悬挂巢箱对次级洞巢鸟类选择天然洞的影响

于2005～2007年3～7月采用在试验样地中添加巢位(悬挂巢箱)与对照样地比较的方法,探讨悬挂巢箱是否影响天然洞的入住率,并为次级洞巢鸟类提供巢位资源,进而增加繁殖种群的数量。结果发现,无论是试验样地还是对照样地,总的入住数量年间差异不显著,种类间差异显著;天然洞之间(无论是否悬挂巢箱)的入住率差异不显著;人工巢箱与试验样地的天然洞之间的入住率差异极显著;人工巢箱与对照样地的天然洞入住率差异极显著。结果表明,人工巢箱的添加为次级洞巢鸟提供了巢位资源,大大地提高了入住率;人工巢箱的悬挂并未影响天然洞的入住率,试验样地与对照样地的天然洞的入住率没有显著区别,表明适合鸟类入住的天然洞巢位资源在次生阔叶林中,处于稳定且饱和状态。所以悬挂巢箱不影响天然洞的入住率,而且为次级洞巢鸟类补充了巢位资源,因此增加了繁殖种群的数量。

Panda oleosa Pierre (POP), a tropical plant tree, has been used in traditional medicine in Kisangani city and around to treat various diseases including diabetes and HIV/AIDs. this study aims to evaluate the chemical composition of POP extracts while setting up chromatographic fingerprints for their quality control, and the anti-hyperglycemic potential of trunk bark aqueous extracts of POP. Common chemical reactions were used for identification of main secondary metabolic groups. thin layer chromatography was used to set up several chromatographic fingerprints of water and alcoholic extracts while evaluating chemical composition. Oral glucose tolerance test served to induce hyperglycemia in a rabbit model. the extracts were given as 25 mg/kg, 50 mg/kg, and 100 mg/kg body weight, 30 minutes before loading animals with glucose 4 g/kg. Blood samples were collected at various times: just before extracts (t-30), before (t0) and after glucose load (t30, t60, t120, and t180). Blood glucose levels were measured with One touch Glucometer. the identification tests revealed the presence of saponins (3.58%), tannins (5%);alkaloids, quinones, flavonoids, and terpenes sterols could not be formerly detected by the reagents used. Interesting chromatographic spots were observed whose behaviors are of catechic tannin proanthocyanes. the extract significantly reduced glucose levels in dose dependent manner as compared to control and glibenclamide reference groups. the average of mean percentage of reduction in glucose level at t120 with the extract 100 mg/kg was close to that of glibenclamide 0.25 mg/kg (49% and 40.2%). these findings back the traditional use of the plant to treat diabetic patients and constitute a foundation for an extensive study to find a new antidiabetic phythomedicine.

"康吧"交往是纳西族与傈僳族、藏族之间一种独特而历史悠久的物质交换模式,它不符合理性选择的逻辑却能世代延续至今,同时,不同民族间的"康吧"交往又存在差异。本文借鉴西方主流理论对这种古老的交往模式进行分析,从经济学、社会学、人类学的多重理论角度出发,采用访谈、观察与定量分析相结合的研究方法,对上述现象进行了分析。研究结果表明:(1)资源依赖性、信任和互惠原则对"康吧"交往的延续至关重要;(2)货币市场和投机行为的出现导致"康吧"交往走向衰落,但情感互惠和资源互补使之至今存在;(3)自然资源条件、资源互补程度、社会历史背景和文化因素,对交往模式的差异都有重要影响作用。

Intramedullary Nailing of type I and type II Open Leg Fractures after 6 Hours at Yopougon teaching Hospital

Emergency debridement has long been the standard of care for open fractures of the tibia as infection is an important complication. In developing countries, patients are admitted to teaching hospitals 6 to 24 hours after their initial trauma. We sought to evaluate outcomes of nailing and correlations between the risk of infection and the delay in surgery. Materials and methods: Medical files of 48 men and 15 women with a combined total of 63 open fractures of the leg during a 12-year period were reviewed. the mean age was 29 years. thirty-four type I and 29 type II open fractures according to the classification of Cauchoix and Duparc were treated with Küntscher nail after excision/debridement. Preoperative CRP was performed in 27 patients and in 22 cases it was positive. twenty-six fractures were treated within a period of 6 to 24 hours, and a further 37 was operated on beyond 24 hours. the average waiting time before surgery was 2 days. Results: the infection was present in 11 patients (17.5%). We failed to establish any correlation between the time of treatment and the occurrence of infection for both type I and type II fractures treated during the same intervals with p = 0.244 (p > 0.05). But we established a correlation between the type of open fracture and the occurrence of infection with p = 0.01 (p there were 10 cases of infection among 22 cases of positive preoperative CRP. We couldn’t find a correlation between the positive value of the preoperative CRP and the occurrence of infection. Seven cases of infection were treated with appropriate antibiotherapy and early revision surgery. Four others cases complicated to bone infection (n = 2) and septic nonunion (n = 2). the average time of hospitalization was 22 days. the average time for fracture healing was 7 months. Conclusion: the rule of six hours is hardly applicable in our contexts. Our study showed no correlation between the preoperative period and the occurrence of infection.

Usefulness of intra-procedural cone-beam computed tomography in modified balloon-occluded retrograde transvenous obliteration of gastric varices

AIM:to evaluate whether intra-procedural conebeam computed tomography(CBCt)performed during modified balloon-occluded retrograde transvenous obliteration(mB RtO)can accurately determine technical success of complete variceal ***:From June 2012 to December 2014,15 patients who received CBCt during m BRtO for treatment of portal hypertensive gastric variceal bleeding were retrospectively ***-dimensional(3D)CBCt images were performed and evaluated prior to the end of the procedure,and these were further analyzed and compared to the pre-procedure contrast-enhanced computed tomography to determine the technical success of m BRtO including:Complete occlusion/obliteration of:(1)gastrorenal shunt(GRS);(2)gastric varices;and(3)afferent feeding ***-mB RtO contrast-enhanced Ct was used to confirm the accuracy and diagnostic value of CBCt within 2-3 ***:Intra-procedural 3D-CBCt images were 100% accurate in determining the technical success of m BRtO in all 15 *** demonstrated complete occlusion/obliteration of GRS,gastric varices,collaterals and afferent feeding veins during m BRtO,which was confirmed with post-m BRtO *** patients showed incomplete obliteration of gastric varices and feeding veins on CBCt,which therefore required additional gelfoam injections to complete the *** patient required additional procedures or other interventions during their follow-up period(684 ± 279 d).CONCLUSION:CBCt during mB RtO appears to accurately and immediately determine the technical success of mB *** may improve the technical and clinical success/outcome of m BRtO and reduce additional procedure time in the future.
