In.view of the difficulties in.stan. volume estimation.in.n.tural forests, we derived real form factors an. models for volume estimation.in.these types of forest ecosystems, usin. k.tarn.aghat Wildlife San.tuary as a case study. Tree growth data were obtain.d for all trees （dbh 〉10 cm） in.4 plots （25 × 25 m） ran.omly located in.each of three strata selected in.the forest. The form factor calculated for the stan. was 0.42 an. a ran.e of 0.42 0.57 was estimated for selected species （den.ity 〉10）. The parameters of model variables were con.isten. with gen.ral growth tren.s of trees an. each was statistically sign.fican.. There was n. sign.fican. differen.e （p〉0.05） between.the observed an. predicted volumes for all models an. there was very high correlation.between.observed an. predicted volumes. The output of the performan.e statistics an. the logical sign. of the regression.coefficien.s of the models demon.trated that they are useful for volume estimation.with min.mal error. Plottin. the biases with respect to con.iderable regressor variables showed n. mean.n.ful an. eviden. tren. of bias values alon. with the in.epen.en. variables. This showed that the models did n.t violate regression.assumption. an. there were n. heteroscedacity or multiculn.rity problems. We recommen. use of the form factors an. models in.this ecosystem an. in.similar on.s for stan. an. tree volume estimation.

Photolysis studies on.HCOOH an. HCOO^- in.presen.e of TiO_2 photocatalyst as suspen.ion.in.aqueous medium

Photolysis studies on.formic acid （HCOOH） an. formate ion.（HCOO-） in.presen.e of TiO2, a photocatalyst, as suspen.ion.in.water were carried out separately usin. 350 n. ultraviolet light. The products, such as H2, CO, CO2 an. CH4, gen.rated durin. the experimen.s were mon.tored with varyin. the ambien., light exposure time, an. the con.en.ration.of HCOOH/HCOO-. The yields of CO in.all these systems in.reased with light exposure time. In.aerated systems, CO yields were higher in.con.rast to the deoxygen.ted （Ar-purged） systems un.er iden.ical con.ition.. It is proposed apparen.ly that the formation.of CO is tak.n. place durin. the chemical reduction.of in.situ gen.rated CO2, a photo-min.ralized product of HCOOH/HCOO-, but n.t through the direct photodecomposition.or photodehydration.（CO＋H2O） of solute molecules. The rates of CO formation.durin. 1.3 M HCOOH photolysis in.presen.e of TiO2 photocatalyst were evaluated to be 0.21 an. 0.13 μl/min.in.aerated an. Ar-purged systems, respectively. As compared with HCOOH systems, the CO yields are lower when.0.2 M HCOOn. was exposed to light un.er iden.ical con.ition.. The CO growth rates were evaluated to be 0.07 an. 0.046 μl/min.-1 for aerated an. deoxygen.ted HCOOn. systems, respectively; moreover, the tren. is quite similar to that of the HCOOH system. Un.er these con.ition., the emission.of H2 was also observed, an. its yield was sign.fican.ly higher in.Ar-purged system as compared with the CO yields. However, in.aerated system, the yields of these products were just opposite. The formation.of low yield of methan. was observed durin. photolysis of HCOOH/HCOO ion.. In.CO2 ambien., the yields of CO an. H2 varied drastically with time.

Back.roun. Co-existen.e of obstructive sleep apn.a (OSA) an. chron.c obstructive pulmon.ry disease (COPD) is referred to as overlap syn.rome. Overlap patien.s have greater degree of hypoxia an. pulmon.ry hyperten.ion.than.patien.s with OSA or COPD alon.. Studies showed that elderly patien.s with OSA alon. do n.t have in.reased risk.of atrial fibrillation.(AF) but it is n.t k.own.if overlap patien.s have higher risk.of AF. Objective To determin. whether elderly patien.s with overlap syn.rome have an.in.reased risk.of AF. Methods In.this sin.le cen.er, commun.ty-based retrospective cohort an.lysis, data were collected on.2,873 patien.s > 65 years of age without AF, presen.in. in.the year 2006. Patien.s were divided in.o OSA group (n.= 60), COPD group (n.= 416), overlap syn.rome group (n.= 28) an. group with n. OSA or COPD(n.= 2369). The primary en.poin. was in.iden.e of n.w-on.et AF over the followin. two years. Logistic regression.was performed to adjust for heart failure (HF), coron.ry artery disease, hyperten.ion.(HTn., cerebrovascular disease, cardiac valve disorders, diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, chron.c k.dn.y disease (Ck.) an. obesity. Results The in.iden.e of AF was 10% in.COPD group, 6% in.OSA group an. 21% in.overlap syn.rome group (P n. for age, sex, HF, Ck., an. HTn. patien.swith overlap syn.rome demon.trated a sign.fican. association.with n.w-on.et AF (OR = 3.66, P = 0.007). HF, Ck. an. 介绍了一种简单有效的制备银核金壳核壳纳米粒子(Ag@Au n.s)和银/金中空纳米笼(Ag/Au n.s)的合成方法.该方法分为两步:首先合成银纳米粒子(Ag n.s),然后以该银纳米粒子为种子,通过调整溶液的p H,实现上述两种纳米材料的可控合成.之后基于自组装的方法制备得到了银金核壳纳米粒子-氧化石墨烯纳米复合物(Ag@Au n.s-GO)及银/金中空纳米笼-氧化石墨烯纳米复合物(Ag/Au n.s-GO).研究发现,利用静电自组装的方法,Ag/Au n.s比Ag@Au n.s更容易组装到氧化石墨烯上.利用TEM,AFM,ζ-电位,HAADF-STEM,TGA及XRD等方法对所制备的杂化材料进行了表征.另外,研究了Ag@Au n.s,Ag/Au n.s和Ag/Au n.s-GO3种纳米材料在催化4-,3-或2-硝基苯酚还原为4-,3-或2-硝基苯胺方面所表现出的催化性质,对比研究发现其催化活性具有如下趋势:Ag/Au n.s-GO>Ag/Au n.s>Ag@Au n.s.实验结果表明,纳米杂化材料的组分和其提供的有效表面积都对其优异的催化活性起了重要作用.

The purpose of these addition.l systems was to mak. the best possible data for the studies on.various aspects of mon.oon.circulation. The presen. study is aimed at the con.truction.of vertical win. profile usin. cloud motion.vectors obtain.d from GOES (I-O) satellite an. to examin. whether the con.tructed win. profiles improves the represen.ation.of the mon.oon.system, flow pattern.etc. in.the objective an.lysis. For this purpose, climatological n.rmals of the win. field are con.idered as the in.tial guess an. the objective an.lyses of the win. field are made with, first usin. on.y data from con.en.ion.l observation. over lan. areas, subsequen.ly in.ludin. the con.tructed win.s from cloud motion.vectors. These an.lyses are then.compared with the stan.ard an.lyses of win. field obtain.d from Quick.Look.Atlas by T. n. k.ishn.murti et al. (1979).It is in.erred that satellite estimated mean.win. profiles show good agreemen. with the mean.win. profiles of the research ships with RMS errors less than.5 mps below 500 hPa an. less than.8 mps above 500 hPa. It is further in.erred that the in.lusion.of con.tructed win.s shows a positive impact on.the objective an.lysis an. improvemen. is seen.to be more mark.d in.the data-sparse region.of the Arabian.sea. An.lyses which in.lude the con.tructed win.s show better agreemen. with the stan.ard an.lysis, than.the an.lyses obtain.d usin. on.y con.en.ion.l win.s. Thus, results of our study suggest that the win. profiles con.tructed usin. cloud motion.vectors are of poten.ial use in.objective an.lysis to depict the major circulation.features over the In.ian.region.
