A superconducting coil system is actually complicated by the distributed parameters, e.g. the distributed mutual inductance among turns and the distributed capacitance between adjacent conductors. In this paper, such a complicated system was modeled with a reasonably simplified circuit network.with lumped parameters. Then, a detailed circuit analysis was conducted to evaluate the possible voltage transient in the coil circuit. As a result, an appropriate （minimum） snubber capacitance for the Switching Network.Unit, which is a fast high voltage generation circuit in JT-60SA, was obtained.

The phenc, lic compounds found in mango fruit are antioxidants, and contribute to a reduction in the risk.of cardiovascular diseases. Mango carotenoids are synthesized in mango fruit during ripening. A major by-product of mango fruit is the sk.n, which is available after the fruits is consumed or used, particularly in the preparation of jams and fruit juices by the fruit canning industry. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of dietary mango sk.n （MS） or mango sk.n combined with paprik. extracts （PE） on production performance, egg quality, and egg yolk.polyphenols. Total of 60 44-week.old Boris Brown hens was assigned, based on egg production rate and body weight, to 6 groups （10 birds in each group）. The laying hens were fed a basal diet （control group, 18 CP, 2,800 k.al/k. ME）, a basal diet supplemented with 0.1% PE, 1% or 5% MS, or with a mixture of 0.1% PE with 1% or 5% MS respectively. During the three-week.experimental feeding period, the birds had free access to feed and water. Feed consumption was measured week.y and egg production was recorded daily. The results for initial body weight, feed consumption, hen-day production, egg mass, mortality, and final body weight did not indicate any effects of the different treatments （P 〉 0.05）. There were no significant differences （P 〉 0.05） in shell-break.ng strength, shell thick.ess, shell ratio, yolk.ratio or Haugh units, except in the case of egg yolk.color. Roche yolk.color fan scores were better in all experimental groups than in the control （P 〈 0.0001）. The yolk.color, yellow index, and ratio of redness to yellowness were greater （P 〈 0.0001） in the 0.1% PE, the 0.1% PE ＋ 1% MS, and the 0.1% PE ＋ 5% MS group than in the 1%, 5% MS, and control groups. Compared with the control, lightness was decreased significantly in the 0.1% PE, the 0.1% PE ＋ 1% MS, and the 0.1% PE ＋ 5% MS groups （P 〈 0.05）, whereas redness was increased significantly in the 0.1% PE, 0.1% PE ＋ 1% MS, and 0.1% PE ＋ 5% MS

Many k.nds of feed additives （e.g., probiotics, prebiotics, antibiotics, etc.） can be used in chick.n diets to stimulate intestinal morphological maturation and, consequently, intestinal function. The aim of this trial was to investigate the possibility that natural zeolite including plant extract （ZEM） could encourage the hypertrophy of intestinal villi and the absorptive function of epithelial cells in broiler chick.ns. At 7 days old, 64 male Marshall Chunk. broilers were divided into four groups, each with four replicates of four chick.ns. The birds were fed a basal mash diet supplemented with ZEM at 0% （control）, 0.05%, 0.1%, and 0.2% for 42 days. At 49 days old, four chick.ns from each treatment were k.lled to obtain intestinal samples. Morphological intestinal assessment was conducted using both a light and a scanning electron microscope. A tendency to increased villus height and cell area could be observed throughout the intestinal segments of the broilers fed ZEM. Particularly, the villus height in the duodenum was significantly increased （P 〈 0.05） in the 0.05% ZEM group when compared with the control group. The area of the villus cells tended to be higher in the ZEM groups in all intestinal regions and showed a significant increase （P 〈 0.05） in the ileal part of the 0.2% ZEM group. Also, the assessment of cells mitosis in the intestinal crypts showed significantly higher numbers （P 〈 0.05） in all levels of ZEM groups in the duodenum and a tendency to increase in value in the jejunum and ileum, as compared with the control group. More protuberated cells and multi-cell clusters were found in the ZEM groups than in the control group, resulting in a rough cellular surface. In conclusion, the present study might suggest that the intestinal villi and epithelial cells on the villus apical surface are hypertrophied in the ZEM groups, and that intestinal villi adapt to enhance their absorption capacity by increasing the absorptive surface area. This paper describes a conceptual design study for the circuit configuration of the Error Field Correction Coil （EFCC） power supply （PS） to maximize the expected performance with reasonable cost in JT-60SA. The EFCC consists of eighteen sector coils installed inside the vacuum vessel, six in the toroidal direction and three in the poloidal direction, each one rated for 30 k.-turn. As a result, star point connection is proposed for each group of six EFCC coils installed cyclically in the toroidal direction for decoupling with poloidal field coils. In addition~ a six phase inverter which is capable of controlling each phase current was chosen as PS topology to ensure higher flexibility of operation with reasonable cost.

Ioxynil, a phenolic herbicide, is k.own to exert thyroid hormone （TH） disrupting activity by interfering with TH-binding to plasma proteins and a step of the cellular TH-signaling pathway in restricted animal species. However, comparative studies are still lack.ng on the TH disruption. We investigated the interaction of [125I] ioxynil with serum proteins from rainbow trout, bullfrog, chick.n, pig, rat, and mouse, using native polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Candidate ioxynil-binding proteins, which included lipoproteins, albumin and transthyretin （TTR）, differed among the vertebrates tested. Rainbow trout and bullfrog tadpole serum had the lowest binding activity for ioxynil, whereas the eutherian serum had the highest binding activity. The cellular uptak. of, and response to, ioxynil were suppressed by rat serum greater than by tadpole serum. The cellular uptak. of [125I]ioxynil competed strongly with phenols with a single ring, but not with THs. Our results suggested that ioxynil interferes with TH homeostasis in plasma and with a step of cellular TH-signaling pathway other than TH-uptak. system, in a species-specific manner.

Deuterium Retention and Physical Sputtering of Low Activation Ferritic Steel

Low activation materials have to be developed toward fusion demonstrationreactors. Ferritic steel, vanadium alloy and SiC/SiC composite are candidate materials of the firstwall, vacuum vessel and blank.t components, respectively. Although changes of mechanical-thermalproperties owing to neutron irradiation have been investigated so far, there is little data for theplasma material interactions, such as fuel hydrogen retention and erosion. In the present study,deuterium retention and physical sputtering of low activation ferritic steel, F82H, wereinvestigated by using deuterium ion irradiation apparatus. After a ferritic steel sample wasirradiated by 1.7 k.V D^+ ions, the weight loss was measured to obtain the physical sputteringyield. The sputtering yield was 0.04, comparable to that of stainless steel. In order to obtain theretained amount of deuterium, technique of thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS) was employed to theirradiated sample. The retained deuterium desorbed at temperature ranging from 450 k.to 700 k. inthe forms of DHO, D_2, D_2O and hydrocarbons. Hence, the deuterium retained can be reduced by bak.ngwith a relatively low temperature. The fluence dependence of retained amount of deuterium wasmeasured by changing the ion fluence. In the ferritic steel without mechanical polish, the retainedamount was large even when the fluence was low. In such a case, a large amount of deuterium wastrapped in the surface oxide layer containing O and C. When the fluence was large, the thick.ess ofsurface oxide layer was reduced by the ion sputtering, and then the retained amount in the oxidelayer decreased. In the case of a high fluence, the retained amount of deuterium became comparableto that of ferritic steel with mechanical polish or SS 316 L, and one order of magnitude smallerthan that of graphite. X-ray CT scanners,due to the transmissive nature of X-rays,have enabled the non-destructive evaluation of industrial products,even inside their *** light of its effectiveness,this study introduces a new approach to accelerate the inspection of many mechanical parts with the same shape in a *** input to this problem is a volumetric image(i.e.,CT volume)of many parts obtained by a single CT *** need to segment the parts in the volume to inspect each of them;however,random postures and dense contacts of the parts prohibit part segmentation using traditional template *** address this problem,we convert both the scanned volumetric images of the template and the binned parts to simpler graph structures and solve a subgraph matching problem to segment the *** perform a distance transform to convert the CT volume into a distance ***,we construct a graph based on Morse theory,in which graph nodes are located at the extremum points of the distance *** experimental evaluation demonstrates that our fully automatic approach can detect target parts appropriately,even for a heap of 50 ***,the overall computation can be performed in approximately 30 min for a large CT volume of approximately 2000×2000×1000 voxels.
