Oxcarbazepine oral suspension in pediatric patients with partial seizures and/or generalized tonic-clonic seizures: a multi-center, single arm, observational study in China

Background:To assess efficacy and safety of oxcarbazepine (OXC) oral suspension in pediatric patients aged 2-16 years with partial seizures (PS) and/or generalized tonic-clonic seizures (GTCS) in real-world clinical practice in ***:This 26-week,single arm,multicenter and observational study recruited patients aged 2-16 years with PS or GTCS suitable for OXC oral suspension *** patients received OXC oral suspension treatment for 26 *** endpoints included mean seizure frequency at the end of the treatment and mean seizure frequency reduction at the end of the treatment *** efficacy-related endpoints and safety parameters were also ***:Nine hundred and eighty-seven pediatric patients were enrolled and 912 (92.4%) completed the *** mean seizure frequencies at baseline and the end of week 26 were 13.40±64.92 and 1.62±19.47 times/month,*** mean seizure frequency reduction was 10.03±63.67 times/month and the mean seizure frequency reduction percentage was 90.02%±5127.0% (P<0.0001).After 26 weeks of treatment,82.36%,7.24% and 3.86% of the patients became controlled,significantly improved and improved,*** events (AEs) were reported in 74 (7.65%) *** was the most common *** efficacy of OXC was not affected by seizure types,age or ***:This study confirms the efficacy and good safety profile of OXC oral suspension in Chinese pediatric patients aged 2-16 years with PS and/or GTCS.

Co-production of hydrogen, oxygen, and electricity via an integrated solar-driven system with decoupled water electrolyzer and Na-Zn ion battery

Combining water electrolysis and rechargeable battery technologies into a single system holds great promise for the co-production of hydrogen （H2） and ***,the design and development of such systems is still in its ***,an integrated hydrogen-oxygen （O2）-electricity co-production system featuring a bipolar membrane-assisted decoupled electrolyzer and a Na-Zn ion battery was established with sodium nickelhexacyanoferrate （NaNiHCF） and Zn2+/Zn as dual redox *** decoupled electrolyzer enables to produce H2and O2in different time and space with almost 100%Faradaic efficiency at 100 mA ***,the charged NaNiHCF and Zn electrodes after the electrolysis processes formed a Na-Zn ion battery,which can generate electricity with an average cell voltage of 1.75 V at 10 m A *** connecting Si photovoltaics with the modular electrochemical device,a well-matched solar driven system was built to convert the intermittent solar energy into hydrogen and electric energy with a solar to hydrogen-electricity efficiency of 16.7%,demonstrating the flexible storage and conversion of renewables.

Flexible Zn-based batteries have attracted increasing research interest as essential components of wearable energy storage ***,the advancement of flexible aqueous Zn-based batteries based on Co-Ni layered double hydroxide （CoNi-LDH） as the cathode material is hampered by their poor cycling stability and the corrosiveness of alkaline ***,CoNi-LDH nanosheets enriched with H vacancies (CoNi-LDH（v）) were constructed on a flexible carbon cloth （CC） substrate via electrochemical deposition and *** Zn-based battery comprising CoNi-LDH（v）@CC as the cathode exhibited highly reversible conversion reactions and stable operation in 3 M ZnSO4electrolyte （pH=4）.The battery delivered an excellent specific capacity (225 mA h g-1,0.26 mA h cm-2),acceptable cycling stability（53.9%,900 cycles）,and high discharging *** abundant H vacancies served as active sites for the reversible intercalation of Zn2+and the extravasation of NO3-generated channels and space for Zn2+transport and storage,together enabling an excellent Zn2+storage ***,a sandwich-structured solid-state CoNi-LDH（v）@CC//Zn@CC battery was fabricated and was found to exhibit a noteworthy electrochemical performance and mechanical *** a proof of concept,the unencapsulated battery powered a digital watch under various deformation conditions and operated stably for 80 ***,the flexible battery displayed outstanding customizability,maintaining an open-circuit voltage of 1.42 V even after being cut *** proposed engineering strategy contributes to the realization of textiles with truly wearable energy-storage devices.

Technical research on optimization design of contacts of electrical connector

Pin and socket contacts are the key parts of electrical connector as aerospace electronic components. The contacts are also the direct carriers for signal transmitting of electronic equipments, passing the signal from the input end to the output end of electrical connector. The reliability of pin and socket contacts directly influences signal transmission. The goal of this study is to enhance the contact reliability of aerospace electrical connector. Computer simulation analysis was made on contacts performance data by utilizing the simulation system developed by PCL language of MSC software. Furthermore, the results were experi- mentally validated so as to realize the objective of optimizing contacts design.

Human neural stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles protect against ischemic stroke by activating the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway

A Symbol Timing Recovery Algorithm of M-PSK Signals for Burst Modem Applications with Small Packet Size

Feedforward symbol timing recovery techniques are particularly important for initial acquisition in burst modems. However, these techniques either have large calculation burden or sensitive to frequency offsets. In this paper, we proposed an efficient symbol timing recovery algorithm of MPSK signals named OMQ(Ordered Maximum power using Quadratic approximation partially) algorithm which is based on the Quadratic Approximation(QA) algorithm. We used ordered statistic sorting method to reduce the computational complexity further, meanwhile maximum mean power principle was used to decrease frequency offset sensitivity. The proposed algorithm adopts estimation-down sampling structure which is suitable for small packet size transmission. The results show that, while comparing with the QA algorithm, the computational complexity is reduced by 75% at most when 8 samples per symbol are used. The proposed algorithm shows better performance in terms of the jitter variance and sensitivity to frequency offsets.
