BACKGROUND Hepatic artery stenosis is a complication of orthotopic liver transplant occurring in 3.1%-7.4%of patients that can result in graft failure and need for *** therapy with angioplasty and stenting has been used with a high degree of technical success and good clinical outcomes,but tortuous hepatic arteries present a unique challenge for *** stents for this application should be maneuverable and conformable while also exerting adequate radial force to maintain a patent *** SUMMARY Herein we report our experience with a neurovascular Wingspan stent system in a challenging case of recurrent hepatic artery stenosis and discuss the literature of stenting in tortuous transplant hepatic *** Wingspan neurovascular stent is self-expanding,has good conformability,and adequate radial resistance and as such it could be added to the armamentarium of interventionalists in the setting of a tortuous and stenotic transplant hepatic artery.

Plants have a perception system triggered by pathogen and pest signals to initiate *** signals include evolutionarily conserved molecules from microbes and insects termed pathogen/herbivore-associated molecular patterns(PAMPs/HAMPs).Here we showed that hexaacetyl-chitohexaose(HC),an oligosaccharide from chitin,a structural component in insect exoskeletons and fungi cell walls,upregulated defense-associated genes WRKY22,GST1,RAR1,EDS1,PAL1 and NPR2,and downregulated ICS1 at 1 h after HC treatment in Sun Chu Sha mandarin *** effect was transient as defense gene transcriptional changes were not observed at 18 h after the *** penetration graph(EPG)recordings were used to study the feeding behavior of Asian citrus psyllid(ACP)following the HC *** is the hemipteran vector of Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus(CLas),the pathogen associated with huanglongbing(HLB).Adult ACP displayed reduced intercellular probing,reduced xylem feeding count and duration,and increased non-probing activity on HC-treated citrus compared to *** an 18-h recording,percentage for total duration of xylem ingestion,phloem ingestion,intercellular probing were lower,and the percentage of nonprobing behavior was higher in HC-treated leaves than in *** host-selection behavior studies,HC treatment did not alter the attractiveness of citrus leaves under light or dark *** addition,ACP feeding on HC-treated leaves did not show differences in mortality for up to 10 day of *** summary,we report that HC induced a transient defense in citrus and an inhibitory effect on ACP feeding but did not affect host selection or the insect fitness under the tested conditions.

Defect-mediated energy transfer is an energy transfer process between midgap electronic states in a semiconductor nanocrystal(NC)and molecular acceptors,such as fluorescent dye ***-resolution fluorescence microscopy represents an exciting technique for pinpointing the nanoscale positions of lattice defect sites in,for example,a micrometer-sized particle or thin film sample by spatially resolving the location of the acceptor dye molecules with nanometer *** this goal,our group performed ensemble-level,time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy measure-ments of ZnO NC/Alexafluor 555(A555)mixtures and calculated that the emissive defect sites are located,on average,0.5 nm from the NC surface[Nilsson,Z.N.;et ***.2021,154(5),054704].However,ensemble-level measurements cannot spatially resolve the defect sites on single particles,nor can they distinguish between surface-adsorbed dye molecules that participate in the energy transfer(EnT)process from those that do *** this work,we compared the photoluminescence intensity trajectories of 789 isolated,single ZnO NC donors to those of 73 non-specifically bound and five specifically bound ZnO NC/A555 pairs,where the donor and acceptor centroid positions were separated by a distance that was smaller than our localization precision(40 nm).We observed minor fluorescence intensity fluctuations in the donor and defect channels instead of clear anticorrelated intensity fluctuations,which could be explained by(1)the presence of multiple emissive defect sites per NC,(2)donor-acceptor separation distances slightly larger than the Förster radius(R_(0)=3.1 nm;defined as the distance at which EnT is 50%efficient),and/or(3)poor dipole-dipole *** single molecule imaging methodology we developed,an alternating ultraviolet-visible excitation sequence combined with multicolor photon detection,successfully distinguishes specifically bound and non-specifically bound NC/dye pairs and can be applied to

In this paper, fuzzy techniques have been used to track the problem of malaria transmission dynamics. The fuzzy equilibrium of the proposed model was discussed for different amounts of parasites in the body. We proved that when the amounts of parasites are less than the minimum amounts required for disease transmission (), we reach the model disease-free equilibrium. Using Choquet integral, the fuzzy basic reproduction number through the expected value of fuzzy variable was introduced for the fuzzy Susceptible, Exposed, Infected, Recovered, susceptible-Susceptible, Exposed and Infected (SEIRS-SEI) malaria model. AIM:To investigate the key factors in developing the trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid(TNBS)-induced postinflammatory irritable bowel syndrome(PI-IBS)model in rats. METHODS:TNBS was administered to rats at the following conditions:(1)with different doses(20,10,5 mg/0.8 mL per rat);(2)with same dose in different concentrations(20 mg/rat,25,50 mg/mL);(3)in different ethanol percentage(25%,50%);and(4)at depth either 4 cm or 8 cm from *** 5 d and 4 wk after TNBS administration,inflammation severity and inflammation resolution were *** 4 and 8 wk after TNBS application,visceral hyperalgesia and enterochromaffin(EC)cell hyperplasia were assayed by abdominal withdrawal reflex test,silver staining and capillary electrophoresis. RESULTS:Our results showed that:(1)TNBS induced dose-dependent acute inflammation and inflammation *** 5 d post TNBS,the pathological score and myeloperoxidase(MPO)activity in all TNBS treated rats were significantly elevated compared to that of the control(9.48±1.86,8.18±0.67,5.78± 0.77 vs 0,and 3.55±1.11,1.80±0.82,0.97±0.08 unit/mg vs 0.14±0.01 unit/mg,P<0.05).At 4 wk post TNBS,the pathological score in high and median dose TNBS-treated rats were still significantly higher than that of the control(1.52±0.38 and 0.80±0.35 vs 0,P<0.05);(2)Intracolonic TNBS administration position affected the persistence of visceral *** 4 wk post TNBS,abdominal withdrawal reflex (AWR)threshold pressure in all TNBS-treated groups were decreased compared to that of the control(21.52 ±1.73 and 27.10±1.94 mmHg vs 34.44±1.89 mmHg,P<0.05).At 8 wk post TNBS,AWR threshold pressure in 8 cm administration group was still significantly decreased(23.33±1.33 mmHg vs 36.79±2.29 mmHg,P<0.05);(3)Ethanol percentage affected the TNBS-induced inflammation severity and visceral *** TNBS-25%ethanol-treated group,the pathological score and MPO activity were significantly lowered compared to that of the TNBS-50%ethanoltreated group,while AWR thres
