To further study the effect of sputtered Au film as transition electrode layer on the electrical properties and interface microstructures of Na20-PbO-Nb2O5-SiO2 multilayer glass-ceramic capacitors, Au films pre-deposited at different time were prepared by DC magnetron sputtering. Compared with the single paste electrode structure, samples with Au films pre-deposited from 6 to 18 min have the consistent perfor- mance to effectively improve the electrical properties of the capacitors, resulting in the doubled breakdown strength, an increase of equivalent capacitance by 22% and a decrease of leakage current by an order of magnitude. SEM observations indicate that the Au films with deposition time from 6 to 18 min would all help the formation of a dense electrode/dielectric interface and inhibit the diffusion of Ag. The results reveal that Au film pre-deposited for 6 min as inner electrode was sufficient to improve the interface microstructure and therefore to inhibit the Ag diffusion and enhance the overall performance of the multi-layer glass-ceramic capacitors.

Lead-free glass-ceramic composites in barium sodium niobate silica system with Gd2O3 addition were synthesized through melt-casting fol-lowed by controlled crystallization technique. Crystallization and dielectric properties of the Gd2O3 adding glass-ceramic composites were investigated. With the increase in the concentration of Gd2O3, the glass transition temperature and the crystallization temperature of the pre-cursor glass shift towards the higher temperature. The crystallization behavior that occurred during the heat treatment procedure leads to the enhancement of dielectric constant. All the three compositions of glass-ceramic composites exhibit ferroelectricity when tested at room tem-perature. Both the values of the remanent polarization and coercive field are enhanced regularly with the gradual increase in the concentration of Gd2O3 additive under the same testing field.

As persulfate(S_(2)O_(8)^(2-))is being increasingly used as an alternative oxidizing agent,developing lowcost and eco-friendly catalysts for efficient S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)activation is potentially useful for the treatment of wastewater containing refractory organic *** this study,the degradative features and mechanisms of carbamazepine(CBZ)were systematically investigated in a novel FeS-S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)process under near-neutral *** results exhibited that CBZ can be effectively eliminated by the FeS-S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)process and the optimal conditions were:250 mg/L FeS,0.5 mmol/L S_(2)O_(8)^(2-),and pH=*** existence of Cl^(−)(1 and 50 mmol/L)has little influence on the CBZ elimination,while both HCO_(3)^(−) and HPO_(4)^(2−)(1 and 50 mmol/L)significantly suppressed the CBZ removal in the FeS-S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)*** could be degraded via a radical mechanism in the FeS-S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)process,the working radical species(i.e.,SO_(4)•−and•OH)were efficiently formed via the promoted decomposition of S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)by the surface Fe2+on the FeS and the dissolved ferrous ions in *** on the identified oxidized products and Fukui index calculations,a possible degradation pathway of CBZ was *** importantly,a two-stage oxidation mechanism of CBZ elimination was speculated in the FeS-S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)process,the activation of S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)by the surface-active Fe(II)of FeS dominated in the initial 5 min,while homogeneous oxidation reactions played more essential parts than others in the following reaction stage(5–60 min).Overall,this study demonstrated that the FeS-S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)process is capable of removing CBZ from water efficiently.

An on-line Ag/Al galvanic cell is investigated and employed to generate electrochemiluminescence (ECL). The potential of the galvanic cell could be adjusted by varying the components of flow reagent. The cell performed perfect capability of supplying a stable potential for ECL generation. Based on the weak ECL of calcein blue could be greatly sensitized by the presence of calcium in alkaline solution, calcium contents in milk samples and in cabbage were assayed and the results were compared with those from ICP-AES method.

In order to explore the impact of circadian disturbance on erectile function,we randomly divided 24 adult male rats into groups of control(light on at 8:00 *** off at 8:00 p.m.),dark/dark(DD;constant dark),light/light(LL;constant light),and shift dark/light(DL;light off at 8:00 *** on at 8:0o p.m.).Four weeks later,erectile function was measured and corpora cavernosa were harvested for *** maximum intracavernous pressure(mlcP)and mCP/mean arterial pressure(MAP)ratio in the DD,LL,and DL groups were significantly lower than that in the control *** LL and DL groups showed significantly attenuated endothelial nitric oxide synthase(eNOS),while DD,LL,and DL showed reduced neuronal nitric oxide synthase(nNOS)at both mRNA and protein *** production of nitric oxide(NO)and cyclic guanosinemonophosphate(cGMP)was inhibited by altered light/dark cycles to varying *** disturbance impaired endothelial function and contributed to erectile *** the core circadian elements,mRNA expression of circadian locomotor output cycles kaput(Clock)and brain/muscle aryl-hydrocarbon receptor nuclear translocator-like protein 1(Bmal1)was elevated in the DL group,but their protein expression was not significantly ***,LL,and DL increased period 1(Per1)and Per3 levels,while LL and DL increased PER1 *** significant difference was found for Per2levels,and PER2 and PER3 concentrations were not significantly ***,LL and DL significantly increased cryptochrome-1(CRY1)and CRY2 at both mRNA and protein *** altered light/dark rat model showed that circadian disturbance contributed to erectile dysfunction probably by impairing endothelial ***,the core circadian elements were detected in the corpora cavernosa,but these were ***,which circadian element regulates erectile function and how it works need further analysis.

Experimental investigation of flow past a circular cylinder with hydrophobic coating

A series of experiments are performed in a gravitational low-speed water tunnel to investigate the influence of the hydrophobic coating on the flow past a circular cylinder. The mean velocity and turbulence intensity profiles behind the cylinders are measured using the hot-film anemometer while the separation angles are obtained with the flow visualization technology. For the Reynolds number lower than 3 800, the hydrophobic coatings are in the Cassie state, the velocity deficit and the turbulence intensity in the wake of the hydrophobic cylinders are lower than those of the smooth cylinders which implies the drag reduction effect of the hydrophobic coatings. When the Reynolds number becomes higher than 6 600, the hydrophobic coatings turn into the Wenzel state. Through decomposing the velocity data in the turbulent wake into different scales based on the orthogonal wavelet transform, it is found that the total turbulence intensity in the wake of the hydrophobic cylinders becomes almost the same as in the wake of the smooth cylinders while the intensity of the large scales of vortex components in the wake of the hydrophobic cylinders is still lower. Furthermore, the separation angles show the same trend as a function of the Reynolds number but always take smaller values for the hydrophobic cylinders.

In this paper,the host-guest interaction of cucurbit[7]uril(Q[7]) and chromone(CMO) has been developed as a fluorescent probe for the highly selective detection of Zn2+ and Cd^(2+) in water based on a chelation-enhanced fluorescence(CHEF) *** was a good linear relationship between the fluorescence intensity of the CMO@Q[7] probe and the concentration of Zn^(2+ )or Cd^(2+) in the range of 0-3.0×10^(-5) mol/L and the detection limit for Zn^(2+) and Cd2+ was found to be 2.03×10^(-6) mol/L and 1.89×10^(-6)mol/L,*** X-ray crystal structure indicated that different coordination fashions were triggered by Zn^(2+) and Cd^(2+ )in the CMO@Q[7] complexes,***,both metal ions coordinated with the carbonyl oxygen of CMO,which was encapsulated in the cavity of Q[7],thus leading to the enhancement of recognition fluorescence emission of CMO.

Exploring the structure-activity relationship between the performance of gas sensors and the structure of semiconductor metal oxide(SMO)nanomaterials is crucial for understanding and designing gas-sensing materials and overcoming the application limitations of SMO-based gas *** of a single SMO microstructure provides a promising solution to address this scientific problem due to its controllable *** this study,we control the grain boundary(GB)density of Fe_(2)O_(3)nanomaterials using a simple solvothermal *** have similar chemical compositions and crystal phases,providing an ideal platform for studying the influence of the GB density on the gas-sensing ***-sensing tests showed that the Fe_(2)O_(3)-1 sensor with medium GB density and the Fe_(2)O_(3)-2 sensor with high GB density had higher sensitivity and selectivity than the Fe_(2)O_(3)-0 sensors with low GB density before reaching the optimal operating ***,when the GB density increased,the response to acetone decreased slightly,whereas the optimal operating temperature *** work highlights the unique performance of the GB density in enhancing the gas sensitivity of a single SMO.

N-Methyl-D-aspartate receptors（NMDARs） play a central role in various physiological and pathological processes in the central nervous *** they are commonly composed of four subunits,two GluN1 subunits and two GluN2 or GluN3 *** different subunit compositions make NMDARs a heterogeneous population with distinct electrophysiological and pharmacological properties and thus with different abilities to conduct neuronal *** subunit composition,assembly process,and final structure of assembled NMDARs have been studied for years but no consensus has been *** this study,we investigated the role of the amino terminal domain（ATD） of GluN2A in regulating NMDAR *** ATD of GluN2A was first expressed in heterogeneous cells and the homodimer formation was investigated by fluorescent resonance energy transfer and non-reducing SDS- PAGE *** of the three cysteine residues located in the ATD was mutated into alanine,and the homodimerization of the ATD or GluN2A,as well as the heteromeric assembly of NMDARs was assessed by non-reducing SDS- PAGE electrophoresis,co-immunoprecipitation and *** found that two cysteine residues,C87 and C320,in the ATD of the GluN2A subunit were required for the formation of disulfide bonds and GluN2A ATD ***,the disruption of GluN2A ATD domain dimerization had no influence on the assembly and surface expression of *** results suggest that the two ATD domains of GluN2A are structurally adjacent in fully-assembled ***,unlike GluN1,the homomerization of the ATD domain of GluN2A is not required for the assembly of NMDARs,implying that GluN2A and GluN1 play unequal roles in NMDAR assembly.

Over the past two decades, numerous non-coding RNAs(ncRNAs) have been identified in different biological systems including virology, especially in large DNA viruses such as herpesviruses. As a representative oncogenic alphaherpesvirus, Marek’s disease virus(MDV) causes an important immunosuppressive and rapid-onset neoplastic disease of poultry, namely Marek’s disease(MD). Vaccinations can efficiently prevent the onset of MD lymphomas and other clinical disease, often heralded as the first successful example of vaccination-based control of cancer. MDV infection is also an excellent model for research into virally-induced tumorigenesis. Recently, great progress has been made in understanding the functions of ncRNAs in MD ***, we give a review of the discovery and identification of MDV-encoded viral miRNAs, focusing on the genomics,expression profiles, and emerging critical roles of MDV-1 miRNAs as oncogenic miRNAs(oncomiRs) or tumor suppressor genes involved in the induction of MD lymphomas. We also described the involvements of host cellular miRNAs, lincRNAs, and circRNAs participating in MDV life cycle, pathogenesis, and/or tumorigenesis. The prospects, strategies, and new techniques such as the CRISPR/Cas9-based gene editing applicable for further investigation into the ncRNA-mediated regulatory mechanisms in MDV pathogenesis/oncogenesis were also discussed, together with the possibilities of future studies on antiviral therapy and the development of new efficient MD vaccines.
