L-ficolin, one of lectin families, is a recently identified complement factor that initiates lectin pathway of complement. Little is known about its role in viral hepatitis. In the present study, we found that L-ficolin in serum from 103 patients with hepatitis C virus （HCV）, were significantly higher than that in 150 healthy controls. We further found that L-ficolin expressions were significantly increased in vitro study by HCV JFH-1 infected human hepatocyte cell line Huh7.5.1. Investigation of the mechanisms of the L-ficolin action on HCV demonstrated that L-ficolin protein could recognize and bind to envelope glycoproteins E1 and E2 of HCV, activating the lectin complement pathway-mediated cytolytic activity in HCV-infected hepatocyte. This interaction between L-ficolin and HCV E1 and E2 glycoproteins was attributed to the N-glycans of E1 and E2. These findings provide new insights into the biological functions of L-ficolin in clinically important hepatic viral diseases.

采用钢纤维和聚乙烯纤维(PE)双掺的方式制备了一种高韧性水泥基复合材料(UHTCC),在PE纤维固定掺量取1%时,通过三点抗折试验,研究了不同钢纤维长度(6mm、10mm、13mm)和不同掺量(0、0.3%、0.6%、0.9%)对UHTCC抗折性能的影响,同时对UHTCC的强度增强机理进行了分析。结果表明:相较于单掺PE纤维的试件,钢纤维的掺入能够显著提高试件的抗折强度。UHTCC试件的破坏形态为延性破坏,且随着钢纤维长度和掺量的增加,裂缝数量和分布范围逐渐增大;相较于短纤维,长钢纤维对UHTCC的增强效应更优;UHTCC的抗折性能随钢纤维掺量的增加而提高,6mm钢纤维试件在掺量为0.9%时抗折性能最优;10mm钢纤维试件的抗折性能在掺量为0.6%时达到峰值;13mm钢纤维试件抗折强度随掺量增加而提高,但挠度变形减小。

Development and Validation of a Nomogram for 90-day Outcome in Patients with Hepatitis B Virus-related Acute-on-chronic Liver Failure

Background and Aims:It is challenging to predict the 90-day outcomes of patients infected with hepatitis B virus-related acute-on-chronic liver failure(HBV-ACLF)via prevailing predictive *** study aimed to develop an innovative model to enhance the analytical efficacy of 90-day mortality in ***:In this study,149 HBV-ACLF patients were evaluated by constructing a death risk prediction *** resampling and an independent validation cohort comprising 31 patients from june 2019 to February 2020 were assessed for model ***:The nomogram was constructed by entering and identifying five factors age,total bilirubin,prothrombin activity(PTA),lymphocyte(L)%,and monocyte(M)%.Healthy refinement was achieved from the nomogram analysis,where the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve was 0.864 for the training cohort and 0.874 was achieved for the validation *** was admirable concordance between the predicted and true results in the equilibrium *** decision curve assessment revealed the useful clinical application of the ***:We constructed an innovative nomogram and validated it for the prediction of 90-day HBV-ACLF patient *** model might help develop optimized treatment protocol recommendations for HBV-ACLF patients。

Autologous sclera-muscle flaps technique in evisceration with hydroxyapatite implantation

·AIM: To provide superior cosmetic results and reduce complications, unlike traditional evisceration coupled with implant insertion technique and its modifications,we have developed a novel and simple technique for anophthalmic patients.·METHODS: All patients who underwent the scleral-muscle flaps procedure in evisceration with the placement of hydroxyapatite implant were included in the study. Main outcome measures were complications such as exposure, infection, chemosis, conjunctival inclusion cysts, granulomas. Meanwhile, implant motility was indirectly measured and the results were collected and analyzed.· RESULTS: A total of twenty-eight patients were enrolled in the study. Eighteen were men(64.29%) and ten were women(35.71%). Ages ranged from 18 to 65y(mean age, 32 years old). Mean follow-up was 12.32mo(range, 9-16mo). All patients received a hydroxyapatite implant. The average diameter of the implant was 19.29 ±1.36 mm(range, 18-22 mm). Minor complications occurred in 3 patients, and a major complication was observed in 1 patient. Mean motility were 11.04 ±1.45 mm horizontally(range, 7-14 mm) and 8.57 ±1.50 mm vertically(range, 5-12 mm).·CONCLUSION: The sclera-muscle flaps technique in evisceration with hydroxyapatite implantation is simple and practical that eases the surgical procedure, enables a proper size hydroxyapatite implantation, distinctively reduces complications and provides superior surgery results, especially the motility of the implant.

Effect of Nitrogen Regimes on Grain Yield,Nitrogen Utilization,Radiation Use Efficiency,and Sheath Blight Disease Intensity in Super Hybrid Rice

Poor nitrogen use efficiency in rice production is a critical issue in China. Site-specific N managements （SSNM） such as real-time N management （RTNM） and fixed-time adjustable-dose N management （FTNM） improve fertilizer-N use efficiency of irrigated rice. This study was aimed to compare the different nitrogen （N） rates and application methods （FFP, SSNM, and RTNM methods） under with- and without-fungicide application conditions on grain yield, yield components, solar radiation use efficiency （RUE）, agronomic-nitrogen use efficiency （AEN）, and sheath blight disease intensity. Field experiments were carried out at Liuyang County, Hunan Province, China, during 2006 and 2007. A super hybrid rice Liangyou 293 （LY293） was used as experimental material. The results showed that RTNM and SSNM have great potential for improving agronomic-nitrogen use efficiency without sacrificing the grain yield. There were significant differences in light interception rate, sheath blight disease incidence （DI） and the disease index （ShBI）, and total dry matter among the different nitrogen management methods. The radiation use efficiency was increased in a certain level of applied N. But, the harvest index （HI） decreased with the increase in applied N. There is a quadratic curve relationship between grain yield and applied N rates. With the same N fertilizer rate, different fertilizer-N application methods affected the RUE and grain yield. The fungicide application not only improved the canopy light interception rate, RUE, grain filling, and harvest index, but also reduced the degree of sheath blight disease. The treatment of RTNM under the SPAD threshold value 40 obtained the highest yield. While the treatment of SSNM led to the highest nitrogen agronomic efficiency and higher rice yield, and decreased the infestation of sheath blight disease dramatically as well. 在连续介质理论基础上,根据Jackson的能量积分公式导出非平衡态静电自由能和溶剂化能的正确表达式.引入“弹簧能”概念,对平衡态和非平衡态的静电能构成给出了合理解释,即此能量由溶质自由电荷和溶剂极化电荷的自能、两者之间的相互作用能和极化电荷的“弹簧能”构成.对目前几种代表性的非平衡溶剂化理论进行了论证和比较,指出其中存在的基本理论问题.根据新的非平衡溶剂化能建立了电子转移反应溶剂重组能的双球模型、光谱移动的单球孔穴点偶极模型,多级展开方法和非平衡溶剂效应的数值解方法.在Poisson方程求解中引入类导体屏蔽模型,建立了任意孔穴极化电荷数值解方法并应用到C loss-M ill-er电子转移体系,得到与实验值吻合的溶剂重组能,解决了传统非平衡溶剂化理论高估溶剂重组能的问题.

Ultrafast presodiation of graphene anodes for high-efficiency and high-rate sodium-ion storage

The low initial Coulombic efficiency(ICE)is a significant problem hindering the practical uses of carbon anodes in sodium-ion batteries(SIBs),especially for the carbons with large surface *** is an effective way to solve the above problem,but it always needs complicated operations and cannot suppress the unavoidable electrolyte decomposition in the assembled ***,we develop an ultrafast chemical presodiation method for reduced graphene oxide(rGO)using sodium naphthalene(Na-Nt)dissolved in dimethoxyethane(DME)solvent as a presodiation *** presodiation effectively improves the ICE of rGO to 96.8%and forms an artificial solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)on its surface due to the decomposition of the formed complex between Na+and *** formed artificial SEI suppresses the excessive decomposition of electrolytes in the assembled battery,leading to a formation of uniform and inorganic component–rich SEI on rGO surface,which enables a rapid interfacial ion ***,the presodiated rGO showed excellent rate performance with a high capacity of 198.5 mAh g^(-1) at 5 A g^(-1).Moreover,excellent cycle stability indicated by the high capacity retention of 68.4%over 1000 cycles was also achieved,showing the poten-tial to promote the practical uses of high-rate rGO anode in SIBs.
