Hydrophobic surface modification of chitosan gels by stearyl for improving the activity of immobilized lipase

The hydrophobic surface modification of chitosan gels was carried out using the amidating reaction of amido groups on a gel surface with stearic acid activated by 1-ethyl-3-（3-dimethylaminopropyl）-carbodiimide hydrochloride （EDC） and N-hydroxysuccinimide （NHS）. Lipases from Candida rugosa were adsorbed on the nascent chitosan gels （CS） and stearyl-modified gels （SCS） with different degrees of amidation. The increased surface hydrophobicity of chitosan gels improved the adsorption capacity and activity of the immobilized lipase. SCS with 31.46% amidation showed the maximum activity retention （83.43%）. The experimental results suggest that the moderate surface hydrophilicity/hydrophobicity of chitosan gels is necessary for the improvement of the activity of immobilized lipase. ？2009 Hong Tao Deng. To investigate the associations between isocarbophos and isofenphos with impaired fasting glucose(IFG)and type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM),and to assess the mediation roles of inflammation *** were 2701 participants in the case-control study,including 896 patients with T2DM,900 patients with IFG,905 subjects with *** isocarbophos and isofenphos concentrationsweremeasured using gas chromatography and triple quadrupole tandem mass *** linear models were used to calculate the relationships between plasma isofenphos and isocarbophos levels with inflammatory factor levels and *** cell was used as mediators to estimate the mediating effects on the above *** and isofenphos were positively related with T2DM after adjusting for other *** odds ratio(95%confidence interval)(OR(95%CI))for T2DM was 1.041(1.015,1.068)and for IFG was 1.066(1.009,1.127)per unit rise in *** prevalence of T2DM increased by 6.4%for every 1 unit more of ln-isofenphos(OR(95%CI):1.064(1.041,1.087)).Additionally,a 100%rise in ln-isocarbophos was linked to 3.3%higher ln-HOma2IR and a 0.029 mmol/L higher glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c)(95%CI:0.007,0.051).While a 100%rise in ln-isofenphos was linked to increase in ln-HOma2 and ln-HOma2IR of 5.8%and 3.4%,***,white blood cell(WBC)and neutrophilic(NE)were found to be mediators in the relationship between isocarbophos and T2DM,and the corresponding proportions were 17.12%and 17.67%,*** and isocarbophos are associated with IFG and T2DM in the rural Chinese population,WBC and NE have a significant role in this relationship.

Rechargeable aqueous zinc-ion batteries(AZIBs)exhibit appreciable potential in the domain of electrochemical energy ***,there are serious challenges for AZIBs,for instance zinc dendrite growth,hydrogen evolution reaction(HER),and corrosion side ***,we propose a surface engineering modification strategy for coating the montmorillonite(MMT)layer onto the surface of the Zn anode to tackle these issues,thereby achieving high cycling stability for rechargeable *** results reveal that the MMT layer on the surface of the Zn anode is able to provide ordered zincophilic channels for zinc ions migration,facilitating the reaction kinetics of zinc *** functional theory(DFT)calculations and water contact angle(CA)tests prove that MMT@Zn anode exhibits superior adsorption capacity for Zn^(2+)and better hydrophobicity than the bare Zn anode,thereby achieving excellent cycling ***,the MMT@Zn||MMT@Zn symmetric cell holds the stable cycling over 5600 h at 0.5 ma cm^(-2)and 0.125 m A h cm^(-2),even exceeding 1800 h long cycling under harsh conditions of 5 m A cm^(-2)and 1.25 m A h cm^(-2).The MMT@Zn||V_(2)O_(5)full cell reaches over 3000 cycles at 2 A g^(-1)with excellent rate ***,this surface engineering modification strategy for enhancing the electrochemical performance of AZIBs represents a promising application.

Efficient and stable photocathodes with versatility are of significance in photoassisted lithium-ion batteries(PLIBs),while there is always a request on fast carrier transport in electrochemical active *** work proposes a general approach of creating bulk heterojunction to boost the carrier mobility of photocathodes by simply laser assisted embedding of plasmonic *** employed in PLIBs,it was found effective for synchronously enhanced photocharge separation and transport in light charging ***,experimental photon spectroscopy,finite difference time domain method simulation and theoretical analyses demonstrate that the improved carrier dynamics are driven by the plasmonic-induced hot electron injection from metal to TiO_(2),as well as the enhanced conductivity in TiO2 matrix due to the formation of oxygen vacancies after Schottky *** from these merits,several benchmark values in performance of TiO2-based photocathode applied in PLIBs are set,including the capacity of 276 mah g^(−1) at 0.2 A g^(−1) under illumination,photoconversion efficiency of 1.276%at 3 A g^(−1),less capacity and Columbic efficiency loss even through 200 *** results exemplify the potential of the bulk heterojunction strategy in developing highly efficient and stable photoassisted energy storage systems.

BACKGROUND The weight-to-waist index(WWI)serves as an innovative metric specifically designed to assess central ***,the relationship between WWI and the prevalence of post-stroke depression(PSD)remains inadequately explored in the *** To elucidate the relationship between WWI and *** Data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2005 to 2018 were *** logistic regression models and propensity score matching were utilized to investigate the association between WWI and PSD,with adjustments for potential *** restricted cubic spline statistical method was applied to explore non-linear *** Participants with elevated WWI values had a significantly greater risk of developing ***,individuals in the higher WWI range exhibited more than twice the likelihood of developing PSD compared to those with lower WWI values(odds ratio=2.21,95%confidence interval:1.84-2.66,Pmatching,the risk of PSD remained significantly elevated(odds ratio=1.43,95%confidence interval:1.09-1.88,P=0.01).Tertile analysis revealed that participants in the highest WWI tertile faced a significantly higher risk of PSD compared to those in the lowest *** cubic spline analysis further revealed a non-linear association,with the risk of PSD plateauing at higher WWI *** There is a significant association between elevated WWI and increased risk of ***,regular depression screening should be implemented in stroke patients with elevated WWI to enhance patient outcomes.

基于2001-2019年WTO-OECD平衡服务贸易数据库(BaTIS),运用复杂网络分析考察全球201个国家(地区)间旅游服务贸易网络的拓扑结构、空间结构和社团结构动态演化特征,运用时间指数随机图模型(TERGM)分析网络的演化及形成机制。结果表明:全球旅游服务贸易网络规模逐渐扩大,呈现出典型的“小世界”特征;中国的“桥梁”中介作用日益突出,控制力和影响力逐渐加强;全球旅游服务贸易网络在不同时期呈现不同的组团特征,形成以美国、英国和中国为核心的3大稳定社团。旅游服务贸易联系的区域差异明显,整体网络格局呈现“一超多强”特征,亚太地区发展迅速。全球旅游服务贸易网络存在互惠效应、等级效应和时间依赖效应,经济发展水平、人口规模、国(地区)界相邻、语言邻近和自由贸易协定关系能显著促进旅游服务贸易关系的形成,且相对于高贸易规模国家(地区)而言,低贸易规模的国家(地区)之间倾向于开展旅游服务贸易。
