The mass spectrum of the S-wave mesons is considered in the frame work.of relativistic harmonic model （RHM）. The full Hamiltonian used in the investigation has the Lorentz scalar plus a vector harmonic-oscillator potential, the confined-one-gluon-exchange potential （COGEP） and the instanton-induced quark.antiquak.interaction （Ⅲ）. A good description of the mass spectrum is ob.ained. The respective role of Ⅲ and COGEP in the S-wave meson spectrum is discussed.

The phenomenological non-relativistic quark.model （NRQM） has b.en employed to ob.ain the masses of b.ttomonium states. In the frame work.of NRQM an exhaustive study of radiative and leptonic decays has b.en made. The Hamiltonian used in the investigation has k.netic energy, confinement potentiM and one gluon exchange potential （OGEP）. An overall agreement is ob.ained with the experimental masses and decay widths.

We investigate the spectrum and decay rates of charmonium states within the framework.of the non relativistic quark.model b. employing a Coulomb.lik. potential from the perturb.tive one gluon exchange and the linear confining potential along with the potential derived from instanton vacuum to account for the hyperfine mass splitting of charmonium states in variational approach. We predict radiative E1, M1, two-photon, lepton and two-gluon decay rates of low lying charmonium states. An overall agreement is ob.ained with the experimental masses and decay *** have estimated the b.anching ratio of two gluons decaying into light hadrons.

The catalytic hydrogenation of nitrob.nzene to aniline employing nick.l impregnated on rutile,anatase,and high surface area titania supports has b.en *** nick.l is present in elemental state as fcc phase on the catalyst as evidenced b. X-ray diffraction *** Ni crystallite size was found to b. greater for Ni/*** temperature-programmed reduction results suggest a greater metal-support interaction for Ni/*** ob.erved order of catalytic activity for the hydrogenation of nitrob.nzene is Ni/rutile > Ni/anatase > Ni/TiO2.A conversion of 99% was ob.erved for Ni/rutile at 140 oC and hydrogen pressure of 1.96 ***,aniline is the only product formed which demonstrates the catalytic hydrogenation of nitrob.nzene proceeds with atom *** Ni/rutile and Ni/anatase exhib.ted a b.tter stab.lity than Ni/*** hydrogenation proceeds with the preferential adsorption of hydrogen on nick.l present in the catalyst surface,possib.y assisted b. TiOx species.
