Bacterial infection is recognized as one of the biggest global health threats, causing millions of people's death every year(Wang et al., 2020). Traditional antibiotics-based therapies have been widely utilized to control this issue(kohanski et al., 2010); however, their excessive use leads to the emergence of antibioticresistant bacteria, endangering to human health(Levy and Marshall, 2004).

Metal halide perovskites have emerged as promising light-emitting materials for next-generation displays owing to their remarkable material characteristics including broad color tunability,pure color emission with remarkably narrow bandwidths,high quantum yield,and solution *** recent advances have pushed the luminance efficiency of monochromic perovskite light-emitting diodes(PeLEDs)to their theoretical limits,their current fabrication using the spincoating process poses limitations for fabrication of full-color *** integrate PeLEDs into full-color display panels,it is crucial to pattern red–green–blue(RGB)perovskite pixels,while mitigating issues such as cross-contamination and reductions in luminous ***,we present state-of-the-art patterning technologies for the development of full-color ***,we highlight recent advances in the development of efficient ***,we discuss various patterning techniques of MPHs(i.e.,photolithography,inkjet printing,electron beam lithography and laserassisted lithography,electrohydrodynamic jet printing,thermal evaporation,and transfer printing)for fabrication of RGB pixelated *** patterning techniques can be classified into two distinct approaches:in situ crystallization patterning using perovskite precursors and patterning of colloidal perovskite *** review highlights advancements and limitations in patterning techniques for PeLEDs,paving the way for integrating PeLEDs into full-color panels.

The exposure patterns of pest control and disinfection workers have changed after the coronavirus disease 2019(cOVID-19)outbreak,but the health risks of chemical exposure have not been *** identified these workers’chemical exposure patterns and risks before and after the cOVID-19 *** used data conducted between 2018(pre-pandemic)and 2021(post-pandemic)from three-year cross-sectional surveys on pest control and disinfection *** and dermal exposure concentrations were estimated using equations based on a biocidal product risk assessment model from the korean National Institute of Environmental *** non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic risks of chemicals were calculated using the United States Environmental Protection Agency risk assessment *** found that the annual work frequency(50^(th)percentile)of foggers using disinfectants increased the most among all the work types,from 140 uses/year to 176 uses/year after the cOVID-19 ***,all chemicals’non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic risks increased regardless of exposure *** the worst scenario(95^(th)percentile),the margin of exposure for citric acid,benzethonium chloride,benzyl-c12-16-alkyldimethyl chlorides,and sodium chlorite of inhalation exposure,and isopropyl alcohol and benzyl-c12-16-alkyldimethyl chlorides of dermal exposure were acceptable(>100)before the cOVID-19outbreak but became unacceptable(cOVID-19 *** risks of dichlorvos from inhalation and dermal exposure were above acceptable levels(>10^(-6))before and after the cOVID-19 outbreak but comparatively high after the cOVID-19 ***,significantly more workers experienced health symptoms after the cOVID-19outbreak(pcommon being muscle lethargy(31%),skin/face stinging(28.7%),and breath shortness/neck pain(24.1%).

The levered-dual response(LEDAR)coulomb-damped system attains near resonant vibration isolation by differential preloads/offsets in linear *** takes the advantages of both the preloads/offsets in linear springs and the guiderail friction for realizing different levels of vibration *** isolation capacities are investigated on the strategies with both the horizontal and vertical guiderails,with the horizontal rail only,and without *** compressive preloads generally result in the consumption of most of the initial excitation energy so as to overcome the potential *** isolation onsets at the frequency ratio of 1∓0.095 on the left-hand side(LHS)and the right-hand side(RHS)of the lever are relative to the load plate *** observed near resonant isolation thus makes the LEDAR system a candidate for the isolation of the mechanical systems about resonance while opening a path for simultaneous harvesterisolation functions and passive functions at extreme frequencies.

This study aims to investigate the feasibility of deriving in situ horizontal stresses from the breakout width and depth using the analytical ***-three breakout data with different borehole sizes were collected and three failure criteria were *** on the kirsch equations,relatively accurate major horizontal stress(sH)estimations from known minor horizontal stress(sh)were achieved with percentage errors ranging from 0.33%to 44.08%using the breakout *** Mogi-coulomb failure criterion(average error:13.1%)outperformed modified Wiebols-cook(average error:19.09%)and modified Lade(average error:18.09%)failure ***,none of the tested constitutive models could yield reasonable sh predictions from known sH using the same approach due to the analytical expression of the redistributed stress and the nature of the constitutive *** consideration of this issue,the horizontal stress ratio(sH/sh)is suggested as an alternative input,which could estimate both sH and sh with the same level of ***,the estimation accuracies for both large-scale and laboratory-scale breakouts are comparable,suggesting the applicability of this approach across different breakout *** breakout depth,conformal mapping and complex variable method were used to calculate the stress concentration around the breakout tip,allowing the expression of redistributed stresses using binomials composed of sH and ***,analysis of the breakout depth stabilisation mechanism indicates that additional parameters are required to utilise normalised breakout depth for stress estimation compared to breakout *** parameters are challenging to obtain,especially under field conditions,meaning utilising normalised breakout depth analytically in practical applications faces significant challenges and remains infeasible at this ***,the normalised breakout depth should still be considered a critical input for any empirical and statistical stres

Tip-enhanced nano-spectroscopy and-imaging have significantly advanced our understanding of low-dimensional quantum materials and their interactions with light,providing a rich insight into the underlying physics at their natural length ***,various functionalities of the plasmonic tip expand the capabilities of the nanoscopy,enabling dynamic manipulation of light-matter interactions at the *** this review,we focus on a new paradigm of the nanoscopy,shifting from the conventional role of imaging and spectroscopy to the dynamical control approach of the tip-induced light-matter *** present three different approaches of tip-induced control of light-matter interactions,such as cavity-gap control,pressure control,and near-field polarization ***,we discuss the nanoscale modifications of radiative emissions for various emitters from weak to strong coupling regime,achieved by the precise engineering of the ***,we introduce recent works on light-matter interactions controlled by tip-pressure and near-field polarization,especially tunability of the bandgap,crystal structure,photoluminescence quantum yield,exciton density,and energy transfer in a wide range of quantum *** envision that this comprehensive review not only contributes to a deeper understanding of the physics of nanoscale light-matter interactions but also offers a valuable resource to nanophotonics,plasmonics,and materials science for future technological advancements.

We investigated the role of metal atomization and solvent decomposition into reductive species and carbon clusters in the phase formation of transition-metal carbides(TMcs;namely,co_(3)c,Fe_(3)c,Tic,and Moc)by pulsed laser ablation of co,Fe,Ti,and Mo metals in *** interaction between carbon s-p-orbitals and metal d-orbitals causes a redistribution of valence structure through charge transfer,leading to the formation of surface defects as observed by X-ray photoelectron *** defects influence the evolved TMcs,making them effective for hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions(HER and OER)in an alkaline ***_(3)c with more oxygen affinity promoted coO(OH)intermediates,and the electrochemical surface oxidation to co_(3)O_(4)was captured via in situ/operando electrochemical Raman probes,increasing the number of active sites for OER *** with more d-vacancies exhibits strong hydrogen binding,promoting HER kinetics,whereas Fe_(3)c and Tic with more defect states to trap charge carriers may hinder both OER and HER *** results show that the assembled membrane-less electrolyzer with co_(3)c∥co_(3)c and Moc∥Moc electrodes requires~2.01 and 1.99 V,respectively,to deliver a 10 mA cm−2 with excellent electrochemical and structural *** addition,the ascertained pulsed laser synthesis mechanism and unit-cell packing relations will open up sustainable pathways for obtaining highly stable electrocatalysts for electrolyzers.

The electrocatalytic oxidation of biomass-derived furfural(FF)feedstocks into 2-furoic acid(FA)holds immense industrial potential in optics,cosmetics,polymers,and ***,we fabricated co O/Ni O/nickel foam(NF)and cu_(2)O/Ni O/NF electrodes via in situ pulsed laser irradiation in liquids(PLIL)for the bifunctional electrocatalysis of oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and furfural oxidation reaction(FOR),*** oxidation of NF surface to NiO and deposition of coO and/or cu_(2)O on NF during PLIL offer distinct advantages for enhancing both the OER and ***/NiO/NF electrocatalyst provides a consistently low overpotential of~359 m V(OER)at 10 m A/cm^(2),achieving the maximum FA yield(~16.37 m M)with 61.5%selectivity,79.5%carbon balance,and a remarkable Faradaic efficiency of~90.1%during 2 h of FOR at 1.43 V(*** hydrogen electrode).Mechanistic pathway via in situ electrochemical-Raman spectroscopy on coO/NiO/NF reveals the involvement of phase transition intermediates(NiOOH and coOOH)as surface-active centers during electrochemical *** carbonyl carbon in FF is attacked by hydroxyl groups to form unstable hydrates that subsequently undergo further oxidation to yield FA *** method holds promise for large-scale applications,enabling simultaneous production of renewable building materials and fuel.

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic autoimmune disease of the central nervous system and is generally considered to be a non-traumatic,physically debilitating neurological *** addition to experiencing motor disability,patients with multiple sclerosis also experience a variety of nonmotor symptoms,including cognitive deficits,anxiety,depression,sensory impairments,and ***,the pathogenesis and treatment of such non-motor symptoms in multiple scle rosis are still under *** studies for multiple sclerosis benefit from the use of disease-appropriate animal models,including experimental autoimmune *** to understanding the pathophysiology and developing treatments for non-motor symptoms,it is critical to chara cterize the animal model in terms of its ability to replicate certain non-motor features of multiple *** such,no single animal model can mimic the entire spectrum of *** review focuses on the non-motor symptoms that have been investigated in animal models of multiple sclerosis as well as possible underlying ***,we highlighted gaps in the literature to explain the nonmotor aspects of multiple sclerosis in expe rimental animal models,which will serve as the basis for future studies.

Long-read sequencing with nanopore technology has been widely utilized for the identification of the full-length sequence of RNA molecules."It is especially suitable for the identification of circular RNAs(circRNAs),which are regulatory molecules that are regarded as promising non-invasive biomarkers for various human malignancies,including breast cancer.2 The impact of circRNAs derived from the protein arginine methyltransferase 1(PRMT1)gene has not been clarified yet,even though the effect of PRMT1-mediated methylation on breast cancer cell characteristics has been well established.
