Tunable luminescent materials are becoming more and more important owing to their broad application potential in various fields. Here we construct a pillar[5]arene-based hybrid material with stimuli-responsive luminescent properties and ion-sensing abilities from a pyridine-modified conjugated pillar[5]arene and a planar chromophore oligo(phenylenevinylene) upon coordination of Cd(II) metal cores. This new material not only shows an optimized luminescence due to the minimized π–π stacking and efficient charge transfer properties benefitting from the existence of pillar[5]arene rings, but also exhibits tunable multicolor emission induced by different external stimuli including solvent, ions and acid, indicating great application potential as a fluorescent sensory material, especially for Fe3+. With this pillar[5]arene-based dual-ligand hybrid material, valid optimization and regulation on the fluorescence of the original chromophore have been achieved, which demonstrates a plausible strategy for the design of tunable solid-state luminescent materials and also a prototypical model for the effective regulation of fluorescent properties of planarπ systems using synthetic macrocycle-based building blocks.

Synthesis and Characterization of Crystallizable Aliphatic Thermoplastic Poly(ester urethane) Elastomers through a Non-isocyanate Route

A simple non-isocyanate route is developed for synthesizing crystallizable aliphatic thermoplastic poly（ester urethane） elastomers （TPEURs） with good thermal and mechanical properties. Three prepolymers of 1,6-bis（hydroxyethyloxycarbonylamino） hexane （BHCH）, i.e. PrePBHCHs, were prepared through the self-transurethane polycondensation of BHCH. A poly（butylene adipate） prepolymer （PrePBA） with terminal HO-- groups was prepared and used as a polyester glycol. A series of TPEURs were prepared by the co-polycondensation of the PrePBHCHs with PrePBA at 170 ℃under a reduced pressure of 399 Pa. The TPEURs were characterized by gel permeation chromatography, FTIR, 1H-NMR, differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, wide-angle X-ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy, and tensile test. The TPEURs exhibited Mn up to 23300 g/mol, Mw up to 51100 g/mol, Tg ranging from -33.8 ℃ to -3.1 ℃, Tm from 94.3 ℃ to 111.9 ℃, initial decomposition temperature over 274.7℃, tensile strength up to18.8 MPa with a strain at break of 450.0%, and resilience up to 77.5%. TPU elastomers with good crystallization and mechanical properties were obtained through a non-isocyanate route.

Single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWNTs)have been regarded as one of the most promising candidates to supplement or even replace silicon in the post-Moore *** requirement is to prepare the horizontally aligned SWNTs arrays(HASAs)with multiple indicators,including high density,high semiconducting purity,and wafer-scale ***,after all the fevered works being done in controlled synthesis,we still have a long way to go before realizing the application of SWNTs in highly performed electronic *** methods of batch production and high-throughput characterization techniques of the HASAs are the two main *** this outlook,we first summarized the progresses in synthesis of HASAs with either high density or high semiconducting *** the methods adopted in characterizing SWNTs and HASAs were discussed according to the different principles of characterization ***,the development of carbon nanotube based electronic devices,specifically,the field effect transistors(FETs),was reviewed from three *** problems involved in electronic applications bring forward the higher request to the HASAs ***,in the end of this outlook,we prospected the future of the synthesis and corresponding characterization of HASAs,and tried to provide our ideas about how to pave the way to the batch production of HASAs for carbon based electronic devices.

Feature selection has attracted a great deal of interest over the past decades. By selecting meaningful feature subsets, the performance of learning algorithms can be effectively improved. Because label information is expensive to obtain, unsupervised feature selection methods are more widely used than the supervised ones. The key to unsupervised feature selection is to find features that effectively reflect the underlying data distribution. However,due to the inevitable redundancies and noise in a dataset, the intrinsic data distribution is not best revealed when using all features. To address this issue, we propose a novel unsupervised feature selection algorithm via joint local learning and group sparse regression(JLLGSR). JLLGSR incorporates local learning based clustering with group sparsity regularized regression in a single formulation, and seeks features that respect both the manifold structure and group sparse structure in the data space. An iterative optimization method is developed in which the weights finally converge on the important features and the selected features are able to improve the clustering results. Experiments on multiple real-world datasets(images, voices, and web pages) demonstrate the effectiveness of JLLGSR.

In this paper, we introduce a modified small-world network added with new links with preferential connection instead of adding randomly, then we apply Bak-Sneppen （BS） evolution model on this network. Several dynamical character of the model such as the evolution graph, fo avalanche, the critical exponent D and T, and the distribution of mutation times of all the nodes, show particular behaviors different from those of the model based on the regular network and the small-world network.

BACKGROUND Return to work(RTW)serves as an indication for young and middle-aged colorectal cancer(CRC)survivors to resume their normal social ***,these survivors encounter significant challenges during their RTW ***,scientific research is necessary to explore the barriers and facilitating factors of returning to work for young and middle-aged CRC *** To examine the current RTW status among young and middle-aged CRC survivors and to analyze the impact of RTW self-efficacy(RTW-SE),fear of progression(FoP),eHealth literacy(eHL),family resilience(FR),and financial toxicity(FT)on their RTW *** A cross-sectional investigation was adopted in this *** September 2022 to February 2023,a total of 209 participants were recruited through a convenience sampling method from the gastrointestinal surgery department of a class A tertiary hospital in *** investigation utilized a general information questionnaire alongside scales assessing RTW-SE,FoP,eHL,FR,and *** analyze the factors that influence RTW outcomes among young and middle-aged CRC survivors,Cox regression modeling and Kaplan-Meier survival analysis were *** A total of 43.54%of the participants successfully returned to work,with an average RTW time of 100 *** regression univariate analysis revealed that RTW-SE,FoP,eHL,FR,and FT were significantly different between the non-RTW and RTW groups(P<0.05).Furthermore,Cox regression multivariate analysis identified per capita family monthly income,job type,RTW-SE,and FR as independent influencing factors for RTW(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The RTW rate requires further *** levels of RTW-SE and FR were found to significantly increase RTW among young and middle-aged CRC *** professionals should focus on modifiable factors,such as RTW-SE and FR,to design targeted RTW support programs,thereby facilitating their timely reintegration into mainstream society.
