CH_4 Oxidation Potentials of Diferent Land Uses in Three Gorges Reservoir Area of Central Subtropical China

To compare the CH4 oxidation potential among different land uses and seasons, and to observe its response to monsoon precipi- tation pattern and carbon and nitrogen parameters, a one-year study was conducted for different land uses （vegetable field, tilled and non-tilled orchard, upland crops and pine forest） in central subtropical China. Results showed significant differences in CH4 oxidation potential among different land uses （ranging from -3.08 to 0.36 kg CH4 ha-1 year-l）. Upland with corn-peanut-sweet potato rotation showed the highest CH4 emission, while pine forest showed the highest CH4 oxidation potential among all land uses. Non-tilled citrus orchard （-0.72 ~ 0.08 kg cha ha-1 year-1） absorbed two times more CH4 than tilled citrus orchard （-0.38 ~ 0.06 kg CH4 ha-1 year-l）. Irrespective of different vegetation, inorganic N fertilizer application significantly influenced CH4 fluxes across the sites （R2 ： 0.86, P -- 0.002）. Water-filled pore space, soil microbial biomass carbon, and dissolved nitrogen showed significant effects across different land uses （31% to 38% of variability） in one linear regression model. However, their cumulative interaction was significant for pine forest only, which might be attributed to undisturbed microbial communities legitimately responding to other variables, leading to net CH4 oxidation in the soil. These results suggested that i） natural soil condition tended to create win-win situation for CH4 oxidation, and agricultural activities could disrupt the oxidation potentials of the soils; and ii） specific management practices including but not limiting to efficient fertilizer application and utilization, water use efficiency, and less soil disruption might be required to increase the CH4 uptake from the soil.

Introduction Internal carotid artery termination(ICAT)and proximal A1 aneurysms can be challenging for open surgical clipping or endovascular *** with flow diversion covering the middle cerebral artery(MCA),an end vessel supplying a terminal circulation,has not been *** A prospective,Institutional Review Board-approved database was analysed for patients with pipeline embolisation device(PED)placement from the anterior cerebral artery(ACA)to the ICA during cerebral aneurysm *** Nine cases were identified,including five proximal A1,three posterior communicating artery and one ICAT aneurysm *** aneurysm size was 8.3 mm(range 3-17),with 67%saccular and 78%*** indication for treatment was significant dome irregularity(44%),recurrence or enlargement(33%),underlying collagen vascular disorder(11%)and traumatic pseudoaneurysm(11%).Preservation of the ipsilateral ACA(with PED placed in A1)was performed when the anterior communicating artery(67%)or contralateral A1(33%)were absent on *** coiling was done in four cases(44%).There was one maj.r stroke leading to mortality(11%)and one minor stroke(11%).Clinical follow-up was 27 months on ***-up digital subtraction angiography(average interval 15 months)showed complete aneurysm obliteration(88%)or dome occlusion with entry remnant(12%).The j.iled MCA showed minimal or mild delay(primarily anterograde flow)in 75%of cases and significant delay(reliance primarily on ACA and external carotid artery collaterals)in 25%.Conclusions Covering the MCA with a flow diverting stent should be reserved for select rare *** attention to blood pressure augmentation during the periprocedural period is necessary to minimise potential ischaemic compromise.

We aimed to explore the associations between different lipid profiles and semen quality in a large-scale general male population. Sperm concentration, total sperm motility, progressive motility, and normal sperm morphology of total 7601 participants were recorded. The association of these semen parameters with the triglyceride, total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein, low-density lipoprotein, and very low-density lipoprotein of serum lipid profiles was analyzed. Sperm concentration was statistically positively correlated with triglyceride and very low-density lipoprotein （adj.sted P= 0.001 and P= 0.005, respectively）. Total sperm motility and progressive motility were statistically increased with increasing low-density lipoprotein and cholesterol levels （both adj.sted P = 0.008 and P 〈 0.001, respectively）. The similar j.shaped associations （high-low-low-high） were noted between individual lipid profile and normal sperm morphology, especially low-density lipoprotein and cholesterol with statistical significance （adj.sted P = 0.017 and P= 0.021, respectively）. The prevalence of abnormal total sperm motility and progressive motility was decreased in participants with high levels of cholesterol （P = 0.008 and P = 0.019, respectively）, and the reverse j.shaped associations （low-high-high-low） were noted between high-density lipoprotein, triglyceride, very low-density lipoprotein, and the prevalence of abnormal normal sperm morphology （P = 0.010, P = 0.037, and P = 0.025, respectively）. A high cholesterol level was associated with better sperm motility. Similar j.shaped associations were noted between all lipid profiles and normal sperm morphology; meanwhile, the reverse j.shaped trends were identified between them and abnormal normal sperm morphology prevalence.

＜正＞This study examines the effect of delegation of control rights on the role of financial accounting information in top executive replacement *** on the theory on decentralization of the firm as summarized in Christie et al.,（2003）,we hypothesize that,in top executive replacement decisions,1) delegation of control rights by ultimate controlling owners heightens their reliance on financial performance indicators;and 2) presence of related party transactions increases the externality of accounting information which,in turn,weakens this *** find our results are consistent with both these hypotheses after taking advantage of data available from the Chinese stock market,where concern for endogeneity is minimized by a given set of organizational structure that is predetermined by IPO rules..These findings are robust to alternative empirical specifications and they extend the literature on the relationship between organizational structure and decision usefulness of financial accounting information.

In this paper we demonstrated a method to reconstruct vector-valued lattice distortion fields within nanoscale crystals by optimization of a forward model of multi-reflection Bragg coherent diffraction imaging(MR-BCDI)*** method flexibly accounts for geometric factors that arise when making BCDI measurements,is amenable to efficient inversion with modern optimization toolkits,and allows for globally constraining a single image reconstruction to multiple Bragg peak *** is enabled by a forward model that emulates the multiple Bragg peaks of a MR-BCDI experiment from a single estimate of the 3D crystal *** present this forward model,we implement it within the stochastic gradient descent optimization framework,and we demonstrate it with simulated and experimental data of nanocrystals with inhomogeneous internal lattice *** find that utilizing a global optimization approach to MR-BCDI affords a reliable path to convergence of data which is otherwise challenging to reconstruct.
