This study explores the effects of electro-magneto-hydrodynamics,Hall currents,and convective and slip boundary conditions on the peristaltic propulsion of nanofluids(considered as couple stress nanofluids)through porous symmetric *** phenomena of energy and mass transfer are considered under thermal radiation and heat source/*** governing equations are modeled and non-dimensionalized under appropriate dimensionless *** resulting system is solved numerically with MATHEMATICA(with an in-built function,namely the Runge-k.tta scheme).Graphical results are presented for various fluid flow quantities,such as the velocity,the nanoparticle temperature,the nanoparticle concentration,the sk.n friction,the nanoparticle heat transfer coefficient,the nanoparticle concentration coefficient,and the trapping *** results indicate that the nanoparticle heat transfer coefficient is enhanced for the larger values of thermophoresis ***,an intriguing phenomenon is observed in trapping:the trapped bolus is expanded with an increase in the Hartmann ***,the bolus size decreases with the increasing values of both the Darcy number and the electroosmotic parameter.

Friction stir lap welds were produced in 3 mm thick.Alclad sheets of Al alloy 2014-T4 using two different tools （with triangular and threaded taper cylindrical pins）. The effects of tool geometry on weld microstructure, lap-shear performance and failure mode were investigated. The pin profile was found to significantly influence the hook.geometry, which in turn strongly influenced the joint strength and the failure mode. Welds produced in alloy 2014-T4 Alclad sheets by using triangular and threaded taper cylindrical tools exhibited an average lap-shear failure load of 16.5 and 19.5 k., respectively, while the average failure load for standard riveted joints was only 3.4 k.. Welds produced in alloy 2014-T6 Alclad sheets and in alloy 2014-T4 bare sheets （i.e., no Alclad） were comparatively evaluated with those produced in alloy 2014-T4 Alclad sheets. While the welds made （with threaded taper cylindrical tool） in T6 and T4 conditions showed very similar lap-shear failure loads, the joint efficiency of the welds made in T6 condition （43%） was considerably lower （because of the higher base material strength） than those made in T4 condition （51%）. The Alclad layers were found to present no special problems in friction stir lap welding. Welds made with triangular tool in alloy 2014-T4 Alclad and bare sheets showed very similar lap-shear failure loads. The present work.provides some useful insights into the use of friction stir welding for joining Al alloys in lap configuration.

The cysteine-rich secretory proteins （CRISPs） are a subgroup of the CRISP, antigen 5 and Pr-1 （CAP） protein superfamily, and are found only in vertebrates. They show a strong expression bias to the mammalian male reproductive tract and the venom of poisonous reptiles. Within the male reproductive tract CRISPs have been implicated in many aspects of male germ cell biology spanning haploid germ cell development, epididymal maturation, capacitation, motility and the actual processes of fertilization. At a structural level, CRISPs are composed of two domains, a CAP domain, which has been implicated in cell-cell adhesion, and a CRISP domain, which has been shown to regulate several classes of ion channels across multiple species. Herein, we will review the current literature on the role of CRISPs in male fertility, and by inference to related non-mammalian protein, infer potential biochemical functions.

Strong shock.wave interactions with ceramic material ceria(CeO_(2))in presence of O_(2)and N2 gases were investigated using free piston driven shock.tube(FPST).FPST is used to heat the test gas to very high temperature of about 6800-7700 k.estimated)at pressure of about 6.8-7.2 MPa for short duration(2-4 ms)behind the reflected shock.*** is subjected to super heating and cooling at the rate of about 106 k.*** of CeO_(2)sample was done before and after exposure to shock.heated test gases(O_(2)and N2).The surface composition,crystal structure,electronic structure and surface morphology of CeO_(2)ceramic were examined using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectrometry,scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM).Results obtained from the experimental investigations show that CeO_(2)can withstand high pressure accompanied by thermal shock.without changing its crystal *** CeO_(2)releases lattice oxygen mak.ng it possible to shift between reduced and oxidized states upon the interaction with shock.heated *** to such reaction mechanism,CeO_(2)ceramic undergoes nitrogen doping with decrease in lattice *** reveal that CeO_(2)retains its crystal structure during strong shock.interaction,even at elevated pressure.

Alumina thin films were deposited on fused quartz and SS304 substrate by pulsed rf magnetron sputtering with both direct and reactive methods. The films were characterised by energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy to reveal the microstructure, surface morphology and topography of thin films. Transmittance and reflectance of alumina thin film were evaluated after deposition on the quartz substrate. Transmittance of the quartz remains almost un-altered when alumina was deposited by the reactive sputtering. A marginal decrease of ~4% in the transmittance of quartz was, however, observed after deposition of alumina by direct sputtering. Infrared emittance of the substrate also remains almost constant after deposition of thin alumina film. Further, as-deposited alumina on SS304 obtained by both direct and reactive sputtering process was amorphous in nature. However, after annealing crystalline peak. were observed.

This paper synthesizes the extent and nature of scientific information about how dredging activities potentially affect habitats and k.y ecological functions supporting recruitment and sustainability of estuarine and marine environment. Fourteen samples were collected after dredging （2008） from fixed sampling stations. The impact on community was estimated at species level （Foraminifera, Protozoan, using statistical analysis）. The maximum negative effect on benthic foraminifera was reduction by 60%, for species richness and by 50% for diversity. This data were compared with the data obtained before dredging （2006） in a time services spanning 2 years. Its revealed that reestablishment of directly with in less than 3 months of the end of dredging, although affected foraminifera and of physico-chemical substrate characteristic 2 years later there was a considerable improvement of whole faunal community. Statistical treatment was given to the data sets to k.ow the relation among parameters. Before, this type of activity is undertak.n, each case should be studied regarding viability, the environmental medium where it will tak. place, the best time of year, and the type of dredging to be used. Small-patch dredging operations are proposed when ever possible, since they allow a quick.readjustment of the initial sediment structure and benthic foraminifera. These findings will help to underpin improved planning of management strategies for dredging operations in India and other countries.

Efforts have been made to evaluate the influences of the addition of nanoparticles on the strength,durability and mineralogical changes of high strength concrete(HSC).Therefore,mixes were prepared for conventional concrete mix(CCM)of M80 ***,various mixes were prepared by replacing cementitious materials initially with 1%Nano-CaCO_(3)(NC),2%NC,3%NC in the CCM,and then 1%NC and Nano-SiO_(2)(NS)NS,2%NC and NS,3%NC and NS(NC and NS were in equal proportion)in the *** developed concretes were then evaluated for mechanical properties,permeation characteristics,and mineralogical *** the studies,it is found that the concrete at 2%NCS possesses superior mechanical and superior permeation characteristics of all the mixes.A clear variation in the mineralogical structure with the addition of nanoparticles has been observed.

In this work.we propose a stateless block.hain called CompactChain,which compacts the entire state of the UTXO(Unspent Transaction Output)based block.hain systems into two RSA *** first accumulator is called Transaction Output(TXO)commitment which represents the TXO *** second one is called Spent Transaction Output(STXO)commitment which represents the STXO *** this work.we discuss three algorithms:(i)To update the TXO and STXO commitments by the *** miner also provides the proofs for the correctness of the updated commitments;(ii)To prove the transaction’s validity by providing a membership witness in TXO commitment and non-membership witness against STXO commitment for a coin being spent by a user;(iii)To update the witness for the coin that is not yet spent;The experimental results evaluate the performance of the CompactChain in terms of time tak.n by a miner to update the commitments and time tak.n by a validator to verify the commitments and validate the *** compare the performance of CompactChain with the existing state-of-the-art work. on stateless *** shows a reduction in commitments update complexity and transaction witness size which inturn reduces the mempool size and propagation latency without compromising the system throughput(Transactions per second(TPS)).
