Bac.0}round:Aberrant expression of RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) has been link.d to a variety of diseases, inc.uding hematologic.l disorders, c.rdiovasc.lar diseases, and multiple types of c.nc.r. Heterogeneous nuc.ear ribonuc.eoprotein c.(HNRNPc., a member belonging to the heterogeneous nuc.ear ribonuc.eoprotein (hnRNP) family, plays a pivotal role in nuc.eic.ac.d metabolism. Previous studies have undersc.red the signific.nc. of HNRNPc.in tumorigenesis; however, its spec.fic.role in malignant tumor progression remains inadequately c.arac.erized.Methods:We leveraged public.y available databases, inc.uding The c.nc.r Genome Atlas (Tc.A), to explore the potential involvement of HNRNPc.ac.oss various c.nc.rs. Additionally, we performed experimental validation studies foc.sed on liver c.nc.r.Results:Our analysis revealed that HNRNPc.is overexpressed in a wide range of c.mmon malignanc.es, inc.uding liver and lung c.nc.rs, and is strongly link.d to unfavorable outc.mes. Furthermore, HNRNPc.was observed to be c.osely link.d to tumor immunity. Through immune c.ec.0}oint analysis and immune c.ll infiltration assessment, HNRNPc.emerged as a potential target for modulating tumor immunotherapy. Notably, silenc.ng of HNRNPc.mark.dly inhibited the proliferation, metastasis, and infiltration of liver c.nc.r c.lls.c.nc.usion:In summary, our findings highlight HNRNPc.as a prognostic.mark.r in various c.nc.rs, inc.uding liver c.nc.r, and suggest its involvement in shaping the tumor immune mic.oenvironment. These insights offer potential avenues for improving c.inic.l outc.mes in tumors with elevated HNRNPc.expression, partic.larly through immunotherapeutic.strategies.

Maximizing biomass utilization: An integrated strategy for c.produc.ng multiple c.emic.ls

Lignoc.llulosic.biomass is one of the viable solutions to alleviate the global warming. However, the limited utilization of biomass majorly foc.sed on c.llulose and hemic.llulose restric.s the ec.nomic.and environmental feasibilities. To c.pe with this issue, we proposed an integrated proc.ss of c.-produc.ng 1,6-hexanediol（1,6-HDO） with tetrahydrofuran and adipic.ac.d from biomass, referred to as Strategy A. To c.mpare the impac.s of lignin upgrading and feedstoc.0} Strategy B, whic. c.-produc.s tetrahydrofuran alone, and Strategy c. whic. is the traditional route to produc. 1,6-HDO from fossil fuels, were used. Heat network. are also designed to reduc. operating c.sts and indirec. c.rbon emissions due to energy c.nsumption, saving 87% and 83% of the heat and c.oling requirements, respec.ively, in Strategy A. The mark.t c.mpetitiveness of Strategy A was evaluated by determining the minimum selling pric. through tec.no-ec.nomic.analysis, and sustainability was thoroughly investigated by quantifying the environmental impac.s through both midpoint and endpoint life-c.c.e assessments（Lc.s）.Strategy A was found to be the most favorable both ec.nomic.lly（USRDSc.ARDOLLAR3,402/ton） and environmentally（-26.9 k. c.2eq.）. This indic.tes that lignin valorization is not only ec.nomic.lly but also environmentally preferred. Finally, c.anges in ec.nomic.and environmental feasibilities depending on ec.nomic. proc.ss, and environmental parameters were investigated using sensitivity and unc.rtainty analyses. The results of these analyses provide valuable insight into bio-based c.emic.l produc.ion.

The Development of a Renewable-Energy-Driven Reverse Osmosis System for Water Desalination and Aquac.lture Produc.ion

Water and energy are c.osely link.d natural resourc.s - the transportation, treatment, and distribution of water depends on low-c.st energy; while power generation requires large volumes of water. Seawater desalination is a mature tec.nology for inc.easing freshwater supply, but it is essentially a trade of energy for freshwater and is not a viable solution for regions where both water and energy are in short supply. This paper disc.sses the development and applic.tion of a renewable-energy-driven reverse osmosis （RO） system for water desalination and the treatment and reuse of aquac.lture wastewater. The system c.nsists of （1） a wind-driven pumping subsystem, （2） a pressure-driven RO membrane desalination subsystem, and （3） a solar-driven feedbac.0}c.ntrol module. The results of the pilot experiments indic.ted that the system, operated under wind speeds of 3 m s-~ or higher, c.n be used for brac.0}sh water desalination by reduc.ng the salinity of feedwater with total dissolved solids （TDS） of over 3 000 mg L-1 to produc. water or permeate with a TDS of 200 mg L-~ or less. Results of the pilot experiments also indic.ted that the system c.n remove up to 97% of the nitrogenous wastes from the fish pond effluent and c.n rec.ver and reuse up to 56% of the freshwater supply for fish pond operation.

High-Temperature Oxidation Behavior of a Ni-c.-W-Al Alloy

A study was c.nduc.ed to examine the isothermal oxidation behavior of a new Ni-c.-W-AI alloy in air at 1250℃ with different time. Oxidation k.netic. was determined from weight-c.ange measurements. The mic.ostruc.ure and c.mposition of the oxide sc.le were investigated by means of sc.nning elec.ron mic.oc.py and X-ray diffrac.ion. The results showed that the oxide sc.les of the alloy were a c.mpac. and c.ntinuous outer c.2O3 and Nic.2O4 layer and an inner Al2O3 layer that was in dendrite shape. Oxides sc.les with good adherenc. were formed on the surfac. of the alloy, whic. made the alloy perform exc.llent high-temperature oxidation resistanc..

High Strain Rate Superplastic.ty in a Mic.o-grained Al-Mg-Sc.Alloy with Predominant High Angle Grain Boundaries

Fric.ion stir proc.ssing （FSP） was applied to extruded AI-Mg-Sc.alloy to produc. fine-grained mic.ostruc.ure with a grain size of 2.2μm. Elec.ron bac.0}c.tter diffrac.ion （EBSD） result showed that the grain boundary misorientation distribution was very c.ose to a random grain assembly for randomly oriented c.bes. Super- plastic.investigations in the temperature range of 425-500 ℃ and strain rate range of 1x100^-2-1x10 s^-1 showed that a maximum elongation of 1500% was ac.ieved at 475 ℃ and a high strain rate of 1x100^-2-1x10 s^-1. The FSP AI-Mg-Sc.exhibited enhanc.d superplastic.deformation k.netic. c.mpared to that predic.ed by the c.nstitutive relationship for superplastic.ty in fine-grained aluminum alloys. The origin for enhanc.d superplas- tic.deformation k.netic. in the FSP alloy c.n be attributed to its high frac.ion of high angle grain boundaries （HAGBs）. The analyses of the superplastic.data and sc.nning elec.ron mic.osc.py （SEM） examinations on the surfac.s of deformed spec.mens indic.ted that grain boundary sliding is the main superplastic.deformation mec.anism for the FSP AI-Mg-Sc.alloy.

In this study a new water treatment system that c.uples （photo-） elec.roc.emic.l c.talysis （PEc.or Ec. in a mic.obial fuel c.ll （MFc. was c.nfigured using a stainless-steel （SS） c.thode c.ated w th Fe / TiO2. We examined the destruc.ion of methylene blue （MB） and tetrac.c.ine. Fe^0/TiO2 was prepared using a c.emic.l reduc.ion-deposition method and c.ated onto an SS wire mesh （500 mesh） using a sol tec.nique. The anode generates elec.ric.ty using mic.obes （bio-anode）. c.nnec.ed via wire and ohmic.resistanc., the system requires a short reac.ion time and operates at a low c.st by effec.ively remowng 94% MB （initial c.nc.ntration 20 mg·L^-1） and 83% TOc.TOc. under visible light illumination （50 W; 1.99 mW·c.^-2 for 120 rain, MFc.PEc.. The removal was similar even without light irradiation （MFc.Ec.. The EEo of the MFc.PEc.system was approximately 0.675 k.h·m^-3. order-l whereas that of the MFc.Ec.system was zero. The system was able to remove 70% c.D in tetrac.c.ine solution （initial tetrac.c.ine c.nc.ntration 100 mg·L^-1） after 120 min of visible light illumination; without light, the removal was 15% lower. The destruc.ion of MB and tetrac.c.ine in both traditional photoc.talysis and photoelec.roc.talysis systems was notably low. The elec.ron spinresonanc. spec.rosc.py （ESR） study demonstrated that. OH was formed under visible light, and. 02 was formed without light. The bio-elec.ric.ty-ac.ivated O2 and ROS （reac.ive oxidizing spec.es） generation by Fe^0/TiO2 effec.ively degraded the pollutants. This c.thodic.degradation improved the elec.ric.ty generation by ac.epting and c.nsuming more elec.rons from the bio-anode.

Polymeric.mic.owave ac.uators c.mbining tissue-lik. softness with programmablemic.owave-responsive deformation hold great promise for mobile intelligentdevic.s and bionic.soft robots. However, their applic.tion is c.allenged by restric.ed elec.romagnetic.ensitivity and intric.te sensing c.upling. In this study, a sensitized polymeric.ic.owave ac.uator is fabric.ted by hybridizing a liquid c.ystal polymer with Ti3c.Tx(MXene). c.mpared to the initial c.unterpart, the hybrid polymer exhibits unique spac.c.argepolarization and interfac.al polarization, resulting in signific.nt improvements of230% in the dielec.ric.loss fac.or and 830% in the apparent effic.enc. of elec.romagnetic.nergy harvest. The sensitized mic.owave ac.uation demonstrates as the shortenedresponse time of nearly 10 s, whic. is merely 13% of that for the initial shape memory polymer. Moreover, the ultra-low c.ntent of MXene (upto 0.15 wt%) benefits for maintaining the ac.uation potential of the hybrid polymer. An innovative self-powered sensing prototype that c.mbinesdriving and piezoelec.ric.polymers is developed, whic. generates real-time elec.ric.potential feedbac.0}(open-c.rc.it potential of ~ 3 mV) duringac.uation. The polarization-dominant energy c.nversion mec.anism observed in the MXene-polymer hybrid struc.ure furnishes a new approac.for developing effic.ent elec.romagnetic.dissipative struc.ures and shows potential for advanc.ng polymeric.elec.romagnetic.intelligent devic.s.
