使用红外炉发展了一种从活化混凝土中提取氚的方法。通过研究氚的提取效率与加热温度、加热时间的关系,获得了氚的提取优化条件为在800℃下加热30 min,Ar气流量设置为200 mL/min。氚由两个冷凝管收集,然后装到1个小玻璃瓶中,与液体闪烁体混合,使用液体闪烁计数器计数。使用这种方法提取氚只需55 min。相对于使用电子炉提取氚的方法,氚的提取效率可达到100%。收集了两个加速器屏蔽体中的混凝土样品,测量了样品中的γ射线核素和氚的放射性比活度。结果显示,氚的比活度与152Eu和60Co的比活度有很强的相关性。可得出结论:氚主要产生于热中子俘获反应6Li(n,α)3H。因而,可使用60Co的放射性比活度简单估计活化的混凝土样品中氚的放射性比活度。

AIM:To compare the imo perimeter,a new portable head-mounted perimeter unit that enables both eyes to be examined quickly and simultaneously,with the Humphrey field analyzer(HFA)perimeter to investigate correlations and their diagnostic ability in glaucomatous ***:The performance of the equipment in 128 glaucomatous eyes and 40 normal eyes were *** investigated the correlations of mean deviation,pattern standard deviation,visual field index,and the ***:Measurements of mean deviation(r=0.886,P<0.001),pattern standard deviation(r=0.814,P<0.001),and visual field index(r=0.871,P<0.001)in both perimeters were strongly and positively *** sensitivities in the imo perimeter were 80.5%for mean deviation,81.2%for pattern standard deviation,and 80.5%in visual field index;those in the HFA were 63.3%for mean deviation,74.5%for pattern standard deviation,and 80.5%for visual field *** perimeters demonstrated high diagnostic ***:The parameters by the imo and HFA in glaucomatous eyes show strong positive correlations with favorable sensitivity,specificity,and diagnostic ***,the difference between imo and HFA results increases with the increase in visual field disturbance.

To the Editor:Obstructive jaundice due to unresectable malignant hilar obstruction can be treated by deployment of bilateral uncovered self-expandable metal stents(UCSEMSs),which enable longer stent patency to be obtained compared with multiple plastic stents[1-3].However,re-intervention is needed if obstructive jaundice occurs after bilateral UCSEMS *** re-intervention procedures,insertion of the stent delivery system across the mesh of a UCSEMS and into the bile duct can be challenging.A novel drill dilator has recently become available in Japan(Tornus ES;Asahi Intecc,Nagoya,Japan)(Fig.1)[4].The tract is easily dilated using a clockwise *** herein describe a successful re-intervention using this device for a patient with occluded bilateral UCSEMSs.

Background: Von Hippel–Lindau(VHL) syndrome is a dominantly inherited multisystem cancer syndrome caused by a heterozygous mutation in the VHL tumor suppressor gene. Previous studies suggested that similar populations of Caucasian and Japanese patients have similar genotype or phenotype characteristics. In this comprehensive study of East Asian patients, we investigated the genetic and clinical characteristics of patients with VHL ***: To create a registry of clinical characteristics and mutations reported in East Asian patients with VHL syndrome, we conducted a comprehensive review of English language and non?English language articles identi?fied through a literature search. Publications in Japanese or Chinese language were read by native speakers of the language, who then performed the data ***: Of 237 East Asian patients with VHL syndrome, 154 unique kindreds were identified for analysis. Analyzed by kindred, missense mutations were the most common(40.9%, 63/154), followed by large/complete deletions(32.5%, 50/154) and nonsense mutations(11.7%, 18/154). Compared with a previously reported study of both East Asian and non?East Asian patients, we found several key differences. Vascular malformations occur most frequently in the maxillofacial and oral regions. Although many cases of vascular malformations with phlebolithiasis have been reported, only few reports have documented cases of thrombosis formation. We report a rare case of a vascular malformation with multiple thromboses in the left buccal region. A 28-year-old woman had a painless swelling in the left cheek when she consulted our hospital. T1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging revealed a low-signal lesion, having the same intensity as the muscle, in the left buccal region, and T2-weighted imaging revealed a high-signal lesion. Additionally, three tuberous tumours were noted in this lesion showing both a light high signal on T1-weighted imaging and a low signal on T2-weighted imaging. Based on these imaging findings, as well as clinical and pathological findings, the patient was diagnosed with multiple vascular malformations in the left midfacial region. The three tuberous tumours showed necrotic tissue in the central area, which was formed by calcified and concentric fibrous tissue, and vascularization. Because tumorous lesion and typical vascular structure by the Elastica Van Gieson staining were not observed, these tumours were seemed that fibrin thrombus in this lesion formed the organized tissue.

Ameloblastoma is an odontogenic tumor of high frequency and usually occurs as an intraosseous growth. Ameloblastomas frequently recur, sometimes undergoing malignant transformation. These tumors are usually characterized as being multilocular, of the follicular type histopathologically, and invading strongly at the border region of the tumor. More than 10% p53-positive tumor cells give a prognostic indication for a tendency to recur. A recurrent ameloblastoma usually occurs in the intraosseous region near the site of the original lesion. In very rare cases, a recurrent tumor proliferates distantly from the original site in the soft tissue only. We report a rare case of recurrent ameloblastoma in the buccal mucosa with a mucocele that originated from the small salivary glands after the extirpation of an intraosseous (mandibular) ameloblastoma. We also performed a p53 immunohistochemical study of this recurrent tumor.
