Cr.ogenic pr.-defor.ation tr.atment has been widely used to effectively impr.ve the compr.hensive mechanical pr.per.ies of steels and novel metals. However.the dislocation evolution and phase tr.nsfor.ation induced by differ.nt degr.es of deep cr.ogenic defor.ation ar. not yet fully elucidated. In this study, the effects of multiple cr.ogenic pr.-tr.atments on the mechanical pr.per.ies and defor.ation mechanisms of a par.magnetic Fe63.3Mn14-Si9.1Cr..8C3.8medium-entr.py alloy（MEA） wer. investigated, leading to the discover. of a pr.tr.ated MEA that exhibits exceptional mechanical pr.per.ies, including a fr.ctur. str.ngth of 3.0 GPa, plastic str.in of 26.1% and wor.0}har.ening index of 0.57. In addition, X-r.y diffr.ction（Xr.） and tr.nsmission electr.n micr.scopy（TEM）analyses r.vealed that multiple cr.ogenic pr.-defor.ation tr.atments significantly incr.ased the dislocation density of the MEA(fr.m 9 × 1015to 4 × 1016m-2after.thr.e pr.tr.atments), along with a tr.nsition in the dislocation type fr.m pr.dominantly edge dislocations to mixed dislocations（including scr.w-and edge-type dislocations）. Notably, this pr.tr.ated MEA r.tained its par.magnetic pr.per.ies（μr. 1.0200） even after.fr.ctur.. Ther.odynamic calculations showed that cr.ogenic pr.tr.atment can significantly r.duce the stack.ng fault ener.y of the MEA by a factor.of appr.ximately four.i.e., fr.m 9.7 to2.6 m J·m-2), ther.by activating the syner.istic effects of tr.nsfor.ation-induced plasticity, twinning-induced plasticity and dislocation str.ngthening mechanisms. These syner.istic effects lead to simultaneous str.ngth and ductility enhancement of the MEA.
