Recently generalized exponential distribution has received considerable attentions. In this paper, we deal with the Bayesian inference of the unknown parameters of the progressively censored generalized exponential distribution. It is assumed that the scale and the shape parameters have independent gamma priors. The Bayes estimates of the unknown parameters cannot be obtained in the closed form. Lindley’s approximation and importance sampling technique have been suggested to compute the approximate Bayes estimates. Markov Chain Monte Carlo method has been used to compute the approximate Bayes estimates and also to construct the highest posterior density credible intervals. We also provide different criteria to compare two different sampling schemes and hence to find the optimal sampling schemes. It is observed that finding the optimum censoring procedure is a computationally expensive process. And we have recommended to use the sub-optimal censoring procedure, which can be obtained very easily. Monte Carlo simulations are performed to compare the performances of the different methods and one data analysis has been performed for illustrative purposes.

Learning and self-adaptation ability is highly required to be integrated in path planning algorithm for underwater robot during navigation through an unspecified underwater environment. High frequency oscillations during underwater motion are responsible for nonlinearities in dynamic behavior of underwater robot as well as uncertainties in hydrodynamic coefficients. Reactive behaviors of underwater robot are designed considering the position and orientation of both target and nearest obstacle from robot s current position. Human like reasoning power and approximation based learning skill of neural based adaptive fuzzy inference system（ANFIS）has been found to be effective for underwater multivariable motion control. More than one ANFIS models are used here for achieving goal and obstacle avoidance while avoiding local minima situation in both horizontal and vertical plane of three dimensional *** error gradient approach based on input-output training patterns for learning purpose has been promoted to spawn trajectory of underwater robot optimizing path length as well as time taken. The simulation and experimental results endorse sturdiness and viability of the proposed method in comparison with other navigational methodologies to negotiate with hectic conditions during motion of underwater mobile robot.

Sharka caused by Plum pox virus（PPV）is the most harmful disease of stone fruits in Europe and elsewhere in the *** is no highly PPV resistant cultivar of *** approach has led to the development of resistance through genetic *** this study,we evaluated a transgenic plum Prunus domestica L.,clone C5（*** Sweet）,where the PPV resistance is based on RNA interference（RNAi）.Resistance in C5 plums has been evaluated for PPV,Prune dwarf virus（PDV）,and Apple chlorotic leaf spot virus（ACLSV）in a regulated field trial in the Czech Republic for 12 years（2002–2013）.Even under high and permanent infection pressure introduced through graft inoculation of the viruses,PPV has been detected in C5 trees only in several leaves situated close to the point of inoculum grafting in the first nine *** symptoms of PPV disappeared year by *** PPV symptoms were observed in the last three years and results of ELISA detection were *** results were obtained,when RT-PCR was used for PPV *** natural infection of PPV by aphids was recorded in C5 plums,even if PPV infected plants were growing in the same experimental field in close ***-infections of PPV with PDV and/or ACLSV had practically no influence on stability of resistance in C5 *** years of field testing in the Czech Republic clearly demonstrated the high level of resistance of C5 either to PPV infection by graft inoculation or natural infection through aphid vectors.

The high price of different biodiesels and the need for many of their raw ingredients as food materials are the main constraints to be overcome when seeking the best potential alternative fuels to petro-diesel. Apart from that, some properties like high density, viscosity and acid value along with low cloud and pour points preclude their use in com- pression ignition （CI） engines as these properties can cause serious damage to the parts of the engine and reduce engine life. In this experiment, biodiesel was produced from the oil of unused algae by a two-step ＇acid esterification followed by transesterification＇ procedure. Taguchi＇s method was applied to design the experiment, and a L25 orthogonal array was prepared to optimize the biodiesel production procedure. The optimized conditions for transesterification were： methanol to oil molar ratio of 6：1, catalyst （kOH） concentration of 2.5 wt%, reaction time of 90 min and reaction temperature of 50 ~C, achieving a biodiesel production of 89.7% with free fatty acid content of 0.25%. It was found that the CI engine emitted less CO, CO2 and hydrocarbon and higher NOx using algal biodiesel than that using petro-diesel. All properties of the algal biodiesel were within the limit of ASTM standards.

Climate change affects the environment and natural resources immensely. Rainfall, temperature and evapotranspiration are major parameters of climate affecting changes in the environment. Evapotrans- piration plays a key role in crop production and water balance of a region, one of the major parameters affected by climate change. The reference evapotranspiration or ETo is a calculated parameter used in this research. In the present study, changes in the future rainfall, minimum and maximum temperature, and ETo have been shown by downscaling the HadCM3 （Hadley Centre Coupled Model version 3） model data. The selected study area is located in a part of the Narmada river basin area in Madhya Pradesh in central India. The downscaled outputs of projected rainfall, ETo and temperatures have been shown for the 21st century with the HADCM3 data of A2 scenario by the Least Square Support Vector Machine （LS-SVM） model. The efficiency of the LS-SVM model was measured by different statistical methods. The selected predictors show considerable correlation with the rainfall and temperature and the application of this model has been done in a basin area which is an agriculture based region and is sensitive to the change of rainfall and temperature. Results showed an increase in the future rainfall, temperatures and ETo. The temperature increase is projected in the high rise of minimum temperature in winter time and the highest increase in maximum temperature is projected in the pre-monsoon season or from March to May. Highest increase is projected in the 2080s in 2081-2091 and 2091-2099 in maximum temperature and 2091-2099 in minimum temperature in all the stations. Winter maximum temperature has been observed to have increased in the future. High rainfall is also observed with higher ETo in some decades. MicroRNAs （miRNAs） represent a class of small non-coding RNA molecules that play a crucial role in post- transcriptional gene regulation. Several conserved and species-specific miRNAs have been characterized to date, predominantly from the plant species whose genome is well characterized. However, information on the variability of these regulatory RNAs in economically important but genetically less characterized crop species are limited. Vigna mungo is an important grain legume, which is grown primarily for its protein-rich edible seeds, miRNAs from this species have not been identified to date due to lack of genome sequence information. To identify miRNAs from V. mungo, a small RNA library was constructed from young leaves. High- throughput IIlumina sequencing technology and bioinformat- ic analysis of the small RNA reads led to the identification of 66 miRNA loci represented by 45 conserved miRNAs belonging to 19 families and eight non-conserved miRNAs belonging to seven families. Besides, 13 novel miRNA candidates in V. mungo were also identified. Expressior patterns of selected conserved, non-conserved, and nove miRNA candidates have been demonstrated in leaf, stem, ant root tissues by quantitative polymerase chain reaction, ant potential target genes were predicted for most of the conserved miRNAs. This information offers genomic resour ces for better understanding of miRNA mediated post transcriptional gene regulation.

Determining maximum shear stress in confined substrate from elastic wave reflection coefficient

The relationship between the maximum shear stress in a substrate solid and the elastic wave reflection coefficient from the interface between the substrate solid and an overlying solid half-space is investigated. Both substrate and overlying solid media are assumed to be initially isotropic and stress-free. Then as the substrate is subjected to horizontal confined stresses it becomes anisotropic. It is shown that longitudinal and shear wave reflection coefficients are related to the degree of stress induced anisotropy in the substrate medium. From this relation the confined stress level and the maximum shear stress generated on the vertical planes of the substrate are estimated. Authors in their previous investigation computed plane wave reflection coefficient in a biaxially compressed solid substrate immersed in a fluid. This paper reports for the first time how the maximum shear stress in a biaxially compressed substrate medium can be measured from the plane wave reflection coefficients when the overlying medium is also a solid half-space.

Higher Himalayan Crystalline（HHC） complex of the Sikkim Himalaya predominantly consists of high-grade pelitic *** this study,reaction textures,mineral/bulk rare earth elements （REE）,trace element partition coefficients and trace element zoning profiles in garnet are used to demonstrate a complex petrogenetic process during crustal *** the help of equilibrium REE and trace element partitioning model,it is shown that strong enrichment of Effective Bulk Composition（EBC） is responsible for the zoning in garnet in these *** data strongly support disequilibrium element partitioning and suggest that the anatectic melts associated with mafic selvedges are likely produced by disequilibrium melting because of fast melt segregation process.

Stone fruits are an important crop in most parts of the world and are heavily challenged by several viruses including Plum pox virus (PPV), Prune dwarf virus (PDV), Prunus necrotic ringspot virus (PNRSV), and Apple chlorotic leaf spot virus (ACLSV). We validated the PPV resistance in C5 plum plants (commercially known as HoneySweet) grown in the Czech Republic for more than 16 years in a field trial experiment under natural environmental conditions. We quantified single (PPV-Rec) and mixed viruses (PPV-Rec+ACLSV, PPV-Rec+PDV and PPV-Rec+ACLSV+PDV) in C5 transgenic plums inoculated for the period 2016 to 2018. The accumulation of PPV-Rec was high (~5.43E+05 copies) compared with that of ACLSV (~8.70E+04 copies) in the inoculated graft of C5 transgenic plants. Leaves close to the inoculum sources showed a differential level of virus titre in single and mixed infections (~10 to ~5×10^2 copies). C5 plants with permanent virus pressure showed 103- to 105-fold fewer copies of viruses than those of the inoculated graft. We observed high accumulation of conserved miRNAs such as miR167, miR69 and miR396 in C5 plants co-infected with PPV, ACLSV and PDV that are associated with its resistance against viruses. Overall, i) C5 transgenic plums showed high resistance to PPV infection, and a low level (~32 copies) of PPV only accumulated in some grafted plants, ii) high accumulation of PPV was found in inoculated grafts in single PPV infection and mixed infections, iii) heterologous virus infection sustained by ACLSV or PDV did not suppress PPV resistance, and iv) high and low conserved microRNAs accumulated in C5 plants.
