Soy protein isolate(SPI)biopolymeric films were prepared by adding different contents of mandelic acid(1 to 5%wrt SPI)to glycerol plasticized SPI by solution casting ***,SPI was fermented by Bacillus subtilis to get fermented SPI films by solution *** mass determination of mandelic acid incorporated and fermented SPI films was carried out by sodium dodecyl sulphate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis(SDS-PAGE).Mandelic acid incorporated and fermented SPI films were characterized by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA),tensile strength,water uptake and optical transmittance *** indicated that incorporation of mandelic acid in SPI resulted in high tensile strength(8.03 MPa)and highα-relaxation(Tα)as well as low water *** the other hand,films cannot be prepared from fermented SPI with SPI contents of 8%and 12%.However,film from fermented SPI with 16%SPI content could be prepared but it exhibited low tensile strength(3.18 MPa)and low Tαas well as high water *** resulting mandelic acid incorporated SPI films were also subjected to antimicrobial *** all the concentration of mandelic acid,we can easily observe the antimicrobial effect in mandelic acid incorporated SPI films unlike fermented SPI *** work will be helpful in fabricating antimicrobial SPI film from renewable resources.

The Bikaner-Nagaur and Barmer Basins(Rajasthan)are the most important petroliferous sedimentary basins in *** over a decade,the exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons in these ***-Eocene age rocks bear organic-rich sediments in these basins,including lignite and carbonaceous shale *** present research investigates the source rock properties,petroleum potential and thermal maturity of the carbonaceous shale partings from the lignite mines of Gurha(Bikaner-Nagaur Basin)and kapurdi(Barmer Basin)using petrographical and geochemical *** carbonaceous shales have high organic matter(OM),with considerable total organic carbon(TOC)contents ranging from 13%to 39%.Furthermore,they contain hydrogen-rich kerogen,including types II and II/III,as evidenced by the Rock-Eval and elemental analysis *** existence of these kerogen types indicates the abundance of reactive(vitrinite and liptinite)***,the carbonaceous shales from the Bikaner–Nagaur Basin have oil generation potentials,with a high hydrogen index(up to 516 mg HC/g TOC)and a H/C ratio(up to 1.5)along with a significant presence of oil-prone liptinitic *** from the geochemical and petrological results,the studied shales have low huminite reflectance(0.31%–0.48%),maximum temperature(S_(2) peak;Tmax)between 419℃ and 429℃,and low production index values(PI:0.01–0.03).These results indicate that these carbonaceous shales contain immature OM,and thereby,they cannot yet release commercial amount of *** immaturity level in the studied outcrop section is due to the shallow burial *** proxies further indicate the presence of both oil and gas-prone source rocks.

BACkGROUND Internal hernia(IH)is a rare culprit of small bowel obstruction(SBO)with an incidence ofknow,India between September 2010 and August 2023 were *** Out of 586 patients,7(1.2%)were diagnosed with *** these,4 had congenital IH and 3 had acquired *** male-to-female ratio was 4:*** median age at presentation was 32 ***-enhanced computed tomography(CECT)was the most reliable investigation for preoperative identification,demonstrating mesenteric whirling and clumped-up bowel *** paraduodenal hernia and transmesenteric hernia occurred with an equal frequency(approximately 43%each).Intraoperatively,one patient was found to have bowel ischemia and one had associated malrotation of *** follow-up,no recurrences were *** IH,being a rare cause,must be considered as a differential diagnosis for SBO,especially in young patients in their 30s or with unexplained abdominal pain or discomfort post-surgery.A rapid imaging evaluation,preferably with CECT,is necessary to aid in an early diagnosis and prompt intervention,thereby reducing financial burden related to unnecessary investigations and preventing the morbidity and mortality associated with closed-loop obstruction and strangulation of the bowel.

Stevia is well-known for its unique non-caloric intense sweetness and recognising as one of the most acceptable ***,quality control and metabolite profiling perspectives,two isocratic reverse-phase UPLC-PDA-ELSD-MS methods were developed to determine nine diterpene glycosides(method A)and isomeric compounds(steviol and isosteviol;method B).Both the methods were validated and found as per the ICH guidelines for accuracy(recovery),precision(Intraday,interday,and intermediate precision),linearity,and regression coefficient(r2),ruggedness(eluent concentration±2 mM,column oven temperature±3℃ and retention time),and system suitability(theoretical plate count,asymmetric factor,injection precision and resolution).LOD for steviol and its glycosides were found between 0.92 and 5.22μg/mL while LOQ were 2.78-18.29μg/mL,*** methods had shown only the presence of steviol glycosides in Stevia rebaudina samples while LC-ESI-MS/MS revealed the identification of 46 different class of *** methods will be helpful to monitor quality in Stevia production and its derived products.
