Plant-derived nanovesicles(PDNVs)derived from natural green products have emerged as an attractive nanoplatform in biomedical *** are usually characterized by unique structural and biological functions,such as the bioactive lipids/proteins/nucleic acids as therapeutics and targeting groups,immune-modulation,and long-term *** the rapid development of nanotechnology,materials,and synthetic chemistry,PDNVs can be engineered with multiple functions for efficient drug delivery and specific killing of diseased cells,which represent an innovative biomaterial with high biocompatibility for fighting against *** this review,we provide an overview of the state-of-theart studies concerning the development of PDNVs for cancer *** original sources,methods for obtaining PDNVs,composition and structure are introduced *** an emphasis on the featured application,the inherent anticancer properties of PDNVs as well as the strategies in constructing multifunctional PDNVs-based nanomaterials will be discussed in ***,some scientific issues and technical challenges of PDNVs as promising options in improving anticancer therapy will be discussed,which are expected to promote the further development of PDNVs in clinical translation.

In the coming decades,the space-based gravitational-wave(GW)detectors such as Taiji,Tianqin,and LISA are expected to form a network capable of detecting millihertz GWs emitted by the mergers of massive black hole binaries(MBHBs).In this work,we investigate the potential of GW standard sirens from the Taiji-Tianqin-LISA network in constraining cosmological *** the optimistic scenario in which electromagnetic(EM)counterparts can be detected,we predict the number of detectable bright sirens based on three different MBHB population models,i.e.,popⅢ,q3d,and *** results show that the TaijiTianqin-LISA network alone could achieve a constraint precision of 0.9%for the Hubble constant,meeting the standard of precision ***,the Taiji-Tianqin-LISA network could effectively break the cosmological parameter degeneracies generated by the CMB data,particularly in the dynamical dark energy *** combined with the CMB data,the joint CMB+Taiji-Tianqin-LISA data offerσ(w)=0.036 in the wCDM model,which is close to the latest constraint result obtained from the CMB+SN *** also consider a conservative scenario in which EM counterparts are not *** to the precise sky localizations of MBHBs by the Taiji-Tianqin-LISA network,the constraint precision of the Hubble constant is expected to reach 1.2%.In conclusion,the GW standard sirens from the Taiji-Tianqin-LISA network will play a critical role in helping solve the Hubble tension and shedding light on the nature of dark energy.

Composition characterization and transformation mechanism of dissolved organic phosphorus in wastewater treatment using 31P NMR spectroscopy

The migration and transformation of phosphorus components in wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs)play a crucial role in the convergence and circulation of ***,the composition and variation of dissolved organic phosphorus(DOP)in WWTPs were unclear because of its complex nature,hindering its efficient *** this study,the DOP species and their transformation during the treatment process in WWTP were comprehensively ***,two enrichment methods were assessed for their effectiveness at facilitating wastewater analysis:lyophilization and aluminum salt *** salt precipitation was found to be better because its application allowed 31P nuclear magnetic resonance(31P NMR)spectroscopy to identify more species in the secondary effluent:orthophosphate(Ortho-P)(81.1%–89.3%of the dissolved total phosphorus),pyrophosphates(Pyro-P)(0%–2.3%),orthophosphate monoesters(Mono-P)(7.0%–10.77%),orthophosphate diesters(Di-P)(1.0%–2.96%),and phosphonate(Phos-P)(1.7%–5.16%).Furthermore,the variation and transformation mechanism of phosphorus,particularly those of DOP,during the entire sewage-treatment process were *** the treatment steps,biological treatment combined tertiary treatment achieved better DOP removal ***,biological treatment mainly removed Mono-P and Di-P with removal efficiencies of 33.3%and 41.7%compared with the effluent of the grit ***-P has higher bioavailability and is more easily converted and utilized by microorganisms than ***,Phos-P,with low bioavailability,was hardly utilized by microorganisms,which showed only 18.4%removal efficiency in biological *** tertiary treatment,coagulation process exhibited higher removal ability of Ortho-P(69.1%)and partial removal efficiencies of DOP,resulting in an increase in the DOP proportion in *** addition,Phos-P could not be effectively removed through the biological treatment and was only partially reduced via the adsorption pro

Warming-induced carbon loss via ecosystem respiration(R_(e))is probably intensifying in the alpine grassland ecosystem of the Tibetan Plateau owing to more accelerated warming and the higher temperature sensitivity of R_(e)(q_(10)).However,little is known about the patterns and controlling factors of q_(10)on the plateau,impeding the comprehension of the intensity of terrestrial carbon-climate feedbacks for these sensitive and vulnerable ***,we synthesized and analyzed multiyear observations from 14 sites to systematically compare the spatiotemporal variations of q_(10)values in diverse climate zones and ecosystems,and further explore the relationships between q_(10)and environmental ***,structural equation modeling was utilized to identify the direct and indirect factors predicting q_(10)values during the annual,growing,and non-growing *** results indicated that the estimated q_(10)values were strongly dependent on temperature,generally,with the average q_(10)during different time periods increasing with air temperature and soil temperature at different measurement depths(5 cm,10 cm,20 cm).The q_(10)values differentiated among ecosystems and climatic zones,with warming-induced q_(10)declines being stronger in colder regions than elsewhere based on spatial *** was the most cardinal factor in predicting annual q_(10)values,significantly and positively correlated with q_(10).Soil temperature(Ts)was identified as the other powerful predictor for q_(10),and the negative q_(10)-Ts relationship demonstrates a larger terrestrial carbon loss potentiality in colder than in warmer regions in response to global *** that the interpretations of the effect of soil moisture on q_(10)were complicated,reflected in a significant positive relationship between q_(10)and soil moisture during the growing season and a strong quadratic correlation between the two during the annual and non-growing *** findings are conducive to imp

Synthesis of Single-Crystal TiO_2 Nanowire Using Titanium Monoxide Powder by Thermal Evaporation

TiO 2 nanowires were synthesized successfully in a large quantity by thermal evaporation using titanium monoxide powder as precursor. X-ray diffraction results showed that all the products were pure rutile phase of TiO 2 . According to microstructural observations, the nanowires have two typical morphologies, a long straight type and a short tortuous type. The straight nanowires were obtained at a wide temperature range of 900–1050 ℃, while the tortuous ones were formed below 900 ℃. Transmission electron microscopy characterization revealed that both the straight and the tortuous nanowires are single-crystal rutile TiO 2 . The preferential growth direction of the nanowires was determined as [110] orientation according to electron diffraction and high-resolution image analyses. The morphological change of TiO 2 nanowires was discussed by considering the different atomic diffusion rates of Ti atoms caused by the phase transformation in Ti substrate at around 900 ℃.

Peripheral nerve injury poses a great threat to neurosurgery and limits the regenerative potential of sacral nerves in the neurogenic bladder. It remains unknown whether electrical stimulation can facilitate sacral nerve regeneration in addition to modulate bladder function. The objective of this study was to utilise electrical stimulation in sacra nerve crush injury with newly constructed electroconductive scaffold and explore the role of macrophages in electrical stimulation with crushed nerves. As a result, we generated a polypyrrole-coated polycaprolactone/silk fibroin scaffold through which we applied electrical stimulation. The electrical stimulation boosted nerve regeneration and polarised the macrophages towards the M2 phenotype. An in vitro test using bone marrow derived macrophages revealed that the pro-regenerative polarisation of M2 were significantly enhanced by electrical stimulation. Bioinformatics analysis showed that the expression of signal transducer and activator of transcriptions (STATs) was differentially regulated in a way that promoted M2-related genes expression. Our work indicated the feasibility of electricals stimulation used for sacral nerve regeneration and provided a firm demonstration of a pivotal role which macrophages played in electrical stimulation. © 2024, Chinese Medical Multimedia Press Co Ltd. First-principles Investigation of Bi Segregation at the Solder Interface of Cu/Cu_3Sn(010)

Density functional theory was employed to investigate the bismuth segregation at Cu/Cu3Sn（010） interface. Five initial constructions were introduced by adopting the adhesion energy criterion. Among them, the so-called ＂between-Cu＂ construction in which the interface Cu atoms of Cu slab locate along Cu-Cu bond direction in Cu3Sn slab was found to be the most energy-favored at an adhesion energy of 1.96 J/m^2. Based on this construction, five possible segregation sites were examined, and the most likely segregation site was determined with adhesion energy as low as 1.06 J/m^2, which was almost half of the initial one. Comparing with other sitest adhesion energies, it was concluded that size effect took a large part in embrittlement. The analyses of atomic structure and electronic density revealed that the slabs shifted away from interfaces due to bismuth segregation, and the atoms around Bi atom were Dressed away. This calculated work agreed aualitativelv with reported experimental results.
