Process synthesis for the separation of coal-to-ethanol products

The coal-to-ethanol process,as the clean coal utilization,faces challenges from the energy-intensive distillation that separates multi-component effluents for pure *** to at least eight columns,the synthesis of the ethanol distillation system is impracticable for exhaustive comparison and difficult for conventional superstructure-based optimization as rigorous models are *** work.adopts a superstructure-based framework.which combines the strategy that adaptively selects branches of the state-equipment network.and the parallel stochastic algorithm for process ***-performance computing significantly reduces time consumption,and the adaptive strategy substantially lowers the complexity of the superstructure ***,parallel computing,elite search,population redistribution,and retention strategies for irrelevant parameters are used to improve the optimization efficiency *** optimization terminates after 3000 generations,providing a flowsheet solution that applies two non-sharp splitting options in its distillation *** a result,the 59-dimension superstructure-based optimization was solved efficiently via a differential evolution algorithm,and a high-quality solution with a 28.34%lower total annual cost than the benchmark.was ***,the solution of the superstructure-based optimization is comparable to that obtained by optimizing a single specific configuration one by *** indicates that the superstructure-based optimization that combines the adaptive strategy can be a promising approach to handling the process synthesis of large-scale and complex chemical processes.

Prediction of lime utilization ratio of dephosphorization in BOF steelmak.ng based on online sequential extreme learning machine with forgetting mechanism

The machine learning models of multiple linear regression(MLR),support vector regression(SVR),and extreme learning ma-chine(ELM)and the proposed ELM models of online sequential ELM(OS-ELM)and OS-ELM with forgetting mechanism(FOS-ELM)are applied in the prediction of the lime utilization ratio of dephosphorization in the basic oxygen furnace steelmak.ng *** ELM model exhibites the best performance compared with the models of MLR and ***-ELM and FOS-ELM are applied for sequential learning and model *** optimal number of samples in validity term of the FOS-ELM model is determined to be 1500,with the smallest population mean absolute relative error(MARE)value of 0.058226 for the *** variable importance analysis reveals lime weight,initial P content,and hot metal weight as the most important variables for the lime utilization *** lime utilization ratio increases with the decrease in lime weight and the increases in the initial P content and hot metal weight.A prediction system based on FOS-ELM is applied in actual industrial production for one *** hit ratios of the predicted lime utilization ratio in the error ranges of±1%,±3%,and±5%are 61.16%,90.63%,and 94.11%,*** coefficient of determination,MARE,and root mean square error are 0.8670,0.06823,and 1.4265,*** system exhibits desirable performance for applications in actual industrial pro-duction.

Resilient performance of self-centering hybrid rock.ng walls with curved interface under pseudo-static loading

Frame and rock.ng wall(FRW)structures have excellent resilient performance during ***,the concrete at interfacial corners of rock.ng walls(RWs)is easily crushed due to local extreme compression during the rock.ng *** innovative RW with a curved interface is proposed to prevent interfacial corners from producing local damage,enhancing its earthquak. resilient performance(ERP).The precast wall panel with a curved interface is assembled into an integral self-centering hybrid rock.ng wall(SCRW)by two post-tensioned unbonded prestressed ***,two ordinary energy dissipation steel rebars and two shear reinforcements are arranged to increase the energy dissipation capacity and lateral *** SCRW specimens and one monolithic reinforced concrete(RC)shear wall(SW)were tested under pseudo-static loading to compare the ERPs of the proposed SCRW and the SW,focusing on studying the effect of the curved interface on the *** k.y resilient performance of rock.ng effects,failure modes,and hysteretic properties of the SCRW were *** results show that nonlinear deformations of the SCRW are concentrated along the interface between the SCRW and the foundation,avoiding damage within the *** restoring force provided by the prestressed tendons can effectively realize self-centering capacity with small residual deformation,and the resilient performance of the SCRW is better than that of monolithic *** addition,the curved interface of the SCRW mak.s the rock.ng center change and move inward,partially relieving the stress concentration and crush of *** rock.ng range of the rock.ng center is about 41.4%of the width of the SCRW.

Apatite Fission Track.Thermochronology of Granite from the Xiazhuang Uranium Ore Field,South China:Implications for Exhumation History and Ore Preservation

Xiazhuang uranium ore field,located in the southern part of the Nanling Metallogenic Belt,is considered one of the largest granite-related U regions in South *** this paper,we contribute new apatite fission track.data and thermal history modeling to constrain the exhumation history and evaluate preservation potential of the Xiazhuang Uranium ore *** Triassic outcrop granite samples collected from different locations of Xiazhuang Uranium ore field yield AFT ages ranging from 43 to 24 Ma with similar mean confined fission track.lengths ranging from 11.8±2.0 to 12.9±1.9μm and Dpar values between 1.01 and 1.51μ*** robustness time-temperature reconstructions of samples from the hanging wall of Huangpi fault show that the Xiazhuang Uranium ore field experienced a time of monotonous and slow cooling starting from middle Paleocene to middle Miocene(~60-10 Ma),followed by relatively rapid exhumation in the late Miocene(~10-5 Ma)and nearly thermal stability in the Pliocene-Quaternary(~5-0 Ma).The amount of exhumation after U mineralization since the Middle Paleogene was estimated as~4.3±1.8 k. according to the integrated thermal history *** studies indicate that the ore-forming ages of U deposits in the Xiazhuang ore field are mainly before Middle Paleocene and the mineralization depths are more than 4.4±1.2 ***,the exhumation history since middle Paleocene plays important roles in the preservation of the Xiazhuang Uranium ore field.

The escalating electromagnetic(EM)pollution issues and the demand to elevate military stealth technology mak. it imperative to develop cost-effective and high-performance electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorbing *** this paper,the flower-lik. CuS/γ-Fe_(2)O_(3) van der Waals(vdW)heterostructures have been synthesized via a facile two-step solvothermal *** flower-lik. CuS sk.leton increases the attenuation path of EMW while reducing the material *** contents ofγ-Fe_(2)O_(3) nanoparticles anchor between the flower-lik. CuS nanosheets to constitute a heterogeneous structure,which enables dielectric and magnetic loss synergistically to optimize impedance matching and remark.bly improve the EMW absorption *** minimum reflection loss(RLmin)is-49.36 dB with a thick.ess of only 1.6 mm and the effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)reaches 4.64 GHz(13.36–18 GHz).By adjusting the thick.ess of the absorber,the EAB can cover 96%of the GHz ***,the superior absorption of-61.53 dB at middle frequency band can be obtained by adjusting the amount of Fe_(2)O_(3) *** this study,the adjustment of EM parameters and the optimization of impedance matching have been achieved by constructing a novel vdW heterogeneous structure,which provides fresh ideas and references for the design of high-performance EMW absorbing materials.

Based on the building principle of additive manufacturing,printing orientation mainly determines the tribological properties of joint *** this study,we created a polyether-ether-k.tone(PEEk.joint prosthesis using fused filament fabrication and investigated the effects of printing orientation on its tribological properties using a pin-on-plate tribometer in 25% newborn calf *** ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene transfer film is formed on the surface of PEEk.due to the mechanical capture of wear debris by the 3D-printed groove morphology,which is significantly impacted by the printing orientation of *** the printing orientation was parallel to the sliding direction of friction,the number and size of the transfer film increased due to higher steady *** transfer film protected the matrix and reduced the friction coefficient and wear rate of friction pairs by 39.13%and 74.33%,***,our findings provide a novel perspective regarding the role of printing orientation in designing k.ee prostheses,facilitating its practical applications.

Hierarchical Spinning of Janus Textiles with Anisotropic Wettability for Wound Healing

Wound healing and tissue repair are recognized as basic human health problems *** to accelerate the reparative process are focused on developing functional wound ***,we present novel Janus textiles with anisotropic wettability from hierarchical microfluidic spinning for wound *** hydrophilic hydrogel microfibers from microfluidics are woven into textiles for freeze-drying treatment,followed by the deposition of electrostatic spinning nanofibers composed of hydrophobic polylactic acid(PLA)and silver *** electrospun nanofiber layer can be well coupled with the hydrogel microfiber layer to generate Janus textiles with anisotropic wettability due to the roughness of the hydrogel textile surface and the incomplete evaporation of PLA solution when reaching the *** wound treatment with the hydrophobic PLA side contacting the wound surface,the wound exudate can be pumped from the hydrophobic to the hydrophilic side based on the wettability differential derived drainage *** this process,the hydrophobic side of the Janus textile can prevent excess fluid from infiltrating the wound again,preventing excessive moisture and preserving the breathability of the *** addition,the silver nanoparticles contained in the hydrophobic nanofibers could impart the textiles with good antibacterial effect,which further promote the wound healing *** features indicate that the described Janus fiber textile has great application potential in the field of wound treatment.

Recursive filtering of multi-rate cyber-physical systems with unk.own inputs under adaptive event-triggered mechanisms

Cyber-physical systems(CPSs)tak. on the characteristics of both multiple rates of information collection and processing and the dependency on information *** purpose of this paper is to develop a joint recursive filtering scheme that estimates both unk.own inputs and system states for multi-rate CPSs with unk.own *** cyberspace,the information transmission between the local joint filter and the sensors is governed by an adaptive event-triggered ***,the desired parameters of joint filters are determined by a set of algebraic matrix equations in a recursive way,and a sufficient condition verifying the boundedness of filtering error covariance is found by resorting to some algebraic operation.A state fusion estimation scheme that uses local state estimation is proposed based on the covariance intersection(CI)based fusion ***,an illustrative example demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed adaptive event-triggered recursive filtering algorithm.
