orthogonal function（EOF） analysis,two dominant modes of subseasonal evaporation anomaly（E?） are identified:a zonally wave-train like pattern（EOF1）,and an east positive–west negative dipolar pattern（EOF2） in the midlatitude *** analyses yield the following conclusions.（1） The Siberian high（sh.-related CAS has a crucial role in generation of the EOF1 mode of E?.When the dry and cold airmass passes the warm kurosh.o current and its extension（kOE） region,the increased air–sea temperature and moisture differences and intensified wind speed lead to the above-normal oceanic E,and vice versa.（2） The Aleutian low（AL）-related CAS contributes to the EOF2 mode of E?.The intensified AL transports dramatically colder and drier airmass toward the kOE region,and slightly warmer and wetter one toward the west coast of North America,leading to the east positive–west negative structure of E? in the midlatitude basin.（3）A quasi-linear relationsh.p exists between E? and divergent water vapor transport anomalies over the kOE ***（negative） E? is generally accompanied by anomalous vapor source（sink）.（4） The divergent water vapor transport anomalies associated with the two EOFs are preliminarily decided by their individual lower-level wind fields anomalies,and secondly by the meridional inhomogeneity of subseasonal specific humidity *** effects on precipitation over the pan-North Pacific region are also discussed.
