High-entropy ceramics exhibit novel intrinsic properties. Hence, they have been explored for a wide range of applications ranging from thermal insulation and energy storage to advanced optical components. Recently, the semiconductor industry has faced a demand for higher-performance chips, necessitating higher aspect ratios in wafer fabrication and further miniaturization of linewidths. Therefore, novel materials with high plasma etching resistance and minimal contaminant generation are needed. The plasma-etching resistance displayed by high-entropy ceramics can be an innovative solution to this emerging challenge. In this study, we successfully fabricated single-phase high-entropy sesquioxide ceramics with high optical transparency, dense microstructure, and minimal residual pores. A structural analysis of the fabricated samples revealed a single-phase structure with excellent phase homogeneity. An evaluation of the plasma-etching resistance of high-entropy ceramics revealed for the first time a low etching rate of 8 nm/h compared with that of conventional plasma-resistant materials. These comprehensive characterizations of high-entropy ceramics indicate that they are promising candidates for significantly improving the production yield of semiconductors and for a wide range of potential applications, such as next-generation active optical ceramics.

BACKGROUND The cellular prion protein(PrPC),traditionally associated with neurodegenerative disorders,plays an important role in cancer progression and metastasis by inhibiting *** To investigate the influence of PrPC expression in cholangiocarcinoma(CCA)on patient outcomes following surgical *** Patients who underwent curative surgical resection for either intrahepatic or hilar CCA were enrolled in this retrospective *** on the immunohistochemical staining results of the surgical specimens,patients were categorized into two groups:The low PrPC group(negative or 1+)and the high PrPC group(2+or 3+).Survival analyses,including overall survival and recurrence-free survival,were conducted using the Kaplan-Meier method and compared using the log-rank *** In total,seventy-six patients diagnosed with CCA(39 with intrahepatic and 37 with hilar CCA)underwent curative hepatectomy from January 2011 to November *** these patients,38(50%)demonstrated high PrPC expression,whereas the remaining 38(50%)showed low expression of *** a median follow-up period of 31.2 months(range:1 to 137 months),the high PrPC group had a significantly shorter median overall survival than the low PrPC group(40.4 months vs 137.9 months,respectively;P=0.041).Moreover,the high PrPC group had a significantly shorter median recurrence-free survival than the low PrPC group(13.3 months vs 23.8 months,respectively;P=0.026).CONCLUSION PrPC expression is significantly associated with early recurrence and decreased survival period in CCA patients following surgical ***,PrPC may be used as a prognostic factor in treatment planning.

American Sign Language(ASL)images can be used as a communication tool by determining numbers and letters using the shape of the ***,ASL can have an key role in communication for hearing-impaired persons and conveying information to other persons,because sign language is their only channel of *** ASL recognition methods primarily adopt images,sensors,and pose-based recognition techniques,and employ various gestures together with *** study briefly reviews these attempts at ASL recognition and provides an improved ASL classification model that attempts to develop a deep learning method with *** the proposed model,the collected ASL images were clustered based on similarities in shape,and clustered group classification was first performed,followed by reclassification within the *** experiments were conducted with various groups using different learning layers to improve the accuracy of individual image *** selecting the optimized group,we proposed a meta-layered learning model with the highest recognition rate using a deep learning method of image *** proposed model exhibited an improved performance compared with the general classification model.

Formation Mechanism of Chunky Graphite and Its Preventive Measures

The formation mechanism of chunky graphite has been reviewed and studied. The study consisted of a unidirectional solidification method, a small droplet method and a furnace cooling method. Four kinds of iron samples were prepared, namely, the pure Fe-C, Fe-C-S, Fe-C-Ce and Fe-C-Si-Ce alloys, and three kinds of nickel samples, namely the Ni-C, Ni-C-S and Ni-C-Mg alloys. The results of the unidirectional solidification of the Ni-C alloys showed that spheroidal graphite is not observed in the continuous solidified region, in which only flake-like graphite is observed, while spheroidal graphite is usually observed in the quenched liquid region. The existence of spheroidal graphite in the solidified phase is recognized only in the discontinuous growth mode of the Ni-C-Mg alloy solidified at 150 mm/h. This means that the spheroidal graphite is directly crystallized from the melt and entrapped by the flake-like chunky graphite that is formed by the continuous growth mode. In the small droplet method, a small piece of the Fe-C or Fe-C-Ce sample was melted on a pure graphite plate then cooled at a different cooling rate in a He-3%H2 atmosphere. The graphite in the Fe-C-Ce alloy is usually spherical. Nevertheless, the graphite morphology of the final solidified area changed from spherical to chunky and chunky to ledeburite with an increase in the cooling rate. This means that the chunky graphite is formed in the residual liquid region by the solidification into Fe-graphite system. The sample was cooled in a furnace, and the graphite morphology changes from spherical to chunky and chunky to ledeburite with the decrease in the Si content. These phenomena can be confirmed by the cooling curves of these samples.

The dry reforming(DR)reaction is an eco-friendly process for producing synthesis gas(CO,H_(2))from greenhouse gases(CH_(4),CO_(2)).Despite advancements in various nickel(Ni)supported catalysts for this reaction,achieving high catalyst stability against carbon deposition and improving conversion rates remain significant *** this paper,we introduce a novel approach for synthesizing uniform Ni nanocatalysts with cesium(Cs)and cerium oxide(CeO_(x)).This synthesis is achieved using an automated device based on a co-melt infiltration *** method addresses the limitations of conventional catalyst synthesis,such as complex procedures,low reproducibility,and difficulties in scaling *** resulting catalysts contain uniformly small Ni particles,approximately 5 nm in size,with Cs and CeO_(x) evenly distributed throughout the alumina(Al_(2)O_(3))*** developed Ni/CeO_(x)-Al_(2)O_(3) and Cs Ni/CeOx-Al_(2)O_(3) nanocatalysts demonstrate improved conversion performance and stability under various DR *** improvement is attributed to the synergistic effect of Cs and CeO_(x),which creates a pathway to inhibit and remove carbon ***,these nanocatalysts exhibited superior resistance to carbon deposition compared to conventional Ni/Al_(2)O_(3) and commercial Ni catalysts under identical reaction conditions.

Cyberattacks targeting industrial control systems(ICS)are becoming more sophisticated and advanced than in the past.A programmable logic controller(PLC),a core component of ICS,controls and monitors sensors and actuators in the ***,PLC has memory attack threats such as program injection and manipulation,which has long been a major target for attackers,and it is important to detect these attacks for ICS *** detect PLC memory attacks,a security system is required to acquire and monitor PLC memory *** addition,the performance impact of the security system on the PLC makes it difficult to apply to the *** address these challenges,this paper proposes a system to detect PLC memory attacks by continuously acquiring and monitoring PLC *** proposed system detects PLC memory attacks by acquiring the program blocks and block information directly from the same layer as the PLC and then comparing them in bytes with previous *** with Siemens S7-300 and S7-400 PLC were conducted to evaluate the PLC memory detection performance and performance impact on *** experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system detects all malicious organization block(OB)injection and data block(DB)manipulation,and the increment of PLC cycle time,the impact on PLC performance,was less than 1 *** proposed system detects PLC memory attacks with a simpler detection method than earlier ***,the proposed system can be applied to ICS with a small performance impact on PLC.

To develop a convenient food formulation for supplying antioxidants,hyaluronic acid(HA)-based orally dis-integrating film(ODF)containing vitamin C(Vit C)and catechin(CAT)with various molar ratios(Vit C:CAT,1:0,1:0.2,1:0.4,1:0.6,1:0.8 and 1:1.0,by name of CAT0,CAT0.2,CAT0.4,CAT0.6,CAT0.8 and CAT1.0,respec-tively)were prepared,and the physico-chemical,and sensory properties of the films were *** addition,the release properties of the Vit C and CAT in the films were also *** the results,there was no sig-nificant difference in the moisture content among the films,but the thickness significantly increased with the CAT *** water vapor permeability(WVP)started decreasing at *** texture,the addition of CAT decreased tensile strength,and showed inverse relationship with film *** higher the CAT content was,the more brittle and fragile the texture obtained *** vitamin C content in the film significantly decreased as the CAT content increased,whereas the antioxidant effects continued to increase with CAT *** a sensory evaluation,CAT0.2 was the most preferred,followed by CAT0 and CAT0.4,and for those samples containing over 0.6 M ratio CAT,the acceptability dramatically *** on the above results,the most suitable molar ratio of Vit C:CAT was 1:*** a result of the analysis of the release pattern of the optimized ODF(CAT0.4),both Vit C and CAT exhibited rapid release of over 70%within 30 and 20 min,respectively,in all simulated body *** the prepared ODF can be considered as a suitable delivery formulation for convenient and fast-acting antioxidant.
