Application of geophysical methods in fine detection of urban concealed karst:A case study of Wuhan City,China

The construction of modern livable cities faces challenges in karst areas,including ground collapse and engineering ***,with a population of 13.74×10^(6) and approximately 1161 km^(2)of soluble rocks in the urban area of 8569.15 km^(2),predominantly consists of concealed karst areas where occasional ground collapse events occur,posing significant threats to underground engineering *** address these challenges,a comprehensive geological survey was conducted in Wuhan,focusing on major karstrelated *** methods offer advantages over drilling in detecting concealed karst areas due to their efficiency,non-destructiveness,and *** paper reviewed the karst geological characteristics in Wuhan and the geophysical exploration methods for karst,selected eight effective geophysical methods for field experimentation,evaluated their suitability,and proposed method combinations for different karst *** results show that different geophysical methods have varying applicability for karst detection in Wuhan,and combining multiple methods enhances detection *** specific recommendations for method combinations provided in this study serve as a valuable reference for karst detection in Wuhan.

TiO_(2)直接还原制备超低氧钛

提出在MgCl_(2)−KCl−YCl_(3)熔盐中,通过熔盐电解产生Mg直接还原TiO_(2)制备低氧钛。绘制Mg−Ti−O三元相图和电位−氧势(φ−pO^(2)−)图,表明镁还原TiO_(2)制备低氧钛是可行的。在MgCl_(2)−YCl_(3)和MgCl_(2)−YCl_(3)−KCl熔盐中,不同温度和施加电压条件下,开展熔盐电解−镁热还原TiO_(2)实验研究,结果表明:借助YOCl沉淀及CO_(x)同步生成,将还原和脱氧产物O^(2)−快速脱除,在1073~1173 K、施加电压2.5~3.1 V的条件下,通过电化学还原可以将TiO_(2)还原为高氧钛(Ti6O)。在温度为1173 K的MgCl_(2)−YCl_(3)熔盐中,开展不同施加电压下的高氧钛电化学脱氧实验。此外,还观察到有可能将高氧钛的氧含量可从1200×10^(−6)降至100×10^(−6)以下。

Human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)testing is the only way to find people living with HIV(PLWH).Early diagnosis and early treatment of HIV can extend the life of PLWH and reduce the subsequent transmission of ***,HIV testing plays a crucial role in public *** global scale of HIV testing has expanded significantly over the past 10 *** the estimated 37 million people with HIV worldwide,approximately 79%knew their HIV status in 2018,compared with 12%in *** 2018,68.9%of PLWH in China had received a diagnosis.[1]This number is far from the target of 90%of PLWH knowing their HIV status,which is advocated in the implementation plan for containing the spread of HIV/acquired immuno-deficiency syndrome(AIDS)(2019–2022).[2]Expanding HIV testing has become an essential and challenging issue for China’s current HIV/AIDS prevention and control.

Synergistic effects of composition and heat treatment on microstructure and properties of vacuum die cast Al-Si-Mg-Mn alloys

The purpose of this study was to prepare high-quality Al-Si-Mg-Mn alloy with a good combination of strength and ductility employing the vacuum-assisted high-pressure die cast process. An orthogonal study of heat treatments was conducted to design an optimized T6 heat treatment process for both Al-10%Si-0.3%Mg-Mn and Al-11%Si-0.6%Mg-Mn alloys. The results demonstrate that no obvious blisters and warpage were observed in these two alloys with solid solution treatment. After the optimal T6 heat treatment of 530°C×3 h + 165°C×6 h, Al-11%Si-0.6%Mg-Mn alloy has better mechanical properties, of which tensile strength, yield strength and elongation reached 377.3 MPa, 307.8 MPa and 9%, respectively. The improvement of mechanical properties can be attributed to the high density of needle-like β″(Mg_5Si_6) precipitation after aging treatment and the fine and spherical eutectic Si particles uniformly distributed in the α-Al matrix.

A modern survey method for determining live loads based on multi-source and open-access data on the Internet

Sufficient survey data are required to describe the stochastic behaviors of live ***,due to manual and on-site operation required by traditional survey methods,traditional surveys face challenges like occupant resistance,high costs,and long implementation *** study proposes a new survey method to access live load data online and *** samples are acquired from multi-source,open-access and dynamically updated data on the *** change intervals,geometrical dimensions and object quantities are obtained from transaction information,building attributes and virtual reality models on real estate websites,*** object weights are collected from commodity information on e-commerce *** integration of the aforementioned data allows for the extraction of necessary statistics to describe a live load *** proposed method is applied to a live load survey in China,covering 20040 m^(2),with around 90000 samples acquired for object weights and load *** survey results reveal that about 70%−80%of the amplitude statistics are attributable to 1/6 of the total object types.

Background:Human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)prevalence among student men who have sex with men(MSM)in college is more than 5.0%and keeps on increasing in *** study aims to clarify the proportion of HIV recent infection,its propeller and the source among college student ***:We conducted a multicenter cross-sectional study in seven major Chinese cities during *** recent infections(≤168 days)and incidence was measured and estimated by BED HIV-1 capture enzyme immunoassay(BED-CEIA)testing ***-related behaviors and transmitted drug resistance(TDR)were investigated and compared between the college student MSM,<25-year-old non-student youth MSM(NSYM),and≥25-year-old non-student non-youth MSM(NSNYM),using structured survey,and analyses of drug ***:Overall,4496(4496/4526,99.3%)were eligible for enrollment,comprising 565 college student MSM,1094 NSYM,and 2837 *** proportion of HIV recent infection were 70.3%(26/37),50.8%(65/128)and 35.1%(95/271),the HIV incidence rate were 10.0(95%CI:6.2-13.9)/100 person-year(PY),12.9(95%CI:9.8-16.1)/100PY,6.8(95%CI:5.4-8.2)/100 PY,and TDR prevalences were 7.4%(2/27),2.0%,(2/98)and 4.9%(11/226),among student MSM,NSYM,and NSNYM,*** HIV positive student MSM with age<21 years,the proportion of HIV recent infection is 90.9%(10/11).Factors independently associated with HIV recent infection in student MSM was usage of recreational drug in the past 6 months(adjusted odds ratio[aOR]:2.5;95%CI:1.0-5.8).Conclusions:College student MSM had higher proportion of HIV recent infection and TDR than the youth and older MSM in China during *** HIV infections were more likely to happen during the early year of college life among student MSM.

Intravenous injection of nicardipine changed the distribution of coronary artery endothelial shear stress and fluid dynamics in patients with unstable angina

Background Coronary endothelial shear stress （ESS） triggered the development of atherosclerosis. However, the effect of calcium channel antagonist on the distribution of ESS remained unclear. Methods Twenty consecutive patients with acute coronary syndrome （ACS） 48 hours after maximal medication with single left anterior descending artery stenosis 〈50% were studied. Nicardipine was intravenously injected at 1 μg/kg after a bolus of 10 mg in order to achieve mean blood pressure （MBP） reduced by 10% or more, or the heart rate increased by 10-15 beats/min. Hemodynamic variables and angiogram at baseline and during injection of nicardipine were recorded, respectively. Coronary artery 3-D reconstruction was used for the analysis of ESS. Results Distal reference-vessel-diameter and minimal lumen diameter decreased significantly from （2.42±0.41） mm and （1.47±0.49） mm at baseline to （2.22±0.35） mm and （1.35±0.49） mm at maximal drug-dosage （P=0.018 and 0.020, respectively）. Nicardipine did not change blood velocity. Lowest mean shear stress at segments 2-mm distal to plaque increased significantly from （0.034±0.519） Pa at baseline to （0.603±0.728） Pa （P=0.013） at peak effect of drug. Conclusions Nicardipine was associated with the constriction of diseased vessel segment that adapted to the reduction of blood pressure, without dynamic change of blood velocity at each stage of whole cardiac cycle. Increased ESS value at segments distal to plaque reflected the cardioprotection by nicardipine （ChiCTR-TRC-10000964）.

Introduction Although the global human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)epidemic has been effectively curbed,preventing and managing HIV infection in high-risk populations remains challenging.[1]In China,HIV is primarily transmitted through sexual contact.[1,2]Pre-exposure prophylaxis(PrEP)is a new and effective method for preventing HIV infection using antiretroviral drugs[3];data from multiple clinical trials worldwide have shown that using antiretroviral drugs for PrEP can limit HIV transmission.[4,5,6,7]The World Health Organization(WHO)issued guidelines in 2015 recommending PrEP in populations with an HIV incidence above 3/100 person-years(PY)and in individuals engaging in high-risk behaviors.[3]According to existing studies,the HIV incidence among key populations in China was 5.6/100 PY for men who have sex with men(MSM),[8]1.6/100 PY for intravenous drug users(IDUs),[9]and 1.4/100 PY for female sex workers.[10,11]As of July 2020,54 countries and regions have issued PrEP guidelines for adults to prevent HIV infection,and 36 of these have also published guidelines for children and ***,there are no PrEP guidelines or related consensus statement in *** such,there is a strong need for standardized guidance on the implementation of PrEP pertaining to medical selection criteria,PrEP timing,drug safety,and consultation and testing *** we present the consensus statement on the implementation of PrEP in China based on the opinions and suggestions of health policy-makers,scientists,clinical experts,community-based organizations of key populations,and the latest reports in PrEP researches.

Span-based joint entity and relation extraction augmented with sequence tagging mechanism

Span-based joint extraction simultaneously conducts named entity recognition(NER) and relation extraction(RE) in a text span form. However, since previous span-based models rely on span-level classifications, they cannot benefit from token-level label information, which has been proven advantageous for the task. In this paper, we propose a sequence tagging augmented span-based network(STSN), a spanbased joint model that can make use of token-level label information. In STSN, we construct a core neural architecture by deep stacking multiple attention layers, each of which consists of three basic attention *** the one hand, the core architecture enables our model to learn token-level label information via the sequence tagging mechanism and then uses the information in the span-based joint extraction; on the other hand, it establishes a bi-directional information interaction between NER and RE. Experimental results on three benchmark datasets show that STSN consistently outperforms the strongest baselines in terms of F1,creating new state-of-the-art results.
