The aim of this work is to investigate and optimize the effects of the leaching parameters on the selective leaching of zinc from electric arc furnace steelmaking dust （EAFD）. The response surface method was applied on the basis of a three-level Box–Behnken experimental design method for optimization of selective leaching parameters of zinc from EAFD. The leaching recoveries of zinc （YZn） and iron （YFe） were taken as the response variables, where the concentration of sulphuric acid （X1, mol/L）, leaching temperature （X2, °C）, leaching time （X3, min）, and liquid/solid ratio （X4, mL/g） were considered as the independent variables （factors）. The mathematical model was proposed. Statistical ANOVA analysis and confirmation tests were applied. A maximum of 79.09% of zinc was recovered while the minimum iron recovery was 4.08% under the optimum conditions of leaching time 56.42 min, H2SO4 concentration 2.35 mol/L, leaching temperature 25 °C and liquid/solid ratios. By using ANOVA, the most influential factors on leaching of zinc and iron were determined as H2SO4 concentration and leaching temperature, respectively. The proposed model equations using response surface methodology show good agreement with the experimental data, with correlation coefficients （R2） of 0.98 for zinc recovery and 0.97 for iron recovery.

This research study aims to enhance the optimization performance of a newly emerged Aquila Optimization algorithm by incorporating chaotic sequences rather than using uniformly generated Gaussian random *** work employs 25 different chaotic maps under the framework of Aquila *** considers the ten best chaotic variants for performance evaluation on multidimensional test functions composed of unimodal and multimodal problems,which have yet to be studied in past literature *** was found that Ikeda chaotic map enhanced Aquila Optimization algorithm yields the best predictions and becomes the leading method in most of the *** test the effectivity of this chaotic variant on real-world optimization problems,it is employed on two constrained engineering design problems,and its effectiveness has been ***,phase equilibrium and semi-empirical parameter estimation problems have been solved by the proposed method,and respective solutions have been compared with those obtained from state-of-art *** is observed that CH01 can successfully cope with the restrictive nonlinearities and nonconvexities of parameter estimation and phase equilibrium problems,showing the capabilities of yielding minimum prediction error values of no more than 0.05 compared to the remaining algorithms utilized in the performance benchmarking process.

The interfacial behavior of 4-n-hexyl-4＇-cyanobiphenyl（6CB） molecules at the air-water interface is investigated by full atomistic molecular dynamics simulations. To understand the morphology and the structure of adsorbed 6CB molecules in detail, the snapshots and mass density profiles of the simulation system are generated. The average tilt angles between the interface normal and various vectors defined in the rigid and alkyl parts of 6CB are in good agreement with the experimental data available. The interfacial thickness and monolayer width are obtained from the mass density profiles of water and 6CB phase, respectively. The second and fourth rank orientational order parameters of cyanobiphenyl core are found to be larger than those of an elastic alkyl *** order parameters for 6CB are also calculated. The calculated oxygen-oxygen radial distribution function and hydrogen bonding statistics for bulk water are compared with those for the interfacial region. The surface tensions of the systems are calculated. All simulation results are compared with the available literature data.

We have performed two kinds of non-linear fitting procedures to the single-particle energies in the sdgh major shell to obtain better shell model results. The low-lying energy eigenvaiues of the light Sn isotopes with A = 103 - 110 in the sdgh-shell are calculated in the framework of the nuclear shell model by using CD-Bonn two-body effective nucleon- nucleon interaction. The obtained energy eigenvalues are fitted to the corresponding experimental values by using two different non-linear fitting procedures, i.e., downhill simplex method and clonai selection method. The unknown single-particle energies of the states 2s1/2, ld3/2, and Oh11/2 are used in the fitting methods to obtain better spectra of the 104,106,108,110Sn isotopes, We compare the energy spectra of the 104,106,108,110Sn and 103,105,107,109Sn isotopes with/without a nonlinear fit to the experimental results.

In this study,a novel fast-implicit iteration scheme called the alternating cell direction implicit(ACDI)method is combined with the approximate factorization *** application aims to offer a mathematically well-deﬁned version of the ACDI method and to increase the accuracy of the iteration scheme used for the nu-merical solutions of partial differential *** ACDI method is a fast-implicit method that can be used for unstructured *** use of fast implicit iteration meth-ods with unstructured grids is not common in the *** new ACDI method has been applied to the unsteady diffusion equation to determine its convergence and time-dependent solution ability and *** numerical tests are conducted for different grid types,such as structured,unstructured quadrilateral,and hybrid polygonal ***,the ACDI was applied to the unsteady advection-diffusion equation to understand the time-dependent and progression capabilities of the pre-sented ***,a full potential equation solution is created to understand the complexﬂow solving ability of the presented *** results of the numerical study are compared with other fast implicit methods,such as the point Gauss–Seidel(PGS)and line Gauss–Seidel(LGS)methods and the fourth-order Runge-kutta(Rk4)method,which is an explicit scheme,and the Laasonen method,which is a fully im-plicit *** study increased the abilities of the ACDI *** to the new ACDI method,the approximate factorization method,which is used only in structural grids that are known to be advantageous,can be applied to any mesh structure.

Out of the wide range of calcium phosphate(CaP)biomaterials,calcium phosphate bone cements(CPCs)have attracted increased attention since their discovery in the 1980s due to their valuable properties such as bioactivity,osteoconductivity,injectability,hardening ability through a low-temperature setting reaction and *** numerous researches have been performed to enhance the properties of ***,low mechanical performance of CPCs limits their clinical application in load bearing regions of ***,the in vivo resorption and replacement of CPC with new bone tissue is still controversial,thus further improvements of high clinical importance are *** glasses(BGs)are biocompatible and able to bond to bone,stimulating new bone growth while dissolving over *** the last decades extensive research has been performed analyzing the role of BGs in combination with different ***,the focal point of this review paper is to summarize the available research data on how injectable CPC properties could be improved or affected by the addition of BG as a secondary powder *** was found that despite the variances of setting time and compressive strength results,desirable injectable properties of bone cements can be achieved by the inclusion of BGs into *** published data also revealed that the degradation rate of CPCs is significantly improved by BG ***,the presence of BG in CPCs improves the in vitro osteogenic differentiation and cell response as well as the tissue-material interaction in vivo.

Fullerene C60, C7o, single-walled and multi-walled carbon nanotubes and graphene sheets are doped to nematic liquid crystal （LC） host in the same percentage. Planar samples of these mixtures are prepared and our measurements constitute an optimization basis for possible applications. Fullerene balls are found to be the best compatible material for optical aims and reorientation of LC molecules, while the carbon nanotubes experience some reorientation possibility in LC media and graphene layers are good barriers to preserve reorientation.
