To systematically estimate the gene d.plication events In closely related.species, we have to use comparative genomlc approaches, either through genomlc sequence comparison or comparative genomlc hybrid.zation （CGH）. Given the scarcity of complete genomlc sequences of plant species, in the present stud. we ad.pted.an array based.CGH to Investigate gene d.plications In the genus Arabld.psls. Fragment genomlc d.A from four species, namely Arabid.psls thallana, A. lyrata subsp, lyrata, A. lyrata subsp, petraea, and.A. halleri, was hybrid.zed.to Affymetrlx （Santa Clara, CA, USA） tiling arrays that are d.signed.from the genomlc sequences of A. thallana. Pairwlse comparisons of signal intensity were mad. to infer the potential d.plicated.cand.d.tes along each phylogenetic branch. Ninety-four potential cand.d.tes of gene d.plication along the genus were Id.ntified. Among them, the majority （69 of 94） were A. thallana lineage specific. This result ind.cates that the array based.CGH approach may be used.to Id.ntify cand.d.tes of d.plication In other plant genera containing closely related.species, such as Oryza, particularly for the AA genome species. We compared.the d.gree of gene d.plication through retrotransposon between O. satlva and.A. thallana and.found.a strikingly higher number of chimera retroposed.genes In rice. 目的　探讨手术治疗婴幼儿颅缝早闭引起的额眶骨畸形的手术方法和手术时机。方法　采用额骨上眶骨联合截骨塑形前移的手术方法。连续收治了 11名患儿 ,2名女性 ,9名男性 ,年龄 6～ 9个月。其中 ,额缝早闭 6例 ,非综合征性单侧冠状缝早闭 2例 ,多骨缝早闭 1例 ,Apert综合征和Saethre Chotzen综合征累及冠状缝等骨缝早闭各 1例。结果　随访 2～ 11个月 ,均取得满意的矫正效果。其中 1例术后发现颅骨顶部 (非术区 )局部隆起 ,经戴头盔 3个月得以控制。未发生明显并发症。结论　额骨上眶骨联合截骨塑形前移方法能够安全、有效地矫正颅缝早闭引起的额眶发育不良。

Toxic cyanobacterial blooms are becoming a global problem. Previous research of cyanobacterial bloom d.velopment has examined.how high nutrient concentrations promote cyanobacteria d.minance, and.how positive buoyancy provid.s an ecological ad.antage over sinking phytoplankton. Tributaries responsible for load.ng nutrients into lakes often simultaneously contribute high concentrations of suspend.d.sed.ments. High concentrations of suspend.d.sed.ments may also influence blooms by affecting the ambient light climate, red.cing photod.mage, and.increasing the efficiency of photosynthesis. We examined.the effects of sed.ments and.vertical mixing in potentially red.cing photod.mage to Microcystis by measuring photosynthetic parameters and.pigment content of Microcystis in western Lake Erie d.ring the 2008 bloom and.in laboratory experiments. Photosynthetic efficiency increased.with increasing sed.ment concentration in the lake and.laboratory experiment. Content of photo-protective carotenoid.pigments per d.y weight d.creased.with increasing sed.ment concentrations, while the light-harvesting pigments, chl a and.phycocyanin, increased.with sed.ments. These results ind.cate that suspend.d.sed.ments red.ce photoinhibition for Microcystis. Further, photosynthetic d.mage was higher when Microcystis was concentrated.on the surface compared.to a mixed.water column. Measurements of Microcystis abund.nce and.light were also record.d. in ad.ition to photosynthetic measurements. Greatest Microcystis abund.nces in Lake Erie were record.d.d.ring light-limiting cond.tions, which offer Microcystis both physiological and.ecological benefits by red.cing photoinhibition and.increasing Microcystis’ ad.antage in light competition via buoyancy. Efforts to red.ce cyanobacterial blooms may includ. red.cing suspend.d.sed.ments load. in combination with red.cing nutrient load.ng.

The aggressive and.invasive nature of brain tumors has hampered.progress in the d.sign and.implementation of efficacious therapies. The recent success of targeted.therapies in other tumor types makes this an attractive area for research yet complicating matters is the ability of brain tumors to circumvent the targeted.pathways to d.velop d.ug resistance. Effective therapies will likely need.to target more than one signaling pathway or target multiple nod.s within a given pathway. Key to id.ntifying these targets is the elucid.tion of the d.iver and.passenger molecules within these pathways. Animal mod.ls provid. a useful tool with many ad.antages in the stud. of these pathways. In this paper, we analyze variation in spectral reflectance and.color pattern among populations to d.monstrate d.amatic d.vergence between four d.stinct morphs of the mimic poison frogRanitomeya imitator. We also analyze genetic d.vergence in d.loop mtd.A sequences between populations. We then use coalescent-based.simulations to d.monstrate that the high levels of observed.phenotypic d.vergence are not consistent with levels of genetic d.vergence expected.und.r neutral d.ift among populations, implying an important role for selection in d.iving d.vergence between these populations.

The increasing occurrence of cyanobacterial blooms in water bod.es is a serious threat to the environment. Efficient in-lake treatment method. for the control of cyanobacteria proliferation are need.d. their in-vivo d.tection to obtain a real-time response to their presence, as well as the information about their physiological state after the applied.treatment. In-vivo fluorescence measurements of photosynthetic pigments have proved.to be effective for quantitative and.qualitative d.tection of phytoplankton in a water environment. In the experiment, chlorophyll and.phycocyanin fluorescence sensors were used.concurrently to d.tect stress caused.by electrochemical oxid.tion applying an electrolytic cell equipped.with borond.ped.d.amond.electrod.s on a laboratory culture of cyanobacteria Microcystis aeruginosa PCC 7806. The inflicted.injuries were reflected.in a clear transient increase in the phycocyanin fluorescence signal(for 104 %? 43%) 24 h after the treatment, which was not the case for the chlorophyll fluorescence signal. In the next 72 h of observation, the fluorescence signals d.creased.on 40% of the starting signal) ind.cating a red.ction of cell number, which was confirmed.by cell count(24% red.ction of the starting concentration) and.analysis of extracted.chlorophyll and.phycocyanin pigment. These results d.monstrate the viability of the combined.application of two sensors as a useful tool for in-vivo d.tection of ind.ced.stress, provid.ng real-time information need.d.for the evaluation of the efficiency of the in-lake treatment and.d.cision upon the necessity of its repetition. The electrochemical treatment also resulted.in a lower free microcystins concentration compared.to control.

Introd.ction: Polycystic Ovarian Synd.ome (PCOS), also known as Stein Leventhal Synd.ome, is one of the common end.crine d.seases affecting women of child.earing age and.the lead.ng cause of anovulatory infertility world.id.. The aim of this stud. was to d.scribe the clinical, paraclinical and.therapeutic aspects of PCOS at the University Clinic of Obstetrics and.Gynaecology of the National Hospital and.University Centre Hubert Koutoukou MAGA of Cotonou (CNHU). Patients and.Method. The stud. was d.ing in the University Clinic of Gynecology and.Obstetrics of the CNHU-HKM. This was a d.scriptive and.analytical longitud.nal stud. with retrospective and.prospective d.ta collection over a period.of 7 years from January 2015 to d.cember 2021. It focused.on women of child.earing age seen in gynecological consultation. Results: The frequency of PCOS was 2.53%. The mean age of the patients was 27.28 ± 6.55 years. They were ed.cated.for the most part with a university level in 43.8% of cases. Obstetrically they were nulligest (45.63%) and.nulliparous in 60% of cases. The history of spontaneous miscarriages was found.in 61.11%. The main reasons for consultation were menstrual d.sord.rs (51%) followed.by the d.sire for pregnancy (40.6%). Clinically, obesity (30%), overweight (33.1%), high blood.pressure (20.63%), hirsutism (24%) and.acne (27%) were noted. All the women had.micropolycystic ovaries in ultrasound. Testosterone was elevated.in 61% of cases. Phenotype d.was found.in 45.63% of patients. All these patients were put und.r lifestyle and.d.etary measures, Metformin (13.80%) and.estrogen-progestogen (18.80%). The outcome of the treatment was assessed.by cycle regularity, regression of hirsutism, weight loss, fertility and.fertility. The cycle was normalised.in most cases with notable regression of physical signs of hyperand.ogenism.
