Nanocrystalline lithium iron oxide LiFeO2 was synthesized using sol-gel method. Rietveld analysis was performed to confirm the different phases associated in the formation of LiFeO2. Quantitative Rietveld refinement revealed that sample contains: 39.9 wt% of cubic α – LiFeO2 phase, 58.5 wt% of monoclinic β - LiFeO2 and tetragonal 1.7 wt%. of γ - LiFeO2. The nanocrystalline nature of the prepared samples was confirmed by SEM analysis. The magnetic properties of LiFeO2 showed ferromagnetic property at room temperature.

Ni-Zn ferrite with composition of Ni1-xZnxFe2O4 (x = 0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 0.9, 1.0) were prepared by citrate gel method. The Dielectric Properties for all the samples were investigated at room temperature as a function of frequency. The dielectric constant shows dispersion in the lower frequency region and remains almost constant at higher frequencies. The frequency dependence of dielectric loss tangent (tan δ) is found to be abnormal, giving a peak.at certain frequency for mixed Ni-Zn ferrites. A qualitative explanation is given for the composition and frequency dependence of the dielectric loss tangent.

We quantified species diversity of birds in mangroves at k.ndapura from April-2010 to March-2013. We recorded 79 species of 36 families and 14 orders. Of these 71% are resident species, 22% are residential migrants and 8% are migratory. One endangered species, three near threatened species, and a few occasional visitors were re-corded. Species diversity and abundance of birds were greater during from October through May as there was availability of food, increased vegetation and the arrival of migratory birds. Minimum diversity was recorded from June through September owing to heavy rains, increased flow of water, limited availability of food and return of migratory birds.

Properties of bottomonium in a semi-relativistic model

Using a semi-relativistic potential model we investigate the spectra and decays of the bottomonium （bbˉ） system. The Hamiltonian of our model consists of a relativistic k.netic energy term, a vector Coulomb-lik. potential and a scalar confining potential. Using this Hamiltonian, we obtain a spinless wave equation, which is then reduced to the form of a single particle Schrodinger equation. The spin dependent potentials are introduced as a perturbation. The three-dimensional harmonic oscillator wave function is employed as a trial wave function and the bbˉ mass spectrum is obtained by the variational method. The model parameters and the wave function that reproduce the the bbˉ spectrum are then used to investigate some of their decay properties. The results obtained are then compared with the experimental data and with the predictions of other theoretical models.

Using the phenomenological relativistic harmonic model （RHM） for quark., we have obtained the masses of S wave charmonium states. The full Hamiltonian used in the investigation has Lorentz scalar plus vector confinement potential, along with the confined one gluon exchange potential （COGEP）. A good agreement with the experimental masses for the ground state and the radially excited states is obtained for both the triplet and singlet S wave mesons. The calculated charge radii, meson decay constants, leptonic decay width, two photon decay width, and the radiative M1 decay width are in good agreement with the experimental results.

BACk.ROUND Internal hernia(IH)is a rare culprit of small bowel obstruction(SBO)with an incidence ofk.ow,India between September 2010 and August 2023 were *** Out of 586 patients,7(1.2%)were diagnosed with *** these,4 had congenital IH and 3 had acquired *** male-to-female ratio was 4:*** median age at presentation was 32 ***-enhanced computed tomography(CECT)was the most reliable investigation for preoperative identification,demonstrating mesenteric whirling and clumped-up bowel *** paraduodenal hernia and transmesenteric hernia occurred with an equal frequency(approximately 43%each).Intraoperatively,one patient was found to have bowel ischemia and one had associated malrotation of *** follow-up,no recurrences were *** IH,being a rare cause,must be considered as a differential diagnosis for SBO,especially in young patients in their 30s or with unexplained abdominal pain or discomfort post-surgery.A rapid imaging evaluation,preferably with CECT,is necessary to aid in an early diagnosis and prompt intervention,thereby reducing financial burden related to unnecessary investigations and preventing the morbidity and mortality associated with closed-loop obstruction and strangulation of the bowel.

The mass spectrum of the S-wave mesons is considered in the frame work.of relativistic harmonic model （RHM）. The full Hamiltonian used in the investigation has the Lorentz scalar plus a vector harmonic-oscillator potential, the confined-one-gluon-exchange potential （COGEP） and the instanton-induced quark.antiquak.interaction （Ⅲ）. A good description of the mass spectrum is obtained. The respective role of Ⅲ and COGEP in the S-wave meson spectrum is discussed.
