The aim is to compute all sources of geometrical uncertainty in prostate radiotherapy using fiducial markers and determine the safety treatment margins. based on the markers position, correlations between prostate rotation/deformation and rectal and bladder fillings as well as changes in prostate volume during the treatment course are analyzed. The study includes 375 pre-treatment CbCT images from 15 prostate cancer patients treated with hypofractionated radiotherapy. The position coordinates of the markers were obtained from each image acquisition. In addition, rectum and bladder were outlined on CbCTs. The intrafractional error was estimated by an additional post-treatment CbCT acquired on alternate days. Tau-Kendall analysis was performed to correlate organ fillings with prostate rotation/deformation. Delineation uncertainty was assessed from contours of 10 patients performed by two radiation oncologists and repeated twice. The CT contouring was assisted by a multiparametric MR approach combining a T2-weighted with diffusion-weighted imaging, and a gradient recalled echo for fiducial marker identification. Uncertainty associated to treatment unit was estimated from phantom measurements. The obtained clinical margins were 4.4, 7.3, 5.1 mm in the Left-Right, Superior-Inferior, and Anterior-Posterior directions, respectively, being the contouring the most important contribution. The mechanical limitations of the beam delivery system and the associated imaging device entailed errors of the same order as prostate motion, rotation or deformation. Weak correlations between variation of the rectal volume and the presence of rotations/deformations were found (correlation coefficient 0.182, p = 0.001 for rotations around lateral axis;correlation coefficients 0.1, p between markers decreased with session number, becoming more pronounced from fraction 13 and reaching 1 - 1.8 mm at the end of the treatment. In this work, aerial parts of Euphorbia guyoniana were studied. The use of preparative high pressure liquid chromatography allowed to isolate two flavonoids and a gallic tannins： Quercetine-3 O-β-D-glucuronide, kaempferol-30-β-D-glucuronide and 1, 2, 6 tri-O-galloyl-β-D-glucose. Identifications were carried out using spectroscopic methods. In addition, scavenger potential of these compounds was studied using DPPH test.

Proanthocyanidins and flavanoids, both subfamilies of the polyphenols, are highly concentrated in different fruits and berries as well as in fruit pomace. They have shown to exhibit anti-cancer, anti-microbial, anti-oxidative, and im- mune-modulatory effects in vertebrates. Herein the effect of additional apple pomace or red-grape pomace in conven- tional piglet starter feeds were investigated in 36 young growing piglets. Immunological marker gene expression was quantified by quantitative real-time RT-PCR in white blood cells, and intestinal bacterial flora was investigated from weaning to three weeks post weaning. Polyphenol content in red-grape pomace, gut content and tissues were analyzed with HPLC. Flavan-3-ols (epicatechin and catechin) and proanthocyanidins (b1, b2 and C1) were identified in the gas- tro-intestinal tract content, whereas only traces could be detected in various piglet organs. The blood parameters, he- moglobin and hematocrit, were affected and down-regulated in all groups over testing period. In both pomace treated groups more thrombocytes were present compared to the standard feeding group. It turns out, that the pomace diets had greatest impact on the bacterial content in the colon. Results demonstrate that feeding apple pomace and red- grape pomace tended to increase the number of total colonic bacteria. Steptococci/Enterococci increased in the red- grape pomace. C. perfringens was not detectable at the second time point. The number of lactobacilli increased in both applied diets. The number of Clostridium perfringens decreased with the age of the piglets. Trends of mRNA expression changes were found in white blood cell (WbC) between different feeding regimens, since the expression variability in the groups was very high. between the different time points there were significant differences within the apple pomace group, where TNF? The demands for high quality products are increasing in the market, so several tests are performed. These analyses are destructive, time consuming and sometimes expensive. The spectral imaging technique is an alternative that can reduce costs and time and increase the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of these analyses. In this context, the aim of this study was to verify the spectral behavior of the tomato in function of the maturation and its potential use for non-destructive evaluation of food quality. Eighty tomatoes of the Italian group were selected in four stages of maturation （green, pink, light red and red）. Images were collected in wavelengths 480 nm to 710 nm （every 10 nm）. After the images were collected, the fruits were submitted to the physical-chemical analyses. The following parameters were analyzed： color, color index （CI）, pH, soluble solids （SS）, total titratable acidity （TTA） and ratio （SS/TTA）. After characterization the mean spectrum was obtained by the extraction of the spectral characteristics. It was observed that the spectral behavior was the same for all stages of maturation. It was possible to differentiate the green tomatoes in the wavelengths from 520 nm to 560 nm and from 610 nm to 660 nm. These intervals represent the area of reflection of chlorophyll and lycopene, respectively. Near the wavelength 560 nm, the highest absorbance was recorded by ripe tomatoes due to the concentration of lycopene. It is concluded that the best wavelengths for analysis are those in which green has the highest reflectance and it is possible to apply this technique for non-destructive analysis of the maturation of tomatoes.

Louisiana is endowed with forest resources. Forest wastes generated after thinning, land clearing, and logging operations, such as wood debris, tree trimmings, barks, sawdust, wood chips, and black liquor, among others, can serve as potential fuels for energy production in Louisiana. This paper aims to evaluate the potential annual volumes of forest wastes established on detailed and existing data on the forest structure in the rural-urban interface of Louisiana. It also demonstrates the state’s prospects of utilizing forest wastes to produce bio-oils. The data specific to the study was deduced from secondary data sources to obtain the annual average total residue production in Louisiana and estimate the number of logging residues available for procurement for bioenergy production. The total biomass production per year was modeled versus years by polynomial regression curve fitting using Microsoft Excel. Results of the model show that the cumulative annual total biomass production for 2025 and 2030 in Louisiana is projected to be 80000000 bone Dry Ton (bDT) and 16000000 (bDT) respectively. The findings of the study depict that Louisiana has a massive biomass supply from forest wastes for bioenergy production. Thus, the potential for Louisiana to become an influential player in the production of bio-based products from forest residues is evident. The author recommends that future research can use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to create maps displaying the potential locations and utilization centers of forest wastes for bioenergy production in the state.
